BBQ Kebab House Whipton in Exeter

Your meals taste good but it's literally everytime I order something, either it's cold/ missing salad or something else.. I ordered 1 large lamb doner and 1 small kofte shish wrap and the wrap literally did not have any salad. The wrapping paper was all sticking to the wrap. It looked horrible. I cried my eyes out after seeing this since I was expecting to have a nice meal and it was ruined. Thank you Please stop doing that to your customers.

Great choice of kebabs and not too expensive.

Just had cheesey chips and honestly the best chips I’ve had in years 😂 sauces where really nice too YUM 😋

Our go to kebab place in Exeter. Whole family happy with it.

We just order king size kabab and for starters they did not have chicken donnor then we ordered lamb donnor the guy check the meat when he notices he had not much meat he offered us to upgrade to chips for free when we opened the boxes was 80% chips 10% meat and 10% salad very disappointing it was £8 .50 not recommended

We ordered our food as per usual. We get a call from them to say they have messed up the order, we then asked when can we have what we ordered to be told very rudely they've cancelled our order as there are to busy to deal with it, so we asked for our money back to be told yes in three days. Complete joke this place and very rude staff!!

Great value for money, massive doner kebab. It is what it is and does it well.

Food is lovely here especially the half pound burger with added cheese and cheesy chips my go to meal. Variety of different kebabs ,burgers and kids menu.

I used to use this kebab shop a few years ago and always got the same, chicken shish kebab. It was amazing then! Lovely portion sizes, good amount of chicken and nice amount of salad. Thought I'd get a shish tonight and was utterly shocked when I got home! 6.50 for a small kebab, 3 chunks of chicken ...a zillion raw onions smothered in coleslaw and sauce. It was also tiny....not filling at all. A complete rip off, I'd have been more satisfied with a supermarket chicken wrap. What happened? Did it change hands? So disappointed, will never use them again. Kebabs are meant to be a cheaper takeaway not expensive for hardly any food. Why spend £6.50 on utter rubbish when you could walk in Wetherspoon's and have a much better meal for the price. Very poor show. Cannot recommend at all.

This take away never fails to please. The food is cooked fresh and reasonably priced. Just recently we have started to order online for delivery. The delivery is prompt and the staff are always polite and pleasant.

Was horrible food came ice cold called up and they only offered us 10% after we just spent £40 on food. Never had problem like this before won't be ordering from there again.

Used to be one of the best in exeter since it’s change hands it’s really poor now rock hard meet some of the guys can hardly understand English over priced never have hot wings anymore always some excuse don’t wast your money trust me been going here for years not going to bother anymore

I always find they forget the sauce I order and it annoys me as I enjoy it with my food!! Ordered today and forgot the sauce yet again and me and my son don’t even wanna eat the food now !! Plus the meat is quite chewy just won’t order again from here now !!

Ordered a kebab wrap with lettuce and garlic sauce, the wrap had no lettuce so I contacted them to ask why? They said they had ran out of lettuce and didnt think to contact me to ask if I wanted an alternative. Poor customer service.

Used to be amazing takeaway with the best kebabs in Exeter, but it has massively gone down hill. Food is hit and miss. Some times still really nice, but more often now subpar. Kebab meat is often barely cooked now and swimming in grease. Also I really don't understand why the staff are there. Last time we went there were 3 staff members. We ordered food, waited 5-10 mins and no one started doing it. Then the younger lad came back from deliveries and they had him do it all. What's the point of having the other 3?? And why do we need to wait for him to come back to get our food made? Every time we go in the young guy does everything whilst the others just stand around staring at you or chatting. The other staff also never clean their hands. Seen 1 guy sneeze whilst cutting kebab meat, then just continue cutting it. My girlfriend refuses to go in unless I'm there because they often just stare at any females that come in, especially the older guy. Such a shame, been going there for years and gave them so many extra opportunities hoping next time will be better, but it never is. Ruined a great kebab shop.

Quick service reasonably priced.

So ordered garlic mayo chips large , and got dry plain chips , no drivers to sought the problem , after the staff asking twice what we wanted and paid for joke and had to order things we didn't want just to get delivery

People were very nice but food was unfortunately cold and two of my family were sick after eating it.would not use this shop again - you know the saying ' once bitten .............. !we had take out but literally live 1 minutes walk away from the shop

We always order from these guys. We order from these guys tonight and I had a lamb shiah kebab for £6.50. It was a size of half of my hands. We are really disappointed. definitely not worth it. More breads than anything else.

Food took over an hour and a half to be delivered and tasted awful, straight in the bin.

Our first choice for kebabs in Exeter! Just had Donor wrap and chips and it was delicious. Super fast delivery as always and both kebab and chips were perfect. Great size portion of chips and massive wraps. Staff answering the phone are always friendly. A must try if you haven’t already!

Hi until I tried this kebab house I always stuck to the same thing (cheeseburger and chips) but the bbq’d Shish kebabs really appealed and they did not disappoint. I’ve now tried the chicken and chicken tikka and they are fantastic! I can’t recommend this place enough amazing food, short waiting times, great value for money, great portion sizes and happy friendly staff. Thank you I will defo be back regularly.

Best kebab in town and the food is always good, BUT every time I order from them they get the order wrong somehow, in a different way every time. Advise being there while they make it, to ensure you get what you want. I'll still go back though, as the food is top notch!

Been using them for years. Never had any problems. Delivery is always super fast and friendly and their online ordering makes it so much easier. Could be a little more generous with the salad though 🤭

We have always gone here to get our Kebabs and chicken as a family, but to be honest the last time ordered a meal it was awful we thought they were having a bad night so tonight I ordered a mixed kebab and what can I say it was in edible so I called them to say how bad it was and was told it’s not my problem and don’t want to know, so sad as like I said we always used them but never again.

Took our order at 8.40pm to be delivered was expecting delivery at 10pm. Never arrived didn't ring to let us know. Why take a order if your not going to do it. Quick enough to take the money. To late to get anything else now bloody joke

Have used bbq kebab house before on numerous times with no problems on my last order for mixed meat wrap and onion rings was fine also orderd scampi and chips when the delivery arrived no scampi just another portion.onion rings when I phoned up was told they phoned me 3 times I hed zero missed calls on my phone I fail to see the how onion rings have any similarly to scampi what a joke won't be using again

Love it here, proper BBQed meat, large portions and great value. We especially enjoy the large family special which is real treat. Some really lovely people serving too.

Never been before but had chefs special. Pretty awesome kebab but not cheap at £ 15.45. Super tasty keema kebab. Very fresh salad. Would be a 4.5 for me . Well recommended would go back again. Friendly and clean.

Asked for separate sauce & salad separate & ignored so only 1 star , used many times & usually get it right , but to many rushed times & got wrong so needs a kick up the butt , with listening to requirements of each customer’s requests 😢👎

Their chicken doener is absolutely tasty and didn't have any problems with delivery or presentation. Would definitely recommend giving it a try.

I’ve been here a few times and this is the 2nd time they have forgotten to put salad on the kebab. By the time I get home with it and see it’s missing it’s to late. They don’t listen to orders right. Last time I’ll be going here. Avoid at all costs.

Ordered the family meals to receive it an hour and a half later, the chicken was pink inside, the chips had no sauce on when it was asked for and the tikka wrap was stone cold!! Spent £30 for year years eve on half the meal being thrown away! They ignored my phone calls to complain and they ignored my messages I sent on Facebook! Do not recommend, worse customer service ever, even when you call to order!!

As you can see, presentation is not a priority. I phoned my order to collect. Place looked clean and the staff was friendly. Food Was ready in 5 mins. I ordered the mixed kebab, Donna kebab on chips and 2 cheese burgers. Salads and sauces were in the bag. The mixed kebab was very nice. A recommended dish.

Very friendly staff very helpful and really delicious food I have the donor wrap and I can not fault this it is so tasty will definitely be back to this kebab shop and would Recommend here too always very busy which is a good sign but you never wait too long when you walk in and place your order :-)

Just left the shop after waiting inside for 10mins with 4 staff behind the counter. No one greeted me or asked for my order so i left. Terrible manners and customer service.

My Mrs wanted me to give a 3 but I wanted to put 1. I asked for regular and was given large and paid for it. We also asked for mint but they drenched it enough for 30 lamb dinners, awful!!

Abit disappointed. ordered online but it wouldn't let me add salad to the kebabs i wanted to order. I called up to ask why and got told to add it in 'add notes' and they would do it... but still the kebabs arrived dry with no salad?

AVOID!! DO NOT PAY ON THEIR NEW WEBSITE BY CARD!! Ordered at 9.30pm, paid by card. At nearly 10pm I received a text that it had been cancelled as they were shut?! (Closes 11pm). Refund will take up to 5 working days!! Not happy and a loyal customer has been lost, if I could leave minus stars I would have!

Placed an otder at 17.15 and was told it would be 30 minutes until it was delivered. Call up at 18.15 to be told the order was only just being made and it would be delivered in 30 minutes. Called again at 19.30 and was rudly spoken to. Bloke said i had given wrong phone number and there was no number on the front door. Then when i said there is a number on the door and confirmed the phone number was correct, they then said i didnt give them the house number. Total liars! Ive now have hungry kids upset as they now have to wait even longer while i cook some food. Absolutely discusting service and appalling telephone manner. DO NOT ORDER FOR DELIVERY. We will never be ordering again.

Very nice chicken doner. The spicy garlic mayo sauce is to die for ♥. If staff smile more and they do something about the cold inside the store, I'd give them five stars easily.

Not well suited for eating in as the decor is very basic but the food is delicious. They do delivery to the local area.

Ordered for for my family as we do every payday for well over a year never had an issue until tonight we never received the chips that came with the Mega 4 meals rang them they said they would send out the chips right away two hours later no chips and rang them back and they said the driver had delivered the chips already to my surprise as still waiting the woman on the phone was symplectic the first time I rang but when I said they never turned up her attitude towards it was a appalling and she said what do you want me to do about it I never once asked for a refund or credit just to inform them they had made a mistake but I wasn't gonna get any further with the call so I hung up the phone I won't be ordering anything from them again and personally feel the food quality has dropped please check your orders before you pay as you not gonna get much help a second time around
