Good food totally spoilt by dreadful service Staff could not have been less pleasant if they had tried Such a shame the front of house staff were so poor compared to the kitchen staff who produced good food

I had the worst experience by the waiter while getting my order he literally said ( you dont understand) which is an insult and means that the customer is stupid what kind of places recruit such a stuff that are so rude with customers even the table beside us listened to the conversation and where so upset

My friends and I have just returned from the most fantastic early evening birthday dinner at Cote! As always, the service, the food and the atmosphere were amazing but what made our experience so special was Monica! Jakob our waiter was also great but Monica was so accommodating and attentive, especially considering it was one of the busiest days of the year before Christmas. Cote has consistently great staff in my opinion but some of them go over and beyond and are such an asset to the brand.

Really good value and delicious food. A fantastic venue for a get together. Enjoyed even more as affordable and reasonable. Rather than inflated prices. Cote offers a great amostphere.

I recently enjoyed a family meal at Cote with my peanut allergic son. The allergy protocols were the best I’ve ever encountered, his food was clearly marked with a little coloured flag to highlight his allergy and was brought to the table separately from the other meals. The food was very tasty, the children’s menu extremely good value and the service was excellent. We will definitely return.

Organised a Christmas meal for over 40 people on a Saturday night. The food and service were both excellent and the evening went extremely well with a lot of happy guests.

I ordered the confit pork belly. It was almost impossible to cut the "crackling " and certainly impossible to eat it. I had to scrape the neat off from the underside. When I raised this with waiter, I was told that it is not intended that one should eat the "crackling". Is pork crackling now in the same category as bones? A disappointment in an otherwise pleasant lunch experience.

Very unimpressed with my visit overall this time, relative to previous visits. Having ordered the ‘house champagne’ the waitress brought us a £77 bottle, claiming that this WAS the house champagne. I notice on ‘Côte at home’ that there still is a ‘house champagne’ at around £25 a bottle (as there always had been in the restaurants), so why has this been removed from the restaurant menu, and why is an expensive champagne now referred to as a ‘house champagne’ when even on the menu there was a £48 alternative. This is a very cynical approach to squeezing out of a regular customer the maximum possible profit. Also, generally, the wine list was much degraded, their having dropped for instance an excellent Saint Emilion Grand Cru for I recall around £42. The food menu too is seemingly much reduced. I should add that my guests too - again regulars - were unimpressed. I should also add that the waitress - very polite and well meaning - was Ill-prepared for waiting at table, needing help in uncorking our wine, and seeming nonplussed with our orders. We are hardly penny-pinchers, paying for the three of our lunches a total of around £300, but I do object being taken for a ‘soft touch’.

Excellent chain - the Sloane Square one is the branch with the best ambience

I guess I had an unlucky draw, I come here often with no issues with service or food because I usually have minimal conversations with staff. Today however was another issue, as I sat at one of the tables outside I was wondering where one of the chairs went. This was not explained by the staff member and I asked if he could bring a chair from inside. Apparently it’s impossible. Anyways the manager and staff aren’t helpful and very rude compared to other branches.

We treated ourselves to steak at Cote. My wife had a lovely filet steak and I had the rib-eye. Both were cooked to perfection, tasty and delicious but why no watercress! When did Cote break from the traditional watercress accompaniment which I think is essential for steak? So disappointed Nice Cremant and Malbec and good service

I've been a fan of Côte for a while as it's reliable, decent food - but what I noticed this time is that the service has really improved dramatically in this particular venue: it seems to be a new team of waiters who were super attentive. The service wasn't poor before but you'd get less of a sense they were looking after everything and simple things are no problem (like requesting chocolate sauce with ice cream which previously would be hit and miss as to whether that particular person would allow it, even though they clearly have it available). The only downside of the more attentive waiters is that they do relentlessly try to up-sell you on things - I'm of the opinion that if I had wanted something I would have asked for it!

Went to Cote for the first time and enjoyed a meal with a friend of 25 years. Food was good. Prices were about average for the Sloane Square area. Service was very good.

Unimpressive food and service. Cheese souffle seriously disappointing. It tasted like nothing. It hadn't Cheese flavour. Onion soup was average and the butternut squash tarte tatin was not well seasoned. We were sat in a rubbish corner table too. Wouldn't go back.

La comida era muy promedio pero para mi discutido ver al jefe de camareros usando la computadora detrás de la barra estaba recogiendo su nariz para luego ir a tomar las comidas fuera sin pensar en lavarse la mano luego minutos después el tierno bar secándose la nariz en su servicio de delantal era muy pobre después de tener nuestro entrante luego comenzar a comer nuestro plato principal tuve que pedir que el vino llegara a la mesa. Muy pobre para lo que debería haber sido una buena comida, pero estaba muy por debajo de mis expectativas

My friend and I decided to have a light dinner at this branch. We both ordered the Salmon dish which was beautifully presented as well as perfectly cooked. Service was great and ambience relaxed. Will definitely come again.

Booked a table online and was extremely easy to navigate the website. We got a table close to the back of the restaurant which was great because it was very quiet and nice! The food was amazing which is the same theme across all the restaurants, whether it is central London or south! Recommended for any occasion as they are super accommodating!

Best Crème Caramel in London 👍🏼

Busy even on a Monday night, so worth booking in advance. The food is a modern French style (which seems to include garlic in everything.) They also have a set menu which is good value Expect to pay £40 per head including wine.

Busy pre theatre/after work so the staff are having to deal with a high turnover, which they do well. Standard Cote menu which is pleasant, though not exciting.

The food, the service and the ambience were all amazing. Cote never fails with anything! We had the chicken with mushroom and cream and fries and the fish with capers and mash potato from the fixed price memu for mains, they were both absolutely delicious. We then had rhe crepe with banana and the cheese platter for desserts and they were also amazing. Very beautiful atmosphere and very good value.

Very busy every table taken, when we first arrived but at 7.00 a mass exodus to the theatre left us in a quieter restaurant with many free tables. The food was very good, and a reasonable cost.

Atmosphere lacking compared to other Cotes I have been to ( Bristol / York ). Chose to go here specifically for the fish pie as I know it's good. I am not sure if it's the use of LED lighting strips or something like the use of bright blue in the decor but overall the light was not the usual warmth ambience that other Cotes have. I am very sensitive to this but ok. Service was a little erratic with either a lot of attention then none at all and having to ask for the bill twice and get up to pay at the till. The price for beers is crazy ( 6.45 for a small gFree one ) which makes the bill seem very high. Fish parmentier and the scallops are delicious however.

Don’t think about going in if other places are full. It’s empty for a reason. My coffee arrived cold and the food was lukewarm with cold bits. Service was fast and friendly but two tables complained while I was there. Stick to your usual and go for a walk until a table is free!

The BEST Creme Brulee I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a few!!) meal in general was good. Service was friendly and efficient 👍🏼👍🏼

Excellent restaurant attached to the Sloane Square Hotel. Breakfast was excellent - smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was amazing as was the Cote full breakfast. Booked a table for 11 of us to celebrate a graduation. As we didn’t know timings of the end of the ceremony, we had two hours to try and find somewhere to sit in the torrential rain until our table was ready. So went into Cote and asked if the booking could be bought forward. They very kindly allowed us to eat nearly two hours earlier which was brilliant. All 11 people enjoyed their food and the staff were excellent and very attentive all evening. Would definitely use Cote again - thank you.

Côte in Sloane Square brings back memories of Café Rouge from its heyday. The prices are reasonable, and the food is tasty, leaving little to complain about. We opted for a set meal before a performance, which included a vegetable selection and olives to start. For the starter, I chose the calamari, while my dad went for the chicken liver parfait. The calamari was delicious with large pieces, though there were only about four, so it was gone quickly. The chicken liver parfait was quite nice, and I sampled a bit of it. For the main course, we both chose the steak. It was well-seasoned and cooked to perfection, though the meat was slightly gristly. However, it was still mostly meat and enjoyable. For dessert, we had the cheeseboard and crème brûlée, both of which were lovely. Côte, please consider opening a branch in Sutton, London!

The food was delicious. We hadn't been to a Cote for a long time (years!) and we were not disappointed with the food! A shame no more cod goujons but other options were tasty. Tried mushroom bourguigon for first time and it was very tasty. Chicken still very good. Salmon very good too. Fries were great as usual and the french beans were fine. Complimentary kir royales as we were seeing a gig at Cadogan hall. Decor was light and airy. Noise level was very high though. Very glad we had a corner at the back otherwise we would have been shouting to hear each other! Would request this seating next visit. Staff efficient and welcoming on arrival.

Côte, Sloane Square is in a great location. Visited with a friend for lunch before visiting the Physic Garden. Had the fixed menu of Steak Frites and cheese board. Food was lovely and the unoaked Bordeaux (Merlot) I would highly recommend. Jakob served us and he was warm, welcoming and very attentive. His customer service was perfect. He made our visit feel special. Please pass on my thanks and appreciation to Jakob.

Breakfast best value in Sloane Square Obliging team look after you well and menu choice excellent for an affordable and good quality relatively spacious setting. May not have the cachet of some neighbours but won’t let you down

This is such a great restaurant. Côte value and brilliant service. Update: I had a small birthday lunch here today and it was absolutely wonderful. This place is the choice of the discerning diner. Don't be deceived that this is a chain. It's a top quality restaurant with excellent staff, excellent service and a really lovely place to have a birthday!!!

Attended with a friend for our annual meet up. Came to Cote as we have been here before. (at another branch) We were shown to our table by a very lovely and attentive reception lady, and looked after by a very attentive chap called Milan who took our order. Our visit when very smoothly and will be happy to come back again. Top marks 👌

This is my first visit to Kut. The employee, Heelan, was welcoming and helpful. I wanted to order a royal caramel cream, and she explained to me that it contains an alcohol content. Cappuccino 10/6 Caramel cream 10/10 Chocolate fondue 10/10 I will definitely visit again

This was my first visit to this venue. The staff were welcoming and attentive and the food was great. It was my Mum's birthday so they brought her dessert whilst singing Happy Birthday which was lovely. There is limited outdoor seating directly outside the restaurant and a separate outdoor pop-up restaurant in the middle of Sloane Square (which I presume is just for the summer months).

Always a good bet as the food is reliably and consistently good. Restaurants are well presented and never too crowded so the atmosphere is great for a dinner with family or friends.

Menu actually pretty good. Food was average. Potatoes in my dish weren’t cooked properly and very limited actual fish in the dish. Waiter was a bit surly. The place resembles a crèche. Kids running round everywhere and toys on the floor. Why is it parents can’t go for lunch with their kids like they do in France:Italy and just control their offspring? You don’t see European kids running around being grim. Shame as the place could be really good.

There are several chairs that have sharp bits that kept scratching my elbow. Pretty annoying.

1- table was sticky and not clean 2 - waiter’s are not trained and disorganized 3- one water sneezed without covering his mouth 3- two waiter ladies was chewing gum with mouth open 3- touching or picking your nose is disgusting and i saw at least 2 waiters do that 🤢 4- Food is good but i’m not coming back or recommend this restaurant to anyone

The best host in the deep place

We went as a family (larger group) and the staff were very caring and ensuring 'all was as expected'. Foodwise - average I would say as in what to expect. We had pre-dinner drinks at the square where Cote had outdoor service - please note that when ordering a G&T - you select and buy individually, ie gin, tonic and on top a massive 'Service charge' which I never understood is added to the bill....equalling a somewhat 'expensive G&T....

Under the belt service with very below if not terrible service. Staff are disorganised and not trained properly. The management doesn’t seem to care and it takes forever to even order a coffee. Get your game together!

We love this particular branch of Cote restaurants for the quality of food and beautiful interior and atmosphere. It’s never too formal and keeps the feel of a French brasserie in the heart of Sloane Square.

Bad experience wouldn’t come back , one of staff members welcomed us with very aggressive tone , and didn’t give us our table and told us to go to the one across the street which only served a couple of desserts and no coffee.

The guy at the front desk was so rude and didn’t talk to me in respect as everyone should and he was overall very unkind and didn’t have respect for me and everyone I was with. ( the blonde guy) .

Not a great experience. Although Cote is generally good this specific food experience was quite bad. I had the 2 course meal starting with the Charcuterie board which turned out to be some messily arranged slices of aged ham, a small carrot, some pickle slices and two pieces of toasted bread. It looked a bit ridiculous and as if a toddler had put it together. There was no cheese or butter or any sort of spread or dip. My bad for ordering it in the first place. Second course was the sirloin steak which again looked like there was zero effort on plating. The steak was well under seasoned and just tasted burnt. Overall a bad experience with the food. The staff however was nice and the service was good.

Had a lovely brunch with my family at this location of Cote. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Very elegant and tasteful place to enjoy a great brunch on a Sunday!..

Caesar and croissants were good, aperol could be better

The staff here were great and worked efficiently as a team; the woman on the door was very attentive which was so appreciated. Dom served us and treated my 4yo like an adult, which made it super special for him! It’s genuinely nice to have a meal where children are welcomed, a good bet for a nice meal and great service.

We are regular visitors to a number excellent Cote in restaurants in and around London . This was our first visit to the Sloane Square Cote. Great to see the consistent high standards here as well. An extremely pleasant and well appointed restaurant. Usual excellent food and service.

Lovely place to enjoy lunch in the heart of Sloane Square, Chelsea. It’s very close to the tube and a great place to enjoy brunch or lunch or a dinner date. Good set menus and excellent service.

First time at this restaurant. Food was great value and tasty. Onion soup was a treat. From a seating point of view it’s an odd shape and feels a bit claustrophobic toward the back. Staff were attentive and efficient. Would be happy to recommend and return

Food was ok. I had steak with frites, nothing exciting. My friend got burger, he said he was ok and he said they have better burger in the U.S. The service was super slow. I had to call the waiter to order food. We waited, the food wasn’t coming, so I stopped the same waiter again and I asked him to check. He came back and said the food was on the way. We have waited 47 MINUTES for a steak and a burger. £62. The temperature of the room was way too hot! We were sweating. I won’t go back. Sorry.

I am not a fan of restaurant chains. This is a better one, but I have just had a very good experience. Nice welcome, good food if not a bit formulaic but I must say our waiter (Deep) was really efficient and pleasant. Thanks.
