French restaurant with European twists. Excellent food even if the portions are not generous. In comparison with the English offer they are superlative

My friend and I quite often choose Cote for lunch when we go to London for the theatre. This is because they have a good gluten free menu and seem to take care to avoid cross contamination. The prices are reasonable and the food is tasty. Côte Soho did not disappoint and the service was efficient and friendly.

Food was tasty but seemed pre-prepared and reheated... a bit dry (tried the boef bourgingon and duck). Had better food experience in sister Cote restaurants . Not bad, but not great either.

Quick Sunday lunch. Pretty good.

Always quality food and drink service exceptional this time

Considering the staff were run off their feet.. everything took twice as long as it should. The food was of good quality and tasty and the servicing staff were doing their best..

This restaurant is located in the middle of Soho, expect plenty of people. Inside of it looks good, cozy and you feel welcome. Three waiters worked our table, two of them were neutral and calm. The third one was the most stressful and rude I had seen in London. I understand you have no patience, but you can't let your emotions take over. This is part of my review. Finally the food, I had the sirloin which was underseasoned and too rare. The beef bourginion was pretty good. You can find better restaurants for the same price and experience.

Welcoming and warm service but also knowledgable about the menu and wine. Theo and Pete especially! We had a great family time and the food was good.

We went in as a walk in at half past 6 on a Saturday when soho was very busy, we were sat down straight away by the host who was a very helpful and polite man. We were served by Pete who was absolutely amazing. He was really chatty and knowledgeable and really made our evening! The food was also great, we got calamari and the côte de boeuf to share with greens as the side.

Menu is not updated. Tarte tatin was not in the menu. Paris breast was not fresh

Very good restaurant, very friendly waiters and good value for money

I love this restaurant chain, I often go there with my family and friends, but the service that was on Friday at the restaurant in Soho leaves much to be desired. Sluggish staff and a long wait, although the seating was not full. The restaurant manager served me partly. I was celebrating a birthday, a friend gave me flowers, I asked to bring water for them myself, because no one offered. The waiter brought water with ice. I asked to change it, he brought a bucket without water. And only on the third time he brought regular water. I also suspect that the bill indicated the wrong number of glasses of wine, more than necessary, but, unfortunately, this cannot be proven because no one offered me a receipt after payment.

Syed and the whole team were great

Excellent place for dinner. The dishes on the menu are wonderful and so are the drinks. The atmosphere is very good. 100% recommended.

The teams were very accommodating for a large group and very friendly.

I visited Cote in Soho a few days ago,my boyfriend wanted us to come for a few drinks. We had some bubbly and the house white wine,which were really lovely and good value for money. The staff were attentive and helpful, particularly Laura who was amazing! Said one of the waiters,very sweet and looked after us. Next time we'll definitely try some of the dishes. Atmosphere was nice, not too busy and you could hear yourself speaking.

We were on our way to the theatre and our train was cancelled so we were running a bit late but our server made sure we got everything in time. All the staff were lovely. I managed to leave my handbag and when I ran back 5 minutes later they'd already put it away safely awaiting my return. We really did have a lovely meal and time.

The place is nice and quiet. The manager of this branch is a wonderful and elegant person in dealing. I went to try the cream caramel and it turned out really delicious. I returned it a second time because of the cream caramel.

Would not recommend this branch. Booked a dinner reservation for my mum’s birthday before a theatre show and the service team took 90 minutes to bring out 2 courses. One drink arrived after 20 minutes and having to remind our server and starter plates were cleared over 20 minutes after finishing. The tables around us received similar disappointing service, with one advising they’ll never visit again and my family and I agree. In all, slow service, inattentive service team, food was lukewarm or incorrect and made our family late for our theatre show.

My friend and I have been Cote regulars for years, but never have much luck with this branch. Booked 5pm table before a film screening. Baking hot day, looking forward to sitting in a cool air con restaurant. Arrived and no air con, place was baking hot. I asked our lovely waiter(the only reason I gave any stars) if it could be turned on. I had to ask the Manager, possibly the most ungracious, rude man it's been my misfortune to meet. He said he would, but had to make drinks so we would have to wait, surely you turn on a switch? How long does that take? 30 mins later no air con. I asked again, he said patronisingly that it took a while to work.It doesn't.It takes minutes. Our main arrived after asking again for it, 50 mins after our starter and we had 10 minutes before our film started so gulped it down. Both meals had clearly been forgotten and left on the pass as my chicken was so dry it crumbled. 3rd time in this branch, never again. Avoid.

I go to Côte Brasserie a lot with my family as it is one of our favourite resturants with great atmosphere, food and service. However, today we attended with a family member we hadn’t seen in a long time and were not greeted with the same, usual comfort and service. We had pre booked for 12:30 and ordered shortly after arriving but our food took an hour to come to the table which was unusual as the Resturant was very quiet with only 2 other tables. The food itself was 10/10 but let down by the long wait for our food, (especially it being 2 salads and a chicken and chips).

Food was brilliant. A large gluten free menu aswell, with staff who served fantastically. Service and speed was top level, and couldn't recommend any higher. Only a slight delay for the desserts but apart from that AMAZING 🤩. Would definitely recommend the Sirloin Steak. Absolutely brilliant!!!

Fabulous service from a very friendly waitress. Quiet lunchtime...just a couple of tables occupied.

A regular visitor to this restaurant speaks for itself. However, my last visit two days ago was rather disappointing as the service was so slow. The standard of the food was good, but the waiting times for each course were very disappointing. The waitress acknowledged the long delay and offered us a reduction in the bill. Please don't spoil your standards by exceedingly long waiting times.

We loved it here. Our family wanted to avoid going to the same place twice while visiting London, but we had to go back to this amazing place for breakfast.

Went for dinner on a summer Saturday - service was excellent, knowledgeable and friendly, and the food was delicious and clearly made with care. I had the trout, which was well-cooked and used a genuinely interesting combination of flavours; my friend had the poulet rôti along with some truffled fries, which was buttery and flavourful. Madeleines for dessert were an excellent conclusion to the meal. If I'm in the neighbourhood again I can't imagine a better reasonably-priced dinner.

Absolutely amazing place, couldn’t be more happier, highly recommend. Food was incredible & service was fast and staff were great! Pete was a great help, and made our night hassle-free & even recommended and gave advice on cocktails that would best suit our needs. Definitely the best place in London to come to, an amazing experience & will definitely come again.

I went with my gf to make use of a gift voucher. As such we splashed out a little...the medium-well done steak was pretty average/fresh for me, even with the steal sauce. I had an Espresso Martini ...maybe I wasn't properly in the mood for it..but it tasted like a bitter coffee 😕... My gf seemed to enjoy the steak that we shared

Lovely helpful staff.Was not in main room so a bit lacking in atmosphere. Toilets downstairs so inconvenient for a 79 year old.

I was super hungry so I thought I would go to Cote's for lunch I ordered a One minute steak with fries. When it arrived I thought I had ordered a starter by mistake but no. The portion control in this particular branch was nothing short than laughable. The steak was small and very thin and the portion of fries about the same as a small portion of McDonald's chips. Taste wise very good and quality of the food very good but sadly portion wise a letdown. The wine was excellent but not enough to take me back to eat.

Cute place but super slow service. My chicken portion was very small and i left hungry.

Had vegan burger as my pre-theatre meal and it was just perfect. Also, highly impressed by the service quality!

Manager James was very helpful with dealing with an issue. We would definitely come back here again.

Beer was warm and Bloody Mary was terrible I actually asked for Tabasco at the table to give it some kick. We then waited. At this point!!! After receiving our drinks we still weren't offered any water. No cutlery on the table no napkins. Eventually after watching the staff run around but not actually doing anything - seeing phones in back pockets and staff carrying handfuls of cutlery in their hands on not on a tray and yet again another table receiving their food before us. We got up and walked out. Talking to who l think was the manager at the door. He seemed totally uninterested and didn't care. We explained that we had waited for so long and watched another table sit and order and eat. We both said we used to work here and we were so sad to see how the standards have fallen. He didn't seem apologetic or even tried to convince us to stay and push our food. Just so so so sad. We definitely will not be coming back to this cote ever again and would not recommend it. We might try another one one day to see if the service is uniformed. But I really hope not!!!! This needs to be actioned upon. This was just terrible service from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. Not happy at all!!!

Delicious French onion soup and tender sirloin. The frites were also perfectly crisp and seasoned well. Great service, but the lighting was a bit dim.

One of our favourite Cote branches we had an enjoyable Saturday dinner here. Service is friendly and relaxed and the there was a good atmosphere. We had 2 courses each, the standouts were a crab starter and the seafood stew. Food is always consistent and whilst it is not going to wow though what it does it does well. We had a couple of glasses of champagne and a decent Cote du Rhone and finished with 2 coffees and a Calvados. The damage for 2 including service £125. For a decent meal you will be hard pressed to find somewhere offering similar good value in Soho.

I think the word in French is just 'non'.

Superb - I told serving staff I was in no rush and they allowed me to be leisurely. One niggle not in your control - there was a cellar delivery and it was like listening to pile driving for about 20 minutes.

Amazing place to eat while in Soho. We started with Gluten free salad with croutons & French onion soup both followed by Duck a l’orange, all beautiful. Good friendly and professional service from the minute we arrived, slightly noisy drinks delivery being bumped down the restaurant stairs but generally really good!

Another amazing experience in the heart of London unmissable food and exceptional service from Syed and the entire team at Cote Wardour Street Soho. I have been coming for years to Cote but it is time I leave a Review! Also the food was delicious the Fish parimeter and fried salmon and Syed recommmemded the perfect white wine to accompany it 👌 we are coming back again for brunch and next time we are bringing friends 🥂

Although we know cote we hadn’t had this menu for awhile (we normally eat on the price fix version because we’re cheapskates) we were in London on a demonstration March so wanted somewhere with good food to rest in Soho afterwards. Pete was fantastic, polite, attentive, respectful and knowledgeable.

Had a wonderful fixed price 2 course meal. My friend chose a starter & main meal and I chose main meal and dessert. The restaurant didn't mind at all that we shared the starter and dessert. I had the chicken with the mushroom, Tarragon & garlic sauce as my main. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was just amazing.

I popped in alone for a birthday breakfast treat and experienced excellent service from Syed. Sparked up a conversation with another solo diner and it was a memorable breakfast.

A terrific meal for the six of us!!

Today is Sunday. We waited 10 min for them to take order. We had ordered French onion soup and ratatouille, and it 20 mins passed, food has not come. Service is slow can’t imagine if it has few more customers

I always enjoy dining experiences at Côte Brasserie on various locations. The one in Soho where I dined last 28th of May 2024 was no exception. The foods were absolutely delicious, services were excellent, and the place was small but had this lovely homey ambiance. Wish I took photos of the meals that I had. Definitely will go again every time I visit London. One negative aspect: the restaurant didn’t serve takeaways.

I had a lovely two course dinner at this restaurant on the Gluten free menu. Staff were attentive from the start and very conscious and aware of allergies. There was so much selection to choose from and my cheese souffle starter and pork belly main were delicious!!!

They have the best French onion soup in town Also they served a very nice crème caramel

A steak restaurant you can trust in London. This time I ordered pork belly and ratatouille. I recommend pork belly. Ratatouille may be difficult for those who don't like goats' cheese. I also highly recommend the onion soup. The team staff were excellent, especially the gentleman who explained the attractive points of each menu.

Here for lunch. Menu was good, excellent choices.

I have visited Cote at Hays Galleria London Bridge before and visiting here was as especial. Delicious food, nice atmosphere and excellent service. We had a lovely time and drinks were offered free to us to celebrate my friends Bday.

The restaurant very good. Our daughter suffers from celiac disease and at this restaurant she was able to eat without worrying. The cuisine is tasty and varied. The staff is very friendly! Thanks!

I visited as part of my bachelorette night and had such a lovely welcome. On discovering it was my hen do, the restaurant gave us a bottle of champagne, which was such a lovely touch. I have a few unusual allergies and am sensitive to gluten but have never had a problem at a Côte. It was no different at this chain. The staff were beyond attentive, especially a guy called Adrian who double checked my allergies at each course to ensure the chef gave me nothing I couldn’t have. Two of my friends also can’t have gluten, one of which can’t have dairy either, and they both also loved how many choices they had and the food they chose. It’s so nice to have a meal out where you don’t feel excluded due to your dietary restrictions, but they staff really helped make the night with their positive attitude and attentiveness.

Boring welcome, lengthy time to be greeted after seating. Bartender just learning how to make the cocktails and food lacked any quality

A really strange experience - an affordable bar with perfect lighting, lovely decor and really knowledgeable and fun staff, plus great value and quality bottles of wine in the heart of London! What's going on?! Spent 3 hours there sampling different bottles with some friends, and had a wonderful time.

Food: Food was better than expected for the price. Good variety of wine selection. Service: The gentlemen who served us was great Atmosphere: We were there on a really busy day, but the place has a good atmosphere if you sit at a nice place.

Good food for before the theatre. Decent options for pescatarian couple!

The food at Cote can be hit and miss. I wouldn't say it's a very good place to try French cuisine but it definetely has star items in the menu. While the french onion soup wasn't good, the moules frites is a reason alone to go back. Again, while the apple tarte tatin wasn't special, creme brule definetely left its mark. Overall, enjoyable enough experience to visit again and try different menu items.

Great place, good service and good food

I was coming for the creme caramel, but unfortunately it was not available, but I tried the chocolate soufflé and creme bouillon, which was delicious.

Visited this restaurant on many occasions. Part of the Cote Brasserie chain and has a varied and well priced french based menu. Service is top notch and I highly recommend this restaurant

Decent food (poulet breton), service and atmosphere. However, our group of 5 was made to sit in a table that is really only comfortable for 3. And this happened despite the fact that the restaurant was mostly empty. I'm taking off one star for this.
