We visited London for a show and hadn’t booked anywhere. We ended up having a late lunch/early dinner at around 3-30 after having walked around trying to find somewhere. I have seen reviews since where it can be busy and noisy but we obviously went at a good time. The staff were friendly and attentive and took our order promptly. We had a two course lunch which I cannot fault. Goats cheese salad, and steak bavette. All delicious. A nice Malbec to go with it! It was great value and good to have a set price. Would absolutely recommend. I read a recent review from someone who moaned that his table was given away as he was almost 15 minutes late. I don’t blame them! Terrible manners not to at least call the restaurant and explain. It takes seconds! If the restaurant didn’t get a call they had every right to give away the table.

Best find in Soho in years. Simple, cozy, intimate, delicious, I mean DELICIOUS food, the Beef Bourguignon was delicious, price is relatively low compared to non sense London, service very good the owner os attentious to everything as is the staff. Wine list is good for this size of restaurant and fair prices. You have the option for 2 course menu, also good in price, size and absurdly excellent in quality. The onion soup also divine, my partner had a Duck which according to him was best duck ever. Again, we will come back for sure. My new best restaurant in the area.

Pre theatre dinner for the two of us. Pre booked a table for 5.30pm ( think booking is important as walk ins were turned away) Perfect location as we were booked for a show on Shaftesbury Ave. Food was brilliant and service was great too. Bread and butter was given at the table and the butter was french and was delicious…. a real win! Beautiful beef bourguignon. Will return if heading into London for a show again.

It might seem dramatic, how I rated this place so low on every category, but the truth is that they managed to disappoint me on every one of these. This restaurant is referred to as the second ‘Pierre Victory’, however, in fact it is nothing like it. Food: From the starters, to the main dishes, the food was either cold, objectively too salty (I am not particularly sensitive to saltiness, but these have outdone even my limits) or mistaken. There are only 2 or 3 steaks on the menu, yet mine was not the one I ordered… It is also funny how they give the same bread before the starters in Pierre Victory and in here, yet in Pierre Victory it is often fresh and crispy, but here it felt like it’s been put out for 2 days. From the good side of it, the food is not bad, but it is definitely worse than same dishes in the other french restaurants I have been in. If you want a good meal and you like tasty food, this isn’t your choice. Service: Quite frankly, me and my friend were late by 13-14 minutes, and to my knowledge it is not that rare in London. After we have told the man on the welcoming table our reservation name, he has grumbled that he has given away our table and we haven’t messaged them, so there aren’t any tables. (I do go to restaurants quite often, and if there is a problem or uncertainty with the reservation, the restaurant usually is the one to at least send a text. I did not expect to be called out on not contacting the restaurant first.) He looked quite annoyed, yet after a moment he led us to a free table. The place is very crowded, and he made sure he gives us the tiniest and stuffiest table in the room. Our meal was 2 hours long, and in 2 hours I have spotted many much better tables that were free the whole time. I understand that there might be some assumptions I have made in this paragraph, however, I still think it was quite unprofessional of the staff. Atmosphere: It might be that I am just picky in here, but I was quite surprised by how loud a restaurant can be. There wasn’t a single sentence said without asking to repeat what my friend has said. I cannot even tell if there was music in the restaurant or not, because if there was some… I couldn’t hear it at any point. The tables are so close to each other that I could follow the conversations of the guests around us better than the convo with my friend. You have to actually squeeze between tables 10 cm away from each other (not an exaggeration) and often do so by asking the people around you to move away. It was a shame, since I do not see my friend very often, and we indeed struggled to keep up with the conversation. The second star that I have given for the atmosphere is for the bathroom. They were quite clean and nice - definitely unexpected given the small sizes of the restaurant itself.

Very, very impressed. Great location. Very nicely presented restaurant. The staff were all attentive and welcoming. The house wine was very tasty. Bread was fresh and warm, with good quality butter. French onion soup was a great way to start. Main courses (I had short rib, my partner the open pie) were both incredibly tasty. Banoffee pie tasted freshly made. Ingredients were very good quality. I'm a big eater and walked away feeling satisfied. I'll definitely be back.

Quality of food ok. We had duck and beef. Both missed of salt, quality of meat acceptable. Service ok Waiters were really nice, but on the edge of upselling too strong. Not in line with cost of service. Price is fixed until 6:30, if you show up after like we did your expectations will not be fulfilled. Lovely French food in pleasant small place. We had French Onion soup, then pork cheek and cod, with a side of brocolli with almonds. With 500ml carafe of wine to share and a cheese platter for two. Came in at njust over £50 pp which is good value nowadays. The soup and mains were deicious. The cheeses slightly disappointed, as biscuits were replaced by toasted bread slices and the '6 different cheeses' were actually 2 pieces each of 3 cheeses. But they were tasty. We went for a pre-theatre fixed price dinner, and added the extra side and cheeses. Without that the price would have been nearer £40 each incl. service. The staff were friendly and helpful and service was fairly swift. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will go back ourselves.

It was one of those nights where every place we turned to, turned as away with either we are full, or we ran out of food or come back in 1 hr explanation. So we decided to give the prix fixe brasserie a try. By the way what a horrible name for a restaurant. The name doesn't do justice to the quality of food served up. The service is alright, I think the staff could work on their personality and give it a bit more flair. The interior is modern but not very French and won't blow your socks off or makes you feel like you want to try this place. But the food is really good. I had one of the best steak bavette in my life. The warm duck confit salad was sublime and foie-grass toast was an interesting take on this dish. Well done love it would go back just for the food

For the price they charge, I would expect much better service. We had a dinner for my anniversary. I specified that, when booked the table, however no one greeted us for our celebration. We had 6 course tasting menu. Food was ok, but not more than that. Despite being a French restaurant, I sensed a lot of middle-eastern notes in spices and sauces. My wife did not touched the mushrooms, but no one asked her if she wants something else. I was almost running for the waitress to get the bill. After all that, 13.5% were included for the service fee. Don’t understand how restaurant with such service gets a Michelin star. Very disappointed. I am sure there are better venues in London

Not great. Food took a while to arrive even though the restaurant was almost empty. steak was tepid so sent it back. French onion soup wasn't particularly hot either. One of our party's food was forgotten and came after everybody had finished. No chamomile tea (but lots of other flavours?). Teacup was dirty so swapped it. After all that, no apologies whatsoever and the waitress had the cheek to ask for a review. Well this is it.
