The best restaurants serving Fast food food in York Yorkshire and The Humber

I always leave a star on a chippy review as I have a favourite that hasn't been topped. This one was very good, though, and if I lived closer, it would be a regular takeaway chippy stop. The owner couldn't be more polite and enthusiastic, and the prices are spot on, especially with costs going up everywhere. My price reflects fish and chips, gravy, and a can of D&B. Will be back, I'm sure.

I visited with my mum and the food was Absolutely delicious I had the cheese and jalapeño bagel with cream cheese, rocket, salmon and avocado superb and the premises are lovely remember to take an ugly mug with you in exchange for a coffee

A really nice surprise to find this fish and chip shop in a layby off the a19 near Escrick on the way home from work. Very nice welcoming couple. Chatted to everyone. They take your order on arrival. Sausage and chips for me. Excellent. I will be definitely coming back when I am in the area again next month. Ample parking. Disabled access and toilets.

The food is awesome, and the staff is very kind, especially Avtar Singh and Harry and Tanuj Bhullar. I would highly recommend this fish and chips.

Great fried chicken & kebabs, cooked as requested, good delivery times & friendly drivers. Desserts good too. Back on form - Cheers.

Quick stop at Greggs in York. Had a sausage roll, and it was fresh and tasty as always. Staff were friendly, and service was fast. Perfect for a quick bite on the go!

I wouldn't advise ordering any dish with the lamb shish kebab. I've had a few recently and the lamb is as tough as old boots, inedible, all sinew and veins. On a plus side the donner meat is excellent, the pizzas really good too, the lamb shish is best avoided though.

Horrendous service, we were missing items on our order when it finally got to us. Their driver dropped it off at the wrong address and only after we called was a new order made and delivered it took over an hour after the original scheduled time. The man who answers the phone is not helpful at all, I’ve ordered from Efe’s many times before and I did love them but after this experience I will never order again I’m disgusted.

Popped in for a burger, as not had one since the fire last year. Great service from.the very friendly assistant. food very good and tasty. Will be back. 👍
