Field & Fork Restaurant

Chichester North, Chichester
10/06/2019: Staff were excellent. I was not satisfied with my fish dish (hake) as in my opinion was soft and floury texture. My partner had the same and his fish was firm. They exchanged it . Our friend enjoyed his meal which was duck.
09/06/2019: It was lovely! The market menu was a real gem and not too expensive. Great service and we made it to the theatre in time.

The Crate and Apple

Chichester West, Chichester, 20-30£
13/06/2019: My daughter, mother and I all came to the Crate and Apple for lunch and enjoyed every bite! We loved the specials on the board (scallops and bruschetta) and of course the triple cooked chips as always with some of our favourite bar snacks! Good choice on the menu for all of us, especially the Greek salad which is perfect to share between us three :) and to finish off a very indulgent chocolate brownie!
10/06/2019: Stumbled across this place on a recent visit. Great food, service and ambiance. We both had the Cod Loin and it was delicious!

The Old Greenhouse

Fishbourne, Chichester, 45-60£
01/06/2019: I’ve been here Twice now roughly a year apart. I like eating out and on the second occasion a year later I could still remember what I had ordered a year previous which just shows what a great impression it made. The second visit was lovey almost as good as the first but venison with wild garlic pesto is always going to be a challenge to upstage. I really like the cosy atmosphere and the chef coming to talk about his dishes. I expect the experience is not for everyone but it really suited my pallet.
25/04/2019: The best Sunday lunch we've had in a long time, and we rolled away with extremely happy, full bellies. A gorgeous little restaurant that allows for friendly dining in a warm atmosphere. The hosts are light-hearted, good fun and I even managed to get a little helpful advice for my new business I'm starting. A real pleasure to meet such warm people. I just wish we lived closer to be able to visit more often!

The Sir Roger Tichborne

Plaistow, Chichester, <20£
17/06/2019: As a family, we visit a lot and this is one of our favourite restaurants - especially as they are one of a limited number of restaurants we trust to provide completely gluten-free food for my brother who is coeliac.
14/06/2019: We enjoyed a lovely meal here, good service and a picturesque garden with beautiful surroundings. We shall definitely return.

Ask Italian

Chichester North, Chichester, >100£
14/06/2019: Came here for lunch with my mum and my sister. Pre-booked a couple of weeks before and was given the worst table, right in front of the open kitchen. Restaurant was packed, tables crammed very close together and very noisy, we could barely hear each-other! There are definitely better restaurants in Chichester, I would not reccommend this one and will not be returning.
13/06/2019: Had a lovely meal, food was great and the waiters Jamie and Liv were so lovely and inviting. Would recommend

Cote Brasserie - Chichester

Chichester South, Chichester
17/06/2019: The Maitre D was very friendly and accommodating when my partner and I turned up without booking a table on Father's Day. Just like the restaurants in Reigate and Tunbridge Wells, the food was delicious. However, I was disappointed to discover that they only had 2 vegan main courses (risotto and lentil/mushroom) and 1 vegan dessert (sorbet). I became a vegan 6 months ago and since then I've learned to make many delicious vegan meals and desserts and flummoxed that a restaurant of this calibre wouldn't be more adventurous with its vegan options. The tables and chairs are too close together and couldn't help but feel tad like a sardine. I know profit is the name of the game but removing a few chairs and tables to create more comfortable surroundings wouldn't go amiss and I'm sure your patrons would appreciate it. My partner thought the portion sizes were too small and ordered 2 main courses to satisfy his appetite. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our food and I've increased the rating to 4 because our waitress was friendly and attentive.
15/06/2019: First time having an evening meal, it was amazing. Been for breakfast and lunch before. Very relaxed atmosphere, the food was excellent the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Asked where we would like to sit is a nice touch.

The Gribble Inn

North Mundham, Chichester
15/06/2019: Very popular, but a short wait for excellent food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We did not want a sandwich, but they do "Small Portions"
04/06/2019: Lacking staff in comparison to number of covers. So proficiency and slow service ensue . Cooking qualities vary and prices (eg extras) so billing vs experience is always askew.

Midhurst, Chichester, <20£
15/06/2019: We were looking for somewhere for an afternoon tea and Fitzcanes was perfect. Great tea and plenty in the pot. The coffee and walnut cake was excellent, moist and tasty. Very friendly service.
15/06/2019: First class friendly service at Fitzcanes . Bountiful bacon butty. Excellent eggs Benedict. Good atmosphere inside and quaint garden area. We shall return ...

The Berkeley Arms

Bosham, Chichester, <20£
10/06/2019: We popped in at lunchtime and were amazed at how friendly and welcoming the staff were. We were down on holiday and saw the pub the evening before as we drove in to Bosham.
09/06/2019: Brilliant local pub! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was brilliant (I recommend the homemade burger!). Will definitely be calling in again next time we are in the area.

Artie's Kitchen

Chichester South, Chichester
11/06/2019: Really good quality authentic tapas with pleasant friendly staff. Well worth a visit. We went at lunchtime and quite quiet think you should book if planning an evening visit.
11/06/2019: We were warmly welcomed by staff and offered seating to suit us. They remained friendly and attentive throughout the evening and clearly new the menu and ingredients. A relaxed and modern atmosphere with subtle background music.

Midhurst, Chichester
16/06/2019: This little cafe and deli is well worth a visit. The food was delicious and fresh. Coffee good too. Lovely atmosphere. Good prices. Thank you
11/06/2019: Number one in TripAdvisor and it’s clear to see why. Great coffees, friendly staff, unbelievable range of fillings, jacket potatoes, wraps, paninis, fresh cakes, artisan jams. Lovely

The Three Horseshoes

Harting, Chichester
08/05/2019: I had been wanting to visit the Three Horseshoes for a couple of years now but the stars never aligned so decided it would be one of my first ports of call on this trip. I know it’s famous for its views which may be it’s biggest selling point. However going in the winter it provides a fab, cosy and snug venue. Well executed good pub food and attentive service. A lovely homely pub feel.
07/05/2019: This is a superb pub to have lunch after a walk on the South Downs. The beers from the casks were impressive and the food was excellent. It's always a good sign when the fishmonger who was delivering the daily catch tells you in the car park that 'the food in this place is excellent'. The food is lovely and very much home made. Portion sizes are generous. The friendliness of everyone deserves special mention including the owner who gave our friends dog two sausage rolls! The decor is authentic old fashioned but homely. Tiled floors, wooden tables and a lovely beer garden with stunning views. Yes, a bit of a find this place.

The Elsted Inn

Harting, Chichester, <20£
09/06/2019: Had dinner here one midweek night, staying nearby in Bepton. The online menu had perhaps the best looking vegetarian options in the area. The food and cooking was superb. The chef even tweaked my wife's main to substitute a pesto for a cream based sauce at my wife's request. Service was top notch. And a real pub feel, not the gastropub hipster vibe found elsewhere. Just great food, great service, cozy surroundings. Would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended.
31/05/2019: Greeted with a warm welcome we were shown our room which was quaint, clean and comfy. Perfect location for going to a wedding at Southdowns manor. The menu food at elsted inn was absolutely stunning and Thais, Charlie and Otto the puppy took good care of us at breakfast time. All in all staying here was a fab experience and highly recommend to all.

The Boulevard

East Wittering, Chichester, <20£
09/06/2019: All you could want for kids. Lots choice for fussy kids. Good stop to fuel the family. It is very busy early on, around 6. But if you come in later on then there is more space.
05/06/2019: How disappointed we were when we went along for our favourite fish and chips Frozen fish and frozen chips what is going on ! Have you gone crazy why change something that is so good !!!!

The Fox Goes Free

Boxgrove, Chichester, <20£
16/06/2019: Nice pub five minutes from Goodwood Hotel. Good range of gin based drinks which pleased the ladies! We had a mezze between us to start with. It was fine but could have done with a bit more pitta bread. Mains were burgers, fish pie and risotto. All good. Service good (you order at the bar yourself). We had a couple of tasting desserts and the pannacotta. The tasting dessert was a sort of Eton mess and quite substantial but plenty of fruit. Pub was packed!
14/06/2019: After 20 years of visiting it now and again to meet up with friends or family for lunch I can honestly say, I have never had a bad meal.
