I visited with my mum and the food was Absolutely delicious I had the cheese and jalapeño bagel with cream cheese, rocket, salmon and avocado superb and the premises are lovely remember to take an ugly mug with you in exchange for a coffee

A bit on the pricey side but lovely overall. £1.50 coffee worth exactly that - £1.50. Great tasting bagels though and excellent service from the staff!

The staff here are lovely and the Bagels are very good. Quite a range to choose from and I always struggle as they all seem so good. I chose one with advocado and other stuff and it was really nice. Toilets are upstairs, where there is addittional seating. Loved the ugly mug rack.

Best frappe I have ever had and the atmosphere was calm and homey. Great place to study and it’s very aesthetically pleasing

Filling inexpensive quick bite to eat, central location, great customer service from a dark haired lady with glasses (scouse?) who chatted to me and made me feel welcome and included. Would be a daily work lunch spot if closer but anyone within walking distance should give it a try!

This is a great place for a quick, inexpensive lunch. We had two filled bagels, with tea in comfortable surroundings. Ideal.

Visited for lunch yesterday. Had the Mexican chicken bagel. Service with a smile. Claire & Sarah were fantastic with myself and all other customers! First time in Bagel Nash in general and will certainly be back!

Stopped here whilst in York today and was a really cool place and really friendly staff. The chicken bagel was delicious. Really good prices too. ☺️

very friendly welcome. Was greeted as we walked through the door and bid farewell as we left. two floors of seating areas and there is an interesting 'Wall of China' upstairs, loved it. My grandson had a meal deal and his Bagel was really tasty, I just had a coffee and white chocolate cookie but the cookie was very good. I will most certainly be back and try a bagel for myself from the delicious sounding options

Not sure where they have had a salt beef bagel but this was awful, the beef was more like bacon and far too much French’s mustard it actually ooozed all over my plate, I was seriously hungry or I would have taken it back. The pings of the micro awe should have warned me. Had happy memories of lovely bagels on moortown bagel Nash but this was awful

Came here for a quick lunch whilst out shopping in York. Really tasty bagel, very filling too. I had the Mexican chicken bagel which I would recommend.

We called in here while out shopping for a quick coffee while out shopping in York. First time here. Good coffee, which did the job of refreshing us for further shopping, delivered to the table by a friendly waitress. Relatively clean toilet upstairs, although only one for the whole cafe and it was unisex. Good quality decoration in the cafe although quite functional. Suited us for what we wanted.

Friendly staff, airy café with good range of drinks (and, of course, bagels for everyone's taste!). Clean toilet upstairs. Would happily return.

What a dissapointment, walking past the store which I'd never heard of before I thought it looked like a nice place for lunch. I decided on a Gourmet Cheeseburger which costs £5.25, what I received was a massive dissapointment, a microwaved beef burger which was fairly tasteless and luke warm. The relish was nice enough although I couldn't even taste the cheese. There was no side accompaniment, I could not recommend going here at all from my experience.

Handy for a quick bite. Food was fresh and fairly quick but customer service was really poor. Guy behind the till was very rude. Ordered meal deals but he wanted to charge for the items individually. By the time he has resolved it, food was cold. Would recommend for convenience and choice but be mindful of your bill.

Came here for a quick and cheap lunch, but will definitely be back soon. The food was served very quickly and all the bagels were fresh and delicious.

Whilst staying in York, my partner and I ate at Bagel Nash for lunch and found it a really great option for people trying to be a bit healthier. The options for bagel fillings were fantastic and a lot healthier than a lot of other places we came across. I would recommend to anyone passing.

There ain’t no quality or care coming out on your plate. No extras like salad or anything else but if you’re just after a basic snack then it’s fine. A large choice of bagels and plenty of options to fill it. I went for the breakfast option of eggs and salmon and it was ok. Don’t go out of your way but it’s fine if you’re passing and you’re hungry.

Durante una reciente visita a Nueva York, me paré aquí para un almuerzo rápido. Pedí sal caliente carne (hash) en una rosquilla de Semillas de adormidera. Mientras la web dice que el sandwich será "una pila de carne caliente cortada en rodajas sal, "La mía en realidad consistía de una pobre cantidad de carne. La rosca era pequeña y bastante pastoso. Siendo de la zona de la ciudad de Nueva York, sé qué buena debe de ser bagel Este sin duda no lo era!

A pleasant enough cafe but nothing out of the ordinary. Coffee Ok but not the best around. Still, worth calling in if you are close by.

Fui hoy para un rápido aperitivo y me hacía estar más contentos. Después de un largo tiempo tratando de decidir lo que debería haber (todo parece deliciosa), me llevó un tiempo extra para decidir el pan. Al final, decidí ir en salmón ahumado y delux wholemal porque es simplemente increíble.

Looking for a cafe near to Jorvik in York and came across Bagel Nash, never had bagels before and saw it had scrambled egg and bacon and thought it would arrive as a breakfast, my partner ordered the burger, after quite a long wait or food arrived, I was a little bit disappointed with the "breakfast" as it arrived on a bagel there wasn't much on it and the presentation could have been better, the burger also came on a bagel however the burger was quite tasty, the menu isn't the best but it's a bagel cafe so should not have expected much, in hindsight I think I should have had the panini, the staff were friendly enough but this is not disabled friendly as the toilet is upstairs and there isn't much seating downstairs.

Every time we visit our bagels and service is always excellent. However, on this particular occasion we were disappointed you couldn’t personalise your bagel in anyway and discovered we had to collect our own food even though we were given an order number. The women was very sharp and rude I hope this addressed for next time we come.

Went here 3 times on our visit to york. I had the veggie club bagel on an olive and sun dried tomato bagel and it was delicious. The bagels are warm so it makes it even nicer. You can order to take away or eat in. If you eat in I'd recommend the seating upstairs . Bagels are around £3.50 to £4.50. Wish there was a bagelnash closer to home as I'd be there all the time. Great place to go.

Great staff, super friendly, and a good cup of tea! Stopped in for a quick snack after Jorvik... Great place to sit and watch the people go by..

My wife and I popped in for a late breakfast as we both enjoy a bagel and we weren’t let down! I had a smoked salmon and scrambled and and my wife had a veggie option and we both really enjoyed our choices! The man and women serving were also very friendly and helpful which was nice!

We found this little diamond whilst on the way to the Jorvik museum, and out of the places around these seemed the most reasonable price wise.

Popped in here on a couple of occasions recently, lovely food and great friendly service from the staff, (Great coffee as well!👍) will certainly return when we next visit york.

I can't say that bagels are my be-all and end-all but BN is really well done and for a formulaic presentation is interesting and offers a varied range of food. good quality food on the hoof.

Visited bagel nash in York today. My husband had the gourmet burger bagel and I had the humous and falafel bagel. Both delicious and very filling. Lovely helpful staff. All in all a lovely lunch

Hemos visitado este establecer para un rápido almuerzo. Estaba bastante lleno y el servicio parecía bastante agitado. Probablemente no nos ayuda que sólo había dos empleados para atender a medida.

Bagel Nash sirve sándwiches bagel con lados predecible. El servicio era un poco lento, pero en una zona turística, que sin duda es comprensible. Los bocadillos eran acerca de lo que era de esperar, nada de mal en peor ni excepcional sobre ellos. Los precios eran adecuado para la zona turística. En resumen: buen cambio de ritmo de hamburguesas o comida de pub, pero cara, un bagel es un bagel es un bagel. ¿Qué más se puede decir?

A pocas puertas de Jorvik. La comida era sabrosa y buena relación calidad-precio super. Los inodoros. El personal era muy servicial y amable.

Gracias al servidor intransigente en esta panadería, a unos 16. 00 horas, el 16/ 5/ 17. Mi nieta de repente necesitaba el inodoro, como suelen hacer los niños a veces incómodo. No permitirá que un niño de 3 años a usar el baño porque "no era su problema". Afortunadamente, el personal en el Café Nero en la misma calle, liberamos una pequeña niña la vergüenza de hacer pis ella.

Bagels - what else? I had saltbeef on multi-seed and bakewell tart. Kids had kettle chips & a drink, £12 all in. Service was a bit slow but it was busy - maybe have one person taking orders and payment and a couple making the bagels? Might speed things up. I didn't have to wait long once they'd taken my order though. Bagel was good - wasn't expecting it to be hot though, maybe put that on the menu to warn people? I would have preferred it cold. Bakewell tart was very good.

Walked across York to visit and when I arrived there were four people ahead of me, all good I thought. After five minutes watching chaos at the counter I gave up and left. It was clear that the staff were confused with orders and were making bagels and then removing toppings / scratching their heads over the food tickets etc. Whilst this happened the queue grew and grew and I decided to leave. What a shambles.

Stopped by to grab a bite, as usual we needed to ask about gluten free food & were pleasantly surprised when they had some choices! Not pleasantly surprised to see they add 60p though for the privilege of being a coeliac! Food was quick & hot and was exactly as stated so can't grumble to much, just depends on how sensitive you are if you need to be gluten free as the bagels are stored right next to each other, if you are worried about cross contamination then they will need to do better, although I don't seem to have suffered!

I did have high expectations because it was just a bagel, but the variety was huge and it I got a salted beef and mustard bagel it was the nicest sandwich I have ever had, I am definitely going again. Great value for money and healthy.

These tasty bagels are made to order and can be customised from the list on the wall. Also add a drink and a snack for a meal deal and lunch is complete. Staff are polite and friendly and you can eat in or take away.

Once upon a time, many years ago, I worked at York Designer Outlet. There, on my lunch breaks, I would often visit the Bagel Nash, which was then somewhat of a novelty, but nonetheless very well run, with both great food, and great service. Happening upon this place today I recalled the great bagels that were once on offer there and decided to pop in. The premises is nondescript, and forgettable. The service was below average, and certainly not what I remembered it had been like at the Outlet. There is a "meal deal" apparently, for which you get a drink, a side and (of course) a bagel. This deal however seems to exclude most of the drinks, I took a bottle of still water. The selection of sides was not much better; a bag of crisps, a sad looking cookie or a couple of hash browns. Perhaps regretting not going to McDonald's instead, I went for the hash browns. I opted for the falafel and hummus bagel. Service was quick, and the food was alright, though my memory of Bagel Nash has had to be rewritten. What I thought was once an almost jovial little place with friendly, outgoing staff, great food, and lovely freshly made orange juice, seems to have had a bit of a fall from grace. It isn't a dreadful place, but it isn't really that great either. I would probably, sadly, steer clear in future.

Popped in after shopping, friendly greeting as I bought a take out comprising smoked salmon. It was generous and delicious.Nice to find good food with healthy options in a busy place like coppergate. I shall visit again.

Delicious bagels with a great choice of fillings. We took advantage of a bagel/drink/slice deal which was great value. The staff are really friendly and great banter.

My boyfriend and I visited here to grab some lunch to takeaway. We waited at the counter for over 5mins without even being acknowledged even though there were 4 members of staff hanging around the counter - one girl who was cleaning the counter itself even looked up at us and then continued to clean without even asking if we wanted to order.The food when we did finally manage to order was ok but I definitely wouldn't return again to just be ignored.

Went in on impulse as the bagels looked lovely. However, I was ignored by all three available staff members. A friend of theirs then came in and all three started to talk to her, still ignoring me. After a few minutes, I gave up and left as they were clearly not interested in my custom or did not need the business!

My younger son wanted to come here we were on a trip to see the Christmas market and the dungeon.I arranged to meet my sons here for lunch.However we were really disappointed firstly with the wait approx. 25 minutes,the cleanliness,the table was not cleared neither were those around us and they told us the hash browns were to follow.They came after it seemed 10 minutes with no apology and when I mentioned an apology would be nice I was scowled at by the blonde haired waitress.The bagels were bland nothing great but we ate them because we left home at 7.30am and were hungry.We will not return.

Popped in for a coffee. One of the best soya cappuccinos I have had. Hot, not curdled & not sickly sweet - lush.The food looked great, pity we had just had breakfast, would have loved to try one of the tasty looking bagels.Service was brilliant.The place was very clean.Loved the signs.

Called in on Sunday morning to escape the rain! Staff greeting was better than expected after reading some of the reviews, ordered Bagels with bacon & cream cheese plus a pot of tea for me and a Chai latte for my better half. Served quickly and piping hot by a charming waitress. Bagels were good value plus a generous pot of tea. Overall, good food, good staff and very clean too!

We had breakfast here, and it was lovely, albeit a little dry. Service was quick and friendly and the food was as good as you'd hope for. Plus, the mugs of tea are enormous, which is perfect :)

We had two of the worst bagels we have ever tasted (tasted is probably the wrong word to use as both the tuna Mayo and the ham and cheese tasted of nothing). The actual bagels were like eating sawdust and the tasteless non existent filling did not help. The staff had a couldn't care less attitude which was reflected in the presentation of our food. I would certainly steer clear of this place.

I think I've been going here for maybe 2 years on a fairly regular basis and have yet to be greeted with little more than is humanly acceptable. Bagel Nash food is ok it's moved into the realms of subway and McDonald's , staff throw your bagel together with no care or attention whatsoever! I go to Costa across the road and the staff are fantastic always chat, polite and interested. Always remember your drinks! Small detail but shows a level of interest in their customers. Here nothing, miserable staff, maybe it's working for this company that does it but they need to do something , or just go elsewhere .

Great bagel choice with some good veggie options. Great for all the family. Interesting bagel selection eg sundries tomatoes and olives, cheese and jalapeño or of course just plain and simple.

Looked nice and clean..the food was average the staff were to busy talking and forgot to bring our coffee till 5mins after our food.i would go back if a friend wanted to go but wouldn't be my first chioce

Called in for lunch after a trip round castle museum. Ordered a couple of coffees , bacon a chicken bagel and gourmet burger as it looked good on the photo!! Why do this type of restaurant advertise with photos and then produce something looking like a squashed macdonalds ! Partners chicken arrived at best Luke warm and with really fatty bacon which was undercooked. I accept people like food cooked in different ways but a little bit more care and attention in purchasing and preparationwould really help. Worst part was cleanliness . Coffee was served first and I immediately sent my saucer back as it had dried on stains. Waiter apologised and said he would bring another.... He and a saucer Never to be seen again !!! I can understand this as on closer inspection we found both cups not clean either. There is one thing not quite cleaning cups and crockery but surely serving staff should spot any issues before serving !! Tables have a set of grooves running through them.....,I would suggest before eating here you make sure they have been properly cleaned.....ours hadn't been ( in what looked like ages) even though restaurant being quiet when we visited. This style of table doesn't really work in fast food outlets as an spills or crumbs gather and congeal deep down.Despite the above my gourmet burger , although I suspect bought in and previously being of frozen origin tasted fine The restaurant has a " China wall " where if you donate an unwanted mug you get a free coffee. Qwerky idea to bring in new and repeat business however if I returned which is unlikely I would want to use my own clean mug.

Tea and cake .slow service with the coffee and tea machines, trainee on the till who was not to familiar with it. Tables were not cleaned regular maybe to staff shortage.

Bagel Nash is Bagel Nash and you expect consistency across the brand. This branch is the best we have found because of its consistency of product, service and ambience and its particular eye for detail. Our Gourmet Bagel Burger, Falaffel Bagel and coffees were top notch, tasty and actually looked the example on the wall! One small criticism: You have huge doors and if you leave them open the cafe is cold!

Just what you need, I am always happy to grab a bagel in the window here and people watch, or it's a favourite of mine for a takeaway lunch where I work around the corner. Staff always happy to oblige my awkward orders and I never feel uncomfortable when we end up taking up their space for an hour gassing! Absolutely addicted.

We called in for a couple of bagels after visiting York Castle Museum which is nearby. Just after the lunchtime rush, we were able to get a table by the window.A couple of nice bagels with avocado made for a good lunch stop in this lovely city.

Really lovely carrot and coriander soup. We didn't eat any bagels since we're on a Low Carb High Fat diet, but the bagels smell divine. Friendly staff too.

Great tasting bagels and lots of choice. But don't go if you are in a hurry!There is a small seating area upstairs.I think it was probably a case that the place was understaffed, which lead to the slow service.

Lovely menu, there is a big selection of bagels to choose from. When this place first time opened I used to come at least once a week because I really enjoyed the way everything was done. But I came in last week and was slightly disappointed about my bagel. First of all, it took quite long for it to prepare; secondly, my avocado wasn't looking very fresh at all as well as I didn't get much filling that time. This just makes a whole sandwich not worth its price!

Good coffee, nice atmos, comfortable chairs and very clean loo! Notice in the window for staff - "only those with sparkling personality need apply". Hmm, maybe our waiter needs to take another look at his job description and SMILE! Other than that, all good.

Visited on Monday 27th lunch time. There was only one person in front of me in the queue so I didn't think it would be long until I was served. Unfortunately though, I was wrong. The two girls serving were engrossed in their own conversation, laughing and joking with each other, so much so that the wait time was ridiculous. As I was eating in, they said they would bring my bagel and tea over to me. Five minutes later my tea arrived and I had to wait another five minutes for my bagel. The bagel, tea and cookie were delicious and made up for the long wait but the service and the cleanliness of the store don't match the quality of their products. Poor service, lack of cleanliness and long wait times.

Bin schon zum zweiten Mal beim Bagel Nash gewesen und werde dort sicher noch ein paar mal einen Bagel genießen. Das Personal war sehr Freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Salt Beef Bagel ist sehr zu empfehlen und der Choc Chip Muffin war köstlich. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist voll gewährleistet.Wer eine rasche und gute Jause will ist hier an einer guten Adresse.

Found this place by accident while wandering around York.Great coffee, delicious muffins. Only a few seats but seems to be a very popular stop.Right next door to Jorvik, so if a caffeine break is needed try here.

Never seen this before, a 'wow' find at the start of a day out in York. The children love bagels (as do we) so it really made (the start of) our day. Service was good and the bagels (and fillings) were great.

The service in this bagel restaurant appeared to be quick and efficient the order was taken at the till and an order number issued, the assistant confirming the order would be delivered to our table which I confirmed would be upstairs. We waited and waited, the tables, which are not very numerous, filled up with people also displaying their order numbers waiting. Eventually and without apology our order arrived. Unfortunately it was incorrect and took a further age to correct. Other customers started making their way downstairs to check on their orders.Overall the food was fine if a little overpriced.This could be so much better. Maybe it was a bad day but it didn't appear out of the ordinary.

Was my first time here and had been wanting to try it for a while - I wasn't disappointed. The selection of bagels they have was excellent and myself and my boyfriend enjoyed it very much, will be definitely revisiting for round two! (He finished his and wanted another right away!)The only thing I would say is that the cafe is small so if you want a seat you need to get in quick, tho we managed just fine. But the same can be said for most places in York :)

Having holes in our middles due to it being lunchtime, we ran into Bagel Nash on our way to Jorvik. Delicious healthy food at a fair price. I just wish we could have taken some bagels home cuz they were very tasty.

The bagels are the best!! I came with my sister and we both ordered the meal deals. Very reasonable price. For choice of bagel and cookie/hash brown/crisp and a drink for £5.00. We ordered the salmon and avocado with cream cheese and it was amazing!!! However the only negative is the space. Its really small and no space wen u come with push chair if the tables are taken up near the door. Theres no lift to go upstairs seating area.

We had lunch in here on a wet winters day, the bagels were good and the staff friendly. It has seating upstairs and decent facilities. A simple but effective place to get a light bite.

Called in here after a horrid history of York walk. Upon arrival the young man serving told us he would be closing in 10 minutes so we said take away would be fine. However he said that it would be ok for us to stay and eat in after the doors were closed. I had pastrami with mustard and pickles and boy were they good. We also ordered chicken with sweet chilli and chicken and bacon, my wife and daughter said they were really nice. Ive eaten many bagels all over the place and these were as good as any I have eaten anywhere. There was no rush on us to leave customer service at its best, well done. Shop was spotlessly clean.

From reading the other reviews we must have been there on a good day! We love bagels, and I think this was the first place we found them in 10 days in England so were looking forward to them. I had sesame with cream cheese, my teenage boys had the jalapeno bagel with sweet chili chicken, can't remember the other two, but they ate it all and were quite happy. The food was fresh, the staff was friendly and efficient. I took photos of the bagels.

I rarely eat bagels, but there was a good selection and plenty of child friendly options to satisfy my kids. I thought the salt beef I had was tasty and the coffee was decent. Excellent popcorn. I know it's a northern chain, but not one I'm familiar with. Maybe if I'd eaten there several times before, the novelty would wear off, but I liked it. Close to York Castle museum which is why we popped in really, but a good choice.

Popped in here one Sunday morning for something a bit different..... went up to order however was stopped in my tracks when the girl serving proceeded to hold a 10 minute conversation about the night before with her male friend. There was another member of staff just standing in front of the till but ignored me when i asked if she was serving... maybe a new girl but a reply would have been welcome. Not wanting to listen in to the conversation, I sat back down. Thought they would come over by way of courtesy but was left sitting there for a further few minutes, after then she asked me to come over and order at the till, which was fair enough. Orders made and sat down to wait for our bagels. Very average bacon and scrambled egg. Reasonably priced and very clean. Good coffee. Toilets were clean - only 1 for the whole place, which to be fair wasn't all that big. Nice and relaxing atmosphere once the serving staff and I had forgotten our differences!

Wouldn't say the quality of Bagel Nash produce is up to much to be honest but I think some of their bagels are quite nice.. I like the New Yorker on onion. Just don't get anything with salmon or scrambled egg in it though because it will be curled up and worn out..not anything like a proper deli but adequate for a quick lunch on the go.

Generic, bland fare - the everything bagel tasted of nothing, and the scrambled egg was a frisbee, and the coffee scalded and insipid.The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient.Never going to another Bagel Nash.
