Got food poisoning out of this place the smell of my vomit was disturbing

Bought a doner kebab the other evening. Started to eat it walking home. Took two bites and it was inedible! Even for a doner kebab. The worst I have ever eaten. I walked back to the shop, put the full kebab on the counter (minus two bites) and told the staff, that I couldn't eat it as it was inedible. They said 'thank you' and laughed at me. Terrible customer service. There are terrific kebabs shops along Leith Walk, Shwarma for example. There are average kebab shops along Leith Walk that need to up their game because of the terrific ones. Deep Sea should be avoided for kebabs in my opinion. So bad, it prompted me to write my first review of a food takeaway.

No issue with the staff as she was nice and pleasant. However don't know how she could serve the fish as it was disgusting. The fish had obviously been sitting there for ages or had been cooked multiple times. The fish was actually chewy. Chips were below average also. Shocking for the price and only one piece of horrible fish.

The lady who runs this chippy most days short colourful hair is rude and doesn’t have the correct attitude towards certain customers for whatever reason, the foods gone down hill but the way she speaks to people tops it off for me and I will not be returning.

Placed an order last night only to receive a text message an hour after the order to inform us that our order has been cancelled. Very poor customer service, will not be ordering from this place again.

AVOID!! I had a lamb donner kebab which gave a two weeks worth of diarrhoea due to being infected with Giardia.

I have ordered from Sophie pizza many years weekly, best pizza in Birmingham, maybe 3 times order been wrong due to miss communication on phone, every time have resent a fresh order, I would like to say, girls you do amazing on the phone and so lovely and I know how busy can be and stressful at times , management have looked after me every-time with no issue and total understanding , wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Delicious piece of haddock with light crispy batter! Tasty chips & scrummy mushy peas. Perfect! Thank you for great food & friendly service. Can’t wait to revisit for another excellent supper.

Used this plaice for years!! Foods always spot on.

I popped into Chicken Cottage and was reminded why it’s my go‑to for a quick bite. The chicken was hot, crispy, and nicely seasoned, the fries were fresh, and the staff greeted me with genuine smiles. The restaurant was clean and service was fast—even during the dinner rush. Great value for money, too. Keep up the good work, Chicken Cottage!

Honestly shocking subway branch. Convenient location but only thing going for it. No customer service at all. Order on a screen and wait... you can't even see the fresh ingredients or watch them making your sandwich. Literally order and pray for the best. Awful thing about ordering on a screen is they are just following the order numbers so even if you have a nice small order your still waiting behind everything else. Small and cramped with 4 seating areas but your then sat in the way of people ordering. Not a nice way to eat your food. Also no toilets. I love subway and genuinely they have done nothing wrong but will advise to avoid this branch. Hope they don't do this to all the other stores.
