At 10:10 PM, my friend and I decided to visit Café Boheme, as we had worked at Soho House 15 years ago and wanted to reminisce over a drink while catching up. Upon arrival, we requested an outdoor table, but the waiter initially offered us a table inside. We politely reiterated our preference to sit outside, to which he responded that he would take our order shortly. After 15 minutes, we went back inside to ask for service , he cane out with the menu and informed us that the terrace would be closing soon. His demeanor was unfriendly, and he appeared to have an attitude when taking our drink order. We continued our conversation, expecting our drinks to arrive, but after waiting outside for more than 35 minutes, they never came. As someone who works in the same industry, I was deeply disappointed. This was a special occasion for my friend and me, and the poor service completely ruined the moment. It was, without a doubt, the worst service I have ever experienced. At 10:40 PM, we decided to leave and went to Dean Street Townhouse instead, where we received exceptional service. They allowed us to sit outside until 11 PM and warmly welcomed us inside thereafter. The contrast in hospitality was striking. I would not recommend Café Boheme at all—it no longer upholds the high standards it once did.

Love this place, 22 years ago I worked in Shaftesbury Avenue and used to come to Cafe Boheme after work for dinner and drinks. It was one of our favorite places. We felt transported to France. A little hide away with great food and service. I enjoyed many dinners and some breakfasts after sleeping over in the office after a late night ! Last night I returned for the first time in 15 years for dinner before see MJ in the Prince Edward Theatre opposite with friends old and newer. We had a gorgeous table tucked away in the corner. Great service, delicious food I had the snails and Oysters both were amazing. Fab red wine to go with. It brought back so many happy memories and stories of the old days. But created new memories. Thanks for a wonderful evening, great food and service.

Every visit to Cafe Boheme is a treat! The people who work there are friendly and the food is great! Can’t recommend it enough! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We enjoyed the atmosphere even though it was busy and quite noisy, it’s very dark and I had trouble reading the menu. Menu is limited but my park loin and my wife’s salmon were both tasty. Service was good and the staff were very attentive.

I had a fantastic experience! Lorenzo was incredibly friendly, professional, and went above and beyond in his job. His attention to detail and positive attitude made all the difference. Highly recommend this place, especially thanks to Lorenzo’s excellent service!

My Wife & I had a very nice meal followed by some dancing with the band at the bar. A very enjoyable Saturday afternoon.

Picture this: I was walking by today with a friend finishing to eat a bagel and my friend decided to stop there, sit outside and have some drinks and maybe she would have some food. While she went inside to order us drinks, I sat on one of the last tables outside, suddenly a male waitress comes to me, didn’t even ask if I wanted anything, and simply said “Sorry, but you cannot eat here” , immediately I replied my friend was inside getting us drinks so we would be consuming there, he said “It doesn’t matter, you cannot eat here if the food was not purchased here” I replied again that we I was outside, that my friend was inside consuming and what he expect me to do?, I was half way through my bagel. Which I was eating on my hands and not even using the table for that. He gave me the shoulders, told me I cannot eat and said he would call a manager and also left my table while picking up glasses from other tables while complaining to other customers, “some people don’t respect rules blábláblá” and the other people from the table was like “Chill dude, she is consuming ”, anyway… Then another guy (skinny, blond and without uniform) came saying the same thing and being as rude and unpleasant as the first one, so I just stopped eating, texted my friend to not buy the drinks nor food , because we would not stay there . Bear in mind there were empty tables outside, so is not like I was taking the place of other people that was going to “consume more”. Anyway, result is : You lost a costumer, lost a sale of food and drinks, gain 2 bad reviews, just because you have some very rude staff who has no idea how to analyse a situation that is not worth it, if they let me finish eat my fng bagel in peace,which would clearly not take more than 2 minutes, we would have consumed drinks, more food, and had a pleasant time , maybe done a good review, and everyone would be happy.

Good food, fast efficient service , had the full English, fair value. It was very cloudy outside, the ambient lighting didn't match, needed to be a bit brighter.

I would rate 0 stars if I could. Most rude staff I’ve ever seen and the drinks weren’t good.

Cafe Bohéme is an institution that consistently delivers on food, service and atmosphere. This is a long overdue review but I also wanted to call out Jean last year who was so amazingly accommodating to my birthday party despite the restaurant being so busy. Will definitely keep coming back :)

Went for drinks on a date. When we first walked in, there was live music. We found a table and sat down and enjoyed the music. Cafe Boheme is a lovely place with a great mix of friendly customers. There was a table next to us where they tried to fit five chairs in, but the customers were much more interested in dancing and chatting with us. Quick turnaround because of the pre-theatre crowd so you can always find a table. We only had drinks and the waiters were very attentive. Would definitely go back.

Have been many times food is great and nice ambience but the service was quite bad this time , very slow and unattentive. Spent a lot of time trying to catch someone’s attention, they were clearly understaffed but to make it worse the staff didn’t even seem apologetic about it.

La comida está bien - precio y muy bueno, aunque el servicio puede ser lento cuando el lugar está a plena capacidad - yo recomendaría pedir una botella de vino, ya que esto te mantendrá en marcha mientras esperas la atención del personal! Si no tienes prisa, entonces este es un gran lugar tarde en la noche, especialmente con amigos.

My main course arrived without potatoes, the other guests almost finished their food when the potatoes were brought. After that there was no service, the waiter was no where to be seen. The plates stayed on our table until we asked someone else for help and the dessert menue. Food was good, service poor.

Love this bar, have been coming since I can’t remember. The late night menu always has something on there that you want when you’ve had too many shandies. Staff both behind the bar and front of house always welcoming.

Came across Cafe Boheme by chance, menu looked good and inside looked nice so we chose to eat here. The staff were super friendly and quick to seat our group of 3, drinks came quickly and tasted fantastic - the coffee is especially lovely! We had eggs on toast in various formats and all tasted delicious. The menu had a great range fo breakfast food and drinks from juices to hot drinks and it was hard to choose but every option looked great. Very enjoyable and feel like it was a hidden gem in the midst of many breakfast bars, the menu for other meals looked good also so highly recommend as a place to go. Nearby theatres in the area too so easy choice if you are a theatre goer!

Found this beautiful place by chance whilst visiting London with my 2 daughters. It was a relaxing atmosphere and we were not rushed at all. The food was lovely and the service was friendly. Definitely recommend

What’s happened to the food at cafe Boheme?!? I had French onion soup and chicken liver parfait… the soup was super thick so it became quite sickly after less than half of it and the parfait didn’t taste of anything….it was actually tasteless. It came with some sad looking camaliezed onions…also tasteless! This is so sad because the place is an institution and a great place to hang. They should really care more for the food they are serving.

Unfortunately the menu choice was very limited with many dishes no longer available from the core menu at 8pm. A bit disappointing for a restaurant that’s always busy to not have planned their menu requirements

As always this place is full of atmosphere. The food is always great the staff are brilliant. What’s not to like?! I’ve been going over and over again for many many years and I will continue to do so.

We did not have a great experience here. The mains took over an hour to come (despite asking about it and with very hungry kids) and the food was not very good. The onion soup was decent but the rest was overcooked and overpriced. Our waiter was impossible to flag down and had to ask for our check three times. We had to run to make it in time for our holiday show in the west end.

Service was very poor. Food arrived with no cutlery. Croissant was ordered but we never got it and it was still on the bill. Servers were not nice.

Lovely supper in this restaurant . Great atmosphere and service. Quite a tight squeeze between tables and nowhere to hang your coat but food and service were great.

Nuestra mesera no podía preocuparse menos por nosotros mientras pasaba una y otra vez. La comida era promedio, los platos principales se dejaron vacíos en las mesas cuando firmamos la factura y nos fuimos a las 7. 10 , habiéndose sentado a las 5 . 30 ... ... Automático 13 . 5 % propina añadida, gracias por la broma... no estoy pagando por nada... ... Suficientemente agradable bar, recomendaría para una bebida solamente.

Great location, lovely festive atmosphere. A very busy afternoon so although the waiting staff were lovely- it was very slow. The bar was full of used glasses, so maybe not enough staff working today. I’m sure on a less busy day it would be fab!

My go to brasserie in the West End. Great service & a lovely atmosphere as always. We shared a charcuterie board followed by tuna niçoise & bavette, rounding out with the cheese plate between us. Delicious & good value.

Food was lovely although limited. A number of items on menu were not available. But staff kindly compensated for this. Service was great and super friendly. The only down side was the music. It was soo loud could not hear any of the conversation at the table. We ended up shouting to each other. Based on this would not go again despite the nice food and great service

Super buzzy place. Location, Old Compton St, excellent, staff, superb, food and drink choices and execution excellent for a bistro. Very loud crowd, depends what you want. Pretty good value. Book.

Disappointing. We were anticipating enjoying a nice breakfast and instead it was rubbish. We were seated in the non descript front room and provided a be-grudged level of service which I suspect is reserved for walk-ins. The coffee was well made but the food from the breakfast menu was mediocre. Most frustrating, in retrospect, was despite telling the barrista upon entry and a server (who seemed put off and asked us if we actually arrived on time) at the end that we had a reservation we were contacted by Open Table as a no show (which is why we made a point of telling the server, Alas).

Dinner omelette was very disappointing. Avocado green salad was great. Bread warm and fresh. Very very noisy.

I arrived at 2:45pm for my 3pm reservation. I asked for a table close to the live music. I asked if we could add ONE more person. Instead of helping the manager yelled at me, pointed his finger at my chest and even when my husband intervened denied our table and canceled our reservation. DISGUSTING. Never coming back! What a disappointment and rude behaviour from the manager (for reference a man wearing glasses)

Lovely little place food was very nice and staff were very accommodating

The food was very nice and fairly priced for Central London. Very friendly service. My only reason for the three stars is the noise levels, unbearable. People shouting, impossible to have a conversation. It is a shame, I would go back but the noise is way too stressful.

Have lived in London for more than 30 years but haven’t been out in Soho for ages. Went to Cafe Boheme on Saturday night and was questioning whether it was a good idea as we pushed through the tourists, touts and rickshaw crooks. Happy to say that it definitely was.A buzzing atmosphere, lovely staff, and very reasonable prices for good unfussy French food. Wine not overpriced either. Absolutely 5 stars for us.

Good food but the restaurant was too dark. Lets say it was a cozy place. Good service.

Service was really slow. There was no burger available in the day time which seems odd especially as it’s on the menu on the website. Club sandwich had three small pieces of chicken and was not a club sandwich - only one layer, untoasted bread. There was no toilet paper in the ladies toilet and no one seemed concerned when I mentioned this.

Mediocre full English breakfast, stressed staff.

Great atmosphere, busy, noisy and fun. Right opposite the theatre where we were going so really convenient. Staff were friendly and accommodating, food was very good and not too expensive considering the area. Only downside was quite a wait for our table to be ready as it was so busy. Service was quite slow after that. Not the place to go if your time is limited but a very enjoyable time.

Pre theatre menu is fantastic value and the food and wine were delicious as always. Service attentive and friendly and the early evening live music just beautiful

This was a cute Parisian style cafe pub. The food was amazing. Tasted very delicious. The service was really slow but the staff were nice. The ambiance was nice.

Our food was mostly good, but the mussels were disappointing. Service was a bit slow, but overall we had a good evening.

Good food and excellent service We visited just before 5 p.m. on a Saturday, in between the two Harry Potter plays. At this time, the crowds and noise levels were overwhelming. So we were delighted to find that the service was highly organised and professional, our orders were taken and food delivered promptly. The brunch menu stops at 5 so we were able to order from both. Food is good value, I especially recommend the crème brûlée: The 13.5 service charge was less welcome.

RUDE and RACIST STAFF!!! We stopped by to have a drink yesterday and the waiter serving us outside (a young Italian lad?) was the rudest and frankly came across racist to us! From the minute we sat down, he ignored us most of the time when we tried to call him to order, and acted really grumpy when he did stop by. we couldn't think of any reason why he would behave like this except of our race, because we saw he was nice to other customers on either side of us! I've been coming to Cafe Boheme for years, and by far, this was the worst experience. We left feeling terribly upset and hope that the management takes note of this racist behaviour!!! Should have complained before we left but it was too busy..

We were going to the theatre and this restaurant is opposite. During the week they do a pre theatre offer but we went on a Saturday. I had the salmon, it was perfectly cooked. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. There is also a bar area and the night we went someone was singing. I would recommend you book because it is very popular
