****FOR MANAGEMENT**** Went yesterday and have dietary requirements, the staff at this store went above and beyond. Advised me of things which wouldn’t be suitable, separated my items from other foods to avoid issues for me (which is obviously difficult and takes time) and on top of this friendly and served me with a smile. PLEASE GIVE HIM A PAY RISE! I think his name was Viadas (his badge was a little smudged so I couldn’t read properly) I have never been treated like this at any subway before! Wonderful human being!

I have used this Subway branch several times in the last 6 months. There always seems to be an issue regarding payment for my meal. I order online and arrive to be told that my meal is not ready because "sometimes payments don't go through and I might need to pay cash". I tried to order a sandwich and pay using my Subcard loyalty points but the card scanner was faulty that day. I've just been in and I can't even use my debit card to pay. Cash only roday. I suspect the staff are lining their pockets by insisting on cash payments then not ringing them through the till. I've never had this much trouble buying a sandwich in any other branch of Subway ever.

I would advise anybody with allergies to avoid this particular Subway like the plague. I witnessed one employee picking salad pieces out of egg, dairy and meat compartments and putting them back in with the salad. We are vegan and were being served by a lovely man who had put on fresh gloves but then another employee came over and put their hands all over our sub after they had just been handling dead flesh. We ended up leaving as if we had eaten there we could have become rather unwell as the hygiene standards were abysmal.

Had tuna sandwich , but before me was lad who ordered everything on he’s sandwich Staff politely warned him about price / so customer said no problem I tink One of staff Lads was new on training , and he got stress how to build up that huge sandwich and was busy time … He’s college took over , that Huge sandwich order and helped out So I get my cold not toasted sandwich quickly Well done guys , team work in hard situation With smiles on faces And tanks for warm welcome 🙏🏻

Had the NEW submelt the Steak and Chesse one, all's I can say is it was like dog meat on a sub which had been put through a panini machine it was soggy from the amount of sauce that was added. Only 1 place for this so called sandwich is the BIN!!. I will never eat from Wigan Wallgate subway AGAIN.

I have been in this subway this morning 2nd June 2023. First time ever I have heard that they can't do salads in breakfast. In every subway I have been no one refused but its looking like subway services is getting worse day by day.

It's very clean inside, and has very friendly staff.

The worst one around Wigan. Very slow and rude. People are waiting in the queue and both of the guys serving one customer 🤨 I mean one is preparing the food and the other one is just watching. Shame shame shame

Id give this place ZERO stars, the girl serving me was absolutely rude as F, rolling her eyes and attitude. I wanted salad on my sandwich but sadly i had to skip that as there was flies landing all over the salad!!!! Absolutely disgusting!!!!

Ordered food on just eat to never receive so phoned them which they didn’t seem arsed until said we was coming for it cos they already took the money so went to collect it to which they got the order wrong no sauce on some and wrong bread not surprised really 3 young lads serving but all looked 3 sheets in wind anyway !!! Totally rubbish service will not order from there or even go in to get it made fresh … but would like to thank them for my free cookies for my inconvenience

I always come to this store when the other one down the street has a queue through the door. It is run by the same franchise so you know you're going to receive the same great service, and sandwich. The only downside is that the seating area isn't the biggest, so you can't always sit in to eat your delicious sub.

The chicken natcho was brilliant I will go and get that one again x

Standard subway. Staff were friendly enough and they had all the usual products. Disappointing that they do not offer the Slimming World discount on salads.

Very small grab and go outlet with a couple of seats. But clean and what you would expect. New wraps are great from here.

After saying I'd never step foot in a Subway again, I took advantage of a £1.50 breakfast 6" sub at this Subway branch - the other on Standishgate having provided terrible service previously. The staff in this one are lovely and helpful. The food isn't the best and I probably won't go in again unless another voucher ends in my lap but if I do, I'll be returning to this one.

It's a subway, you know exactly what you are getting. Busy, and the place is looking tired. But it's clean. Staff can be a bit grumpy, but presuming they are all on zero hours contracts and minimum wage, and dealing with every drunk in Wigan, I'll forgive them.

Although this subway offered good food, I found the staff were less than attentive and they didn't have alot of the stock (bread etc.)

Tenemos baguettes desde aquí a menudo y son siempre una buena relación calidad-precio. Te da confianza en el producto cuando se puede ver limpio, el personal haciendo baguettes a la orden y puedes escoger lo que ensaladas, etc. que quieras. Nada es demasiado problema

Bueno, es otrom subway com cualquiera, eso si por 3 pounds te compras un sandwiche de pork que esta muy bueno

only went in as had had nothing to eat for a while just wanted a quick snack, bread was more like stodge filling tasteless apart from the salami in other words overpriced c**p

I asked for some toasted bread without fillings once when I was feeling unwell and they refused to serve me. Having since researched the company I'm so glad I didn't eat their food - some of their bread was found to contain as much salt as 16 strips of bacon. I never got to eat here but my experience was rubbish, the staff were unhelpful when all I wanted was a bottle of water and a 6" sub without filling at 3pm on a quiet weekday when the restaurant was empty. I won't be going back.

I'm beginning to wonder if the Subway loyalty scheme is a con. On the last three visits to the Subway on Walgate, Wigan they have told me the machine stopped working about a hour ago.

Went about 3.30 in morning after id finished work. Girl who was serving didnt put any sauce on my sandwich then there was a few drunk colleges behind the counter who tried to pass my something that looked like a fedex parcel. Take some pride in your job ffs!!!!

Brilliant midday snack was delightful. Fast service with a friendly atmosphere. There a two Subways in the town centre both are wonderful.

I love subway,the fresh bread,picking all your fillings with the trimmings,it's clean,quick and the foot long for a fiver is a bargain.

If you want to eat healthily it's very easy at any Subway store and it the best priced sandwich in town.

I love how the food is consistently good in every branch I visit. OK, it's a chain, but at least I know what to expect - great subs & salads every time. I use the branch in the centre of Wigan if I am shopping there over lunchtime. Favourites for me are the Italian B.M.T. or the tuna, served on Italian herb & cheese sub, with cheese & all the salad (tomato, cucumber, red onion, jalapeño, olives, peppers), topped with chipotle southwest sauce. Alternatively I have the meal in a salad bowl, without the sub bread. Delicious! I just wish they did prawn subs as well.
