Ordered Mini Fish & Chips and Small donor Kebab and Cine of chips at 19.07 on a Friday night……ok Friday nights at that time for a Fish and chip shop can be busy…………but 1 hr 20mins for such a small order !!!! And they advertise to not order through delivery services such as Just Eat etc and order through their own delivery service…….what a joke. When i contacted them over the phone just after an hour of waiting it was the same old phrase of “we are just bagging it up now it’s leaving in 5 minutes” ………sorry but you have said this one too many times…………..and it still did not arrive for another 20 minutes. I was also told by one of the staff that if I do not like it to take my custom elsewhere…………fair enough I will as your food quality and general customer service and MANNERS have gone very much downhill. The push I needed to try elsewhere

The food is good and the offerings make it affordable too. The service was great. However, I wouldn't eat there. Due to the location right on the main street, it is very loud and uncomfortable.

Food is great and staff are always very friendly. Ive been ordering from Sophies for about 10 years and never once had a bad meal, food is consistently delicious.

We go every Saturday to Sophie's..mostly it is very good ..on the odd occasion the chips were dreadful (cheap potatoes) but mostly it's very good..

Phoned to make order to collect 9.45 said wasn’t allowed in shop even tho close at 10 poor customer service felt like slapping girl on phone

They no longer do the Gourmet Burgers and have replaced it with what they call a smash burger. I would like to say that the replacement burger is awful it was thin, dry and chewy, also very over priced. The other burger was lovely thick, juicy and filling. I'm not sure why thay have changed it but I can honestly say I've had much better in McDonald's! Thus used to be a great place for Burgers but now it's really gone down hill. Sorry Sophies but I will not be returning.

I can’t believe that the double burger has gone up by 50% when people are struggling with money, will not be ordering again which is a shame because the food is nice but not worth that money

So today I tried Sophie’s new smashed legend burger, at first I thought it would be impossible for them to already beat their existing beef patties, but these new burger are phenomenal. They are seasoned to perfect, the new American cheese goes extremely well and the chicken patty was on point. Has to be one of the best burger spots in Birmingham. Definitely worth a visit. A food bloggers paradise 🔥

I am so impressed with the freshness, quality, quantity of food I received and incredible value for money. Absolutely refreshing to be able to order good food. I’ve searched for a food shop of this quality for a long time and I will definitely be returning weekly. The food arrived hot and on time.

It’s so clean staff are friendly I highly recommend this place. It is cheaper to collect however if you can’t that’s fine delivery is good Fast. The pizza are delicious 😋 You can sit in and have your meal. I’ve never been disappointed when I’ve purchased food from here 😊 Also just to highlight the food hygiene rating is 5* which is always a plus!!!

The best pizza place in the area!! I don’t live local and visit my bf AND every time I’m down, I have to get the chicken tikka temptation. It’s fresh and loaded with plenty toppings. Clean place, friendly staff, great deals - what more can you ask for.

When the parents handed the business to their useless son his vile attitude and lack of customer service has run the business into the ground! This chain won awards and the queue used to be out the door!!!!! The food is a joke overpriced greasy rubbish! Coley passed off as cod (false advertising) soggy lettuce and a large helping of attitude from the owners son with the glasses at the sad salad bar, he should sell the business instead of running it into the ground! His parents were lovely ppl

Unfortunately I did not get what I asked for? But luckily it wasn't cooked so it was unreadable anyway which was a nice surprise Tried to give it to the dog who is now hiding under the table barking at it Good sign Well done guys you have done something remarkable 0 stars isn't an option Sad 😔 x

There are so many great things to say about Sophie's Pizza & Pasta, I'm not sure they would all fit. The food is awesome, delicious, fresh and clearly everything is prepared with care as well as a focus on quality. The kitchen looks spotless and it always has, not like some pizza places that have Food Hygiene scores that yo-yo. The delivery service runs beautifully and after ordering most weekends since they opened, I can honestly say that every delivery/order has been spot on. If all this wasn't enough, the owners and their colleagues are always a pleasure to deal with, polite, professional and always welcoming. If it were not for Sophie's Pizza & Pasta, I'm sure we would not have survived Covid or Lock Down. Thanks to everyone there for an end to end brilliant experience.

Great pizzas, good prices and friendly staff

Found this place recently and we absolutely LOVED it. The food was amazing and the service was friendly and attentive. There are so many things to try on the menu but we went for the chicken fillet burgers and loaded fries and they definitely didn't disappoint. Excellent and I highly recommend! High fives to everyone in the Sophie's Pizza & Pasta team, you all over-delivered and exceeded expectations. Will definitely come by again ❤️ 10 STARS!

Amazing freshly made food with the best Ingredients wow

Just ordered my grandkids pizza never ordered before as I don't eat pizza but the girl on the phone who I order from went through the sizes and she said 10 slices so got that , when it came it was 4 slices phoned up said they didn't do a 10 slice so grossed wires but very disappointed never even offered a free pizza 🍕

Had the tikka temptation pizza, absolutely amazing, awesome flavours, beautiful light base and the flavours were just perfect. You gotta try this !!

No customer toilets. I was willing to purchase items but I was advised that there aren't any customer toilets. Surprising considering the number of tables avaliable for dining in. Would be nice to have somewhere to wash hands before/after eating.

We decided to go to this chippy as we go here very regularly as a family. But today was the first time we actually got very bad customer service from the workers who are doing as many things as they can all at the same time, food was cold and old. please avoid at all costs.

I have been looking for a local pizza place for a while now, these guys do not disappoint!! They piled on the toppings, which I have to say tasted so fresh. The food came piping hot, everything just tasted amazing. Absolutely love this place. Special shout-out to the mac and cheese bites.

Lovely take away chilli con carne, pasta and salad. The best chilli con carne I have had for a long time. I shall definitely return.

I used to be a regular but quality has got bad veggy burger haloomi used to be full of salad double haloomi and option of any sauces now one small hallomi hardly any salad and can only choose 1 sauce , so 1 customer lost .

Eat regularly from here,but find the chips are hit and miss,the cod is priced at a expensive £8.50 ( just for cod,no chips) and has shrunk in size,barely bigger than some mini fish,I know running costs have increased but surely not by over £2 a item as batch cooked,will stick to dads lane which is delicious with a saving of over £10 for our household of 4,as everybody is feeling the pinch,I’m sure they’ve also downgraded the potatoes they use

Decided to head to Sophies (Cotteridge) for kebabs. We ordered a small chicken tikka kebab and a large doner kebab. When we got home and opened up our food, my partner was very disappointed with the very small amount of meat in his kebab which had been covered with a large amount of salad. Considering the large kebab was over £6 it's meat content was disappointing.

This used to be the best chippy in Brum. I get that prices have to rise nowadays - but soggy and chewy batter around weird, dry, hard and chewy “cod”, was definitely not worth the ££. The chips were still as good, but a large portion is the size a regular used to be. Will be giving up fish and chips as I’ve been put off completely. Yuck!

Ordered a pizza chips n drink at 6.30pm arrived shy of 8pm … cold !!! Always used to use Sophie’s delivery poor recently can’t rely on it arriving in time or hot not good enough

I have been ordering from Sophie’s for over 7 years now and the quality and service is fabulous every time! Today we tried the new milkshakes and they are amazing! Must try! Delivery was quick and food still HOT. Thank you guys for great consistent service. 100% recommend.

So placed the order online when I came to collect it they said that they did not receive my order . They wanted me to pay for the order again even though I showed them I payed on my banking app . What a joke

Had a 12" thin based extra or double pepperoni pizza, garlic bread, and portion of chips. Food was piping hot when it arrived, and tasted excellent. First time customer, will definitely use again...

Went here a while back as there was a man hitting his wife in the pub and we got very stabby vibes but had to wait for the radio on the car to be fixed .... Anyway, this little place is an absolute gem! ❤️ The food was really nice, it was clean, staff were also very friendly! So if you're looking for somewhere safe to eat with decent food while you wait for your radio to be changed, I would highly recommend! Also, just if your passing I would recommend 😁

The BBQ base is insane! Very tasty and they do fab offers so really good value. Would recommend.

The food was absolutely delicious 😋 all this for £26 including 2 slushies the pasta was gorgeous 😍 both children was raving about it for hours wouid return when it the area.

Love Sophie's pizza's best I've had and they taste just as good the next day warmed for breakfast haha. I always opt for the BBQ meat feast and some times is a little greasy but never puts me off I love it and keep coming back for more, also the nuggets are nice too as a side to the pizza.

I use this chippy alot.ordered alot of food from this chippy but not anymore I opened my food tasted the fish that should of been Cod but were coley instead.chippies like you should be closed you cheating bustards.

Their pizza is cheap and taste better than Dominos. My son loves it and doesn't want Dominos anymore. I haven't tried their other menus.

Our local pizza shop food is always freshly cooked and piping hot . Friendly service the owner Chris is a lovely man and takes time to know his regular customers . We have a particularly fussy family of eaters due to having sensory requirements with food . We custom our orders and Chris always ensures they are right .

First time I have ordered online but pleasantly surprised my order was delivered within 20 minutes at peak time too. Fish and chips were delicious and a very big portion. Chicken and chips same really hot and tasty.

Terrible place, we won’t be eating here again. Service is terrible and the I’m sure the food was reheated and double fried being as the fish had a double layer of batter, the chips were also green.

Came into the choppy at Sunday 18 April to order quite amount of food came home and the Donna kebab meat was not nice at all it was like eating a leather settie the rest of my member of family said exactly the same so I won’t be eating here again and I’ve been going Sophie’s for years good meal for the dogs at least

Amazing fresh pizzas every time ! I went for there special, TIKKA TEMPTATION! . Nice little kick chicken tikka chillies garlic base fresh coriander, kids had chicken nuggets chips, garlic cheesy bread . Hot wings , food arrived fresh and hot, would really recommend!

Best pizza in the city without a doubt I don’t know how there branch isn’t bigger and more global but they are the best pizza makers around I hope they never close down I remember when it was called Pino’s pizza 🍕

Embarrassingly poor service. Waited for an hour and a quarter with no sign of a delivery - had to call to find out what was wrong and was met with rude and unhelpful staff. Had to cancel the order. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. EDIT: They then replied to my review by lying about the circumstances and verbally attacking me further! I did not demand that the order be free at all and am offended at the suggestion. True that they offered a £3 cake but I rejected this (simply because I don't like cake) and asked if there was anything else I could have instead and they said it was either that or they'd cancel the order, so I agreed to the cancellation. The roads were in no way treacherous at that point and any of the light snowfall had been gone by noon with the order being placed at around 6:30pm. Their response just shows how little they know about running a business that their reaction was to attack the customer with inaccurate, fatuous accusations - this gives some insight into the operation that they run. Take note!

Picked up 3 pizza on Friday night on the way home from Birmingham had 2 different pizza both delicouse the base and crust was really nice. Very friendly staff The premises were spotless

Waited over an hour for delivery and when it arrived the base of my partners pizza was swimming with grease. I actually had to clean it with a paper towel and put it in oven to dry it out. It was slightly better but inevitably got thrown in the bin. My search for good pizza continues!

I have never eaten here. The land next to it belongs to the owner and is in very poor condition and there are often rats and foxes there.

2nd time ordered pizza from here. Buy one get one free. Absolutely delicious as before and great value for money. I won't be buying pizza from anywhere else.

I often get takeaways from here, and they are very nice. The delivery service usually takes around 1 hour to deliver, so I would pre-order and have patience lol. For dining-in, the food is served very quickly, but if you order the pasta, it usually gets heated in the microwave - nonetheless the flavour is spot-on and delicious. The pizzas are very tasty, I would say that this is the best local pizza restaurant for anyone who wants a nice pizza takeaway. Also, their chicken nuggets are very similar in taste to Maccie's.

Ordered pizza last night for me my spouse and decided to try there Tikka temptation pizza! Wow I was blown away it was a tastebud sensation! Piping hot, on time and fantastic value for money. You could tell the dough is made freshly every morning unlike those other franchised Companies that use frozen dough.

Always absolutely bang on, can’t recommend enough, we get pizza from here every week. 👌

Ordered a pizza treat night for my boys. Buy 1 get 1 free, along with garlic bread and chips. They loved it. Cooked lovely, delivered in reasonable time and piping hot. Great!

We ordered a margherita and a pepperoni. They were delivered within 30 mins by a very polite chap who was extremely grateful for the tip (despite it being relatively small - i didn't have much cash on the house). Anyway, the pizzas were hot and tasty. The kids were happy so I'll be ordering again in future.

I have tried it a couple of times now. And you know what? I havent got a clue how dominoes could survive next to you guys?!? The pizza is great service fast and good, even when the place is fully stuffed, witch is all the time. Prices are realy good. There is tge best example for, if you make good quality and sell it for a good price, you dont have to overprice your items because it is just sell itself. Best in town. Just like that guys!

2000hrs, Ordered our food for home delivery. On opening the order all the drinks were missing. I contacted Sophies who said they would sent their driver back. 2230 still no sign of my drinks. Recontacted them and was told they were sending their driver back with a refund. Utter contempt for their customer and clearly no intention of returning. Their answer: call tomorrow and it can be sorted. Ok, I know its only 2 cans of pop but if they do this enough times how much extra profit are they making. BEWARE. Do NOT trust and check your order before paying!

Pure awful. Ordered 2 pizzas and they looked like they'd been cut by a 5 year old. They also had/ have a bitter taste and what seems to be black pepper. Very greasy.
