Cute ambiance, plus live music! The cheese platter was good. Service speedy.

RUDE and RACIST STAFF!!! We stopped by to have a drink yesterday and the waiter serving us outside (a young Italian lad?) was the rudest and frankly came across racist to us! From the minute we sat down, he ignored us most of the time when we tried to call him to order, and acted really grumpy when he did stop by. we couldn't think of any reason why he would behave like this except of our race, because we saw he was nice to other customers on either side of us! I've been coming to Cafe Boheme for years, and by far, this was the worst experience. We left feeling terribly upset and hope that the management takes note of this racist behaviour!!! Should have complained before we left but it was too busy..

A small local restaurant with great service and good food. Excellent value.

We were going to the theatre and this restaurant is opposite. During the week they do a pre theatre offer but we went on a Saturday. I had the salmon, it was perfectly cooked. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. There is also a bar area and the night we went someone was singing. I would recommend you book because it is very popular

Really nice environment, nicely decorated and busy with live music playing. The food was nicely seasoned, especially the sweet potato chips. Only thing I slightly was upset about was the prices for the light plates, which were slightly overpriced.

We're currently trying out various French restaurants, and Café Boheme caught our eye on Google with a strong rating. The food was enjoyable and offered good value for money, but the atmosphere was quite noisy. The service was surprisingly chilly, especially from a typically warm Latino server, who seemed reluctant, even informing us upfront that we had only an hour to dine. On the plus side, the service was efficient.

Lovely little place, live music, great drinks and great prices. It’s very rare to find such a great french restaurant with reasonable prices in London. The French onion soup and beef bourguignon were amazing. My partner had the mussels, which unfortunately had a lot of sand in them, however, we will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. I definitely recommend getting the beef bourguignon.

I had previously left a 1 star review due to an incident that happened a month ago. However, Cafe Boheme have without doubt redeemed themselves with their lovely service and warm hospitality, plus tasty food. I revisited after Simone kindly asked me to come back to get the true experience and I am now sure that the previous incident was a one off. The service I had on this occasion was great and matched what I had experienced previously when coming in for some drinks. The waiting staff were lovely and friendly, and showed the right amount of attentiveness. We had a lovely Italian waiter (sorry I can’t remember his name) but he was such a gentleman. The food was delicious - the highlight of the meal was the creme brûlée with myrtle berries, it was AMAZING! We also had a delicious red wine recommended by the lovely deputy manager. Horrible experience, they add you to the ticket some soft drinks and when you ask for them they reply that they are not charging you for it.. so you CAN’T have it because “you are having shots”, then the guy at the bar laugh at me because my card was not working with contacless, he said to me “You don’t have money”, after I paid using my pin, then on top of that.. , they send another another server to DOUBLE CHARGE ME!!! UNBELIEVABLE, I told them that I have already paid and I needed to show the bank transaction to prove it, NEVER COMING BACK!!!

Fantastic place! We had a nice afternoon coffee. It is a crowded place with a busy and a big city atmosphere. But the waitors are fantastic. Especially Pietro has the perfect overview and is taking care of you any time.

We had assumed Cafe Boheme was a tourist trap, but were proven utterly wrong by its wonderful customer service, tasteful decor and food. Steak et frites is the way to go! Creme brûlée was to die for! Good value for money and secretly part of soho house - who knew!

Cosy french cuisine and great live music. Would definitely recommend booking in advance for dinners.

A lovely and nice place to meet - with very nice and friendly staff.

We went there for a dinner, tried onion soup & mussels. And my boyfriend ordered steak. It was my first time having onion soup so cannot compare (but it was not my cup of tea). Mussels were unfortunately not cleaned well, i think i chew up some sand… the steak was ok, fries tasted good. Also we tried fried or cooked camambert, we really loved it. The service / waiter was really good&fast. Yes the place was noisy because it was crowded & there is no music on the background.but many restaurants nearby is the same when its crowded. We might try brunch, but wont go for dinner again.

Unfortunately, it change a lots from the quality of the food / menu and the atmosphere. I understand why Sunday lunch is not packed as it use to be. It lost all his charme. It is a Shame

Good food. The absolute star performance was by the Waiters. Wish I knew their names, but they were stellar. Only drag was the music…Incredibly loud electric piano, so moved table.

Theatre menu good value. Lovely traditional choice of French dishes. Great atmosphere,with jazz playing artists. Polite friendly Staff. I have had a lunch,and an evening meal here. And will definitely be returning again in the month of October.

I hung out with my friends around 9 PM and picked a random spot to drink. It wasn't too busy and there was a table available outside. I ordered a bottle of rosé, about £30. There's a theatre right across the street, so it got a bit busy whenever a movie let out.

Service was fine but not brilliant. We were left waiting for over 10 minutes before anyone came to serve us. In general the experience was good. Was was nice and the ambiance was good.

A true parisian cafe in the very heart of Soho. Excellent food, service and atmosphere.

Our server was good but definitely overstretched and therefore forgetful. We waited for desert menus for a very long time and in the end asked for the bill and left.

I met my husband for the first time here 13 years ago & couldn't be more in love with him or the establishment. Perched on the brassy bar soaking up the chaos & characters of Old Compton Street is my happy place. Tres bon.

Lovely uncomplicated food, nice atmosphere but terrible service. Food came quickly but we asked three times for more water before getting it ourselves from the waiters station and waited 20 minutes for a new bottle of wine, by which point everyone had finished eating and we were ready to leave. Service charge was removed from the bill as requested, but no one bothered to ask why, which seemed like an oversight.

Fantastic restaurant/jazz bar. We had a delicious lunch of French food followed by jazz at 3pm. Would recommend for a lovely relaxed afternoon if good food and music

I've eaten here on many occasions in the past, but our meal this evening was very disappointing. Pity because the atmosphere and staff are great.

Food was lovely, and the resturant itself really nice. Was louder than I expected, so a bit difficult to have a proper conversation but at no fault of anyone in the restaurant. Just the vibe I didnt realise before going. Have to admit service was quite slow and things forgotten, had to prompt a few times before them being brought. Not sure if were understaffed so things were a bit strained. But despite this I would go again. The live music was cool and the whole feel of the place. Decent prices also.

Service took so long I had to leave before my main course arrived, we had been at the restaurant for an hour and a half.

We had a very nice cozy and quiet table in the innermost part – perfect for a chat in the lively and lovely ambiance of the restaurant. Staff was absolutely lovely and didn’t make me feel bad at all either when I told them it’s going to be just two of us instead of three due to the last-minute cancellation of one of my dining partners or when my other dining partner had to leave in a rush shortly after placing our order and I asked the very pleasant waitress if we could cancel his part. You should expect this everywhere – bit you hardly get to be treated like this anywhere! Oh and I loved both my terrine and my salmon. Hope to be able to return with friends again soon!

Nice little French cafe in the heart of Soho. Nothing fancy, classic French cafe food.

Different from most of the other pub cafes around here. Presents on its website and in the gallery to this page as doing some very dinky specialised food. Also on our visit it was obvious that this place attracts an older and rather more smart casual attire than almost anywhere else. There was a certain amount of évident fun at the tables out on the pavement but inside the feel was more that of a low middle ranking sailing club. The brief plates that we had fell below what we’d hoped for but maybe we over egged our expectations.

Fantastic French based cooking that’s difficult to find. In the heart of London SOHO Prepared nicely. French cafe setting was wonderful. Our Italian waiter was a little difficult to understand but a delightful person and very attentive. The most surprising part were the very reasonable prices!! Highly recommend!

Lovely cafe. We stopped for some breakfast and had the latte, cortado, ham & cheese croissant and eggs benedict. Great service and the food came out quickly

Stopped in for lunch to get out of the rain and it turned out to be a perfect lunch spot. Basic French food menu with several nice wines for lunch. It was busy, but the service was really good and our waiter always had us in the corner of his eye to see if we needed anything. Highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxed lunch in London with very satisfying French food.

Good vibe in the cafe but very noisy so difficult to hear each other! I had the French toast with berries which was very nice my partner had a sausage bap but it was very small.

Very loud — my friend and I had to yell at each other other to chat and it wasn’t all that busy — but absolutely great ambiance and lovely staff. Will definitely be back.

I went on a Sunday night and they were incredibly busy. The restaurant is very cute and the food looks great, but it was a very loud environment. I sat for a long time without my order coming out and my server had disappeared. I think he may have gone home and forgot to pass off his tables. I asked another server to inquire about my order and she let me know that it had never been punched in. I understand that it happens but it left me disappointed.

We went after being recommended. We had a 17.30 booking as the four of us were going to the theatre. Everything started so well until we had finished our starter, it then took longer than it should have done to remove our empty plates and we were then left watching other people who had arrived after us being served several courses. We asked about our main courses and we were served a little later. No explanation or apology was offered at the time. We had to rush our main course in order to get to our seats in the theatre. When our bill arrived we mentioned that it was unfortunate we’d had to rush and we were given a slight reduction. If only we’d had more communication during the evening it might not have felt as though we’d been overlooked or ignored.

Café Bohème offers perfect French cuisine, and the service that deserves. Only snag is the noise level. It fits a place like this, but it can become hard to bear at times.

Amazing service with friendly and approachable staff, cocktails are great too- I would recommend their Margarita! Food is also delicious… nothing bad to say, will definitely be visiting again.

Great service and very friendly staff, I would highly recommend their Bloody mary’s and their frozen palomas . Also, I would like the mention Hakans service our waiter who looked after us very well.

Very disappointed Seated badly Service slow & rude Overpriced

We had a lovely meal at Cafe Boheme yesterday afternoon. The service was great; very attentive, polite and professional and the food was excellent. The restaurant itself is very quaint, rustic with a wonderful atmosphere and a live singer which we all enjoyed. It is a great place for people watching if you are at one of the tables next to the windows or can enjoy a coffee outside. Highly recommend.

Average food charity service and very noisy admittedly a busy time of day.

Went for an impromptu breakfast on a Saturday morning. Whilst the breakfast quality was decent, service was very slow on this day and our order wasn’t taken for at least 20 minutes. I don’t know if this was just the area we were seated in, but the atmosphere was quite dark and gloomy 😞

I was really looking forward to bringing my parents here from out of town, sadly the meal and service fell well short of my expectations. Our drinks took well over 25 minutes to come, these weren't complex cocktails it was just a bottle of wine and some beer. By the time they came we had already eaten our starters. Second the steak myself and my partner ordered were dry and chewy and very overcooked and flavourless. I do understand these things can happen and looking at some of the reviews this could be a one off. But sadly my experience was terrible and I would not return or recommend.

Had better had worse to be honest Quite nice inside. It was insanely busy when we arrived so they must be doing something right Our meal was a bit disappointing. Steak was clearly cooked too high so was burnt (not charred) on the outside and a bit blue on the inside. Chips were really nice. They did refund the steak and were polite.

Terribly dry club sandwich which we had to wait a long time for - drinks were much quicker and great though and atmosphere is always buzzing

This bar has quickly become my favorite spot in Soho. The host is always friendly and the management team really knows how to take care of their customers. The vibe is always lively and fun. A must-visit in London!!

Great atmosphere and service. My waiter Enrique helped me pick a wine, and helped me find an outside table. Also had a chat with him about our home countries which was nice and welcoming.

Only recommended! The ratatouille, the bavette and the duck breast were very well prepared and tasted delicious. The service was courteous and our requests were met quickly. The restaurant is also beautifully rustic decorated.
