Utilised the First Table 50% off deal for this restaurant - it's a lovely setting and our food was very nice. The staff are very attentive and the interior is very nicely finished.

A bit disappointing. The steak was very chewy and I left alot of it. And service wasn't great. Our pudding took 20 minutes while the coffee (that we ordered at the same time) arrived in 5 minutes. I sensed that they were very busy and struggling to cope.

Lovely place and would definitely come here again. All the food was delicious and well presented. For starters we enjoyed the pan seared king scallops, frogs legs and squid rings. We had pan seared calves liver, entrecote, stuffed aubergine and the bouillabaisse. Finally, we ate the chocolate mousse, creme caramel, cafe gourmant and profiteroles.

I have been frequenting Montparnasse Cafe for the last 5 years and I can only say good things about it. The owners are lovely and aren't afraid to have a personal relationship with customers, making the experience wonderful every time I visit. The staff are always exceptional, providing top shelf customer service. And last but not least, the food is fresh and leaves little to be desired. A definite recommendation for those who live in, or are visiting, Kensington.

patron is a truly special place and almost feels magical with its candlelight and wood floors and general whimsy. the perfect place for an impromptu date - it's elevated but not too serious, true to it's french-neighbourhood-sidestreet-café-restaurant personality. the service was wonderful, we felt very well cared for and our waiter was very sweet (our bill had the name Vaia, i hope that's correct as he was lovely and deserves the recognition). we were a bit worried to show up with no booking on a friday night, but there was plenty of space for us. we ordered duck confit, tomahawk pork chop, frites, potato gratin, and the creme brulee, all of which surpassed expectations and were delicious but of course the mains portions are quite small. the seasonal matcha cocktail was also rather nice and i'd love to return to try another! the prices are reasonable enough by real world standards and great by fancy london restaurant standards. a delightful evening, thank you!
