Artie's Kitchen

Chichester South, Chichester
17/11/2018: What an absolute breath of fresh air for Chichester city centre - a thriving independent with fantastic decor, service and A1 food.
17/11/2018: Came back for our second dinner at Artie’s and were not disappointed! Service was spot on and the food even better than last time! We tried the pork cheeks and the hake... absolutely gorgeous! Artie’s is definitely our new favourite place in Chichester. Thank you!

The Crate and Apple

Chichester West, Chichester, 20-30£
14/11/2018: We had booked this at the last minute and with only a quick glance at the reviews but WOW! This is exceptionally good value for the money, with some excellent service a nice easy relaxed atmosphere. Very clean and an absolute gem in eating establishments.
14/11/2018: I was in a party of four today and we all enjoyed our experience. I had the ‘catch of the day’ fish and triple cooked chips, another had the steak sandwich and 2 had the burger. This isn’t just pub food, it’s The Crate and Apple pub food. The 2 that had burgers reckoned it was the best they ever had. I must say the my fish and chips was really good. I have never tasted chips like this before. They are so tasty. I am going to hav3 to go back. The staff are friendly and welcoming too.

Field & Fork Restaurant

Chichester North, Chichester
13/12/2018: We held our wedding breakfast here last week and it was brilliant.
08/12/2018: Naz was an amazing waiter...his attitude was brilliant...really made us feel welcomed!!! The food complimented the service 👌

The Old Greenhouse

Fishbourne, Chichester, 45-60£
16/12/2018: We had dinner last night in the Old Greenhouse with two friends, once again the menu was excellent and matched by the food. Good selection of wines and reasonably priced, a locally produced Gin to start the evening and a liqueur to end it, all in all a very pleasant evening in a friendly atmosphere. Nik is the proprietor and chef who does a great job and also finds time to talk to his customers. This was our fourth visit and will certainly not be our last.
03/12/2018: Had the 4 course Sunday lunch menu for £20 each and it was amazing value.Good quality food cooked well and served by friendly attentive staff.A special mention to Fabian who was very friendly and efficient with a great sense of humour.

Ask Italian

Chichester North, Chichester, >100£
02/12/2018: I can be quite particular and the staff here were so helpful and accommodating. For example I don’t like the brandy style glasses they use our waiter happily changed it to a normal wine glass. My pizza arrived with fresh tomatoes on (they had run out of sun blushed) felt awkward to mention but it was no trouble at all and within minutes a fresh pizza with mushrooms was on the table. Really appreciate this high level of service. The best ASK I have been to.
01/12/2018: I visited here with my best friend. We had starters and mains. Food was lovely! And the staff is very nice here. Specialy Arnold who normaly works in Petersfield, he was a lovely friendly happy waiter. He made us lots of laughs and we really enjoyed our evening. I strongly recommend eating here. I definitely want to go back.

The Sir Roger Tichborne

Plaistow, Chichester, <20£
11/12/2018: We have just had our Christmas lunch at this gem of a pub and I would like to thank George and his team for looking after us so well. Nothing was too much trouble and the food and wine were delicious. I can thoroughly recommend this venue. We had a special menu and the crab starter was very fresh and delicious; the slow cooked lamb shank was enormous! It melted in the mouth and was served with a delicious gravy and properly crispy roast potatoes! We had cheese to finish the meal and that again was a wonderful selection of cheeses including locally sourced cheddar.
10/12/2018: I have previously reviewed Sir Roger Tichborne in its capacity as an excellent English pub serving great food and excellent beer with a very friendly team led by George.

Riviera Restaurant

Selsey South, Chichester
11/12/2018: Been here many a time. Can't resit the fish and chips here. Awesome as usual and great service and value for money
27/11/2018: We first visited the Riviera completely by chance after a google search for a carvery near by (we were staying at bunn leisure!) we weren’t sure what to expect but were very impressed by the friendly staff quick service and great quality food. We actually ended up visiting 2 more times while we were on holiday! Each time the food was amazing we couldn’t fault it! The kids menu was good and they enjoyed what they ordered. The puds were possibly the best part (although we couldn’t fault any of the food) the restaurant was always busy and everyone we spoke to about it had very high praise for the food! It’s a little gem slightly hidden away! (We didn’t even realise it was there the first time we stayed at bunn!) a must of you’re in the area!

The George

Chichester North, Chichester, 20-30£
12/12/2018: Came in for a bite to eat with a couple of friends, food was out of this world and the service was great, cant wait to come again
11/12/2018: A family meal for 7 of us last Sunday at 1pm went very well. We arrived early and had a drink in the bar while we waited. We were seen to our table which was sufficient for the amount of people. 4 of us had the roast dinners, beef & turkey (other meats also available), one of the others in our group had the fish & chips. The food was very tasty and well presented, service was friendly and helpfully & smiley. A selection of desserts was also had, I can recommend the sticky toffee pudding. Atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Highly recommend a visit for a nice family lunch.

The Gribble Inn

North Mundham, Chichester
14/12/2018: A proper old English country pub, thatched roof, oak beams throughout, wood burner and a friendly pooch. Great homemade ale, delicious food and you can gaze into the spotless kitchen from the car park. Wonderfully thought out gardens. Cheerful staff who clearly enjoy their roles.
12/12/2018: Amazing lunch. Everyone in our group loved what they picked. We tried a good variety of starter, mains and desserts. Great food, great service and their own beer sets it all off

The Stags Head

Westbourne, Chichester
13/12/2018: Tried this pub on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. Had to wait a while for food as it was busy but we were told from the outset. Friendly service and when the food arrived it was nicely cooked and well presented. Would definitely use again. Anyone with mobility issues however, be aware there are steps to some of the seating and also to the toilets.
11/12/2018: We booked last minute for Sunday Carvery and were the last serving of the day. The food was still delicious, fresh veg, lovely roast potatoes and nice rare beef. We were offered seconds as we were the last serving. All the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The pub was very busy with a play taking place which added to the atmosphere. We had a baby with a buggy with us and we were tight for space, however, this couldn't be helped and the landlord very quickly bought us a highchair and helped position the buggy for us. We had a very good experience here and would definitely visit again.

The Boulevard

East Wittering, Chichester, <20£
14/12/2018: It’s a good place but needs to be more environmentally conscious. We ate in and still had plastic cups and plastic straws for drinks and even when we ordered more drinks they put them in new plastic cups! Time to get rid especially it’s so near the beach!! Really nice staff and average food. Thank you.
13/12/2018: We visited twice for evening meals and were spoilt for choice with the menu and specials. The staff were polite, friendly and very efficient. All the portions were very generous and the food flavoursome and piping hot. A big range of drinks and puddings to round it all off if you can manage it. If we lived here we`d be putting serious weight on. Prices were very good and you could add more or less what you wanted.

Midhurst, Chichester, <20£
11/11/2018: Came here for lunch with my twin and we felt welcome as soon as we stepped inside. We ordered bacon, brie and cranberry toastie and avocado and bacon on toast. They were amazing and so tasty :) the best Gluten Free toastie we have ever had. Also tea and a green smoothie which were great too. Will definitely be back!
20/10/2018: Just what a Café should be. Friendly staff working as a team, home made cakes and other dishes excellent vfm. Midhurst seems to be struggling a bit with banks closing and empty shops but this café was a ray of sunshine on a wet day.

Spice Cottage

Westbourne, Chichester, <20£
01/12/2018: as always great food fresh spices and flavours , friendly service .fun atmosphere.and excellent value.thanks spice cottage .
21/11/2018: I have visited the place before with friends for a meal. Food and service are excellent. They don’t have a alcohol license but you can take your own and there is a co-op just across the road. This time I popped in to get a take away again the food was excellent and I didn’t have to wait long. They have a very extensive menu and everything is prepared using the freshest ingredients. I will be going back again soon and highly recommend.

The Woodmancote Pub

Westbourne, Chichester
16/12/2018: The Woodmancote comes with a good reputation but unfortunately the food was not up to expectations. All four people in our party had the roast turkey and were expecting a nicer meal than we received. The roast potatoes not very nice and tasted like they had been reheated, rather than freshly cooked. The rest of the meal was alright but nothing special and quite frankly not up to standard. The sweets however, where good and nicely presented. I would hesitate recommending this pub because of the sub-standard main meals, which is a shame because the decor is lovely and the staff friendly.
16/12/2018: We live abroad and always visit this fabulous pub; I had a lovely roast turkey lunch it was lush I can recommend this pub to anyone the food is lovely , staff really nice and prices reasonable . Well worth a visit!

The Berkeley Arms

Bosham, Chichester, <20£
25/11/2018: We regularly visit for Sunday Lunch with family. Always a warm welcome, freshly prepared food and attentive service. I would thoroughly recommend The Berkeley Arms. Brilliant!
16/11/2018: This was our first visit to the pub. We were meeting up with cousins from Colchester.
