The George

Chichester North, Chichester, 20-30£
18/06/2018: Great food, great atmosphere, worth booking. Really tasty vegetarian options - the truffle mash is awesome. The nearby walk sounds good too, but I haven't done it yet. Just being done up in June 18.
13/06/2018: All good from the welcome to the cheerio. Friendly attentive serving team, tasty well-presented dishes, good atmosphere and busy with locals. A really good combination.

The Sir Roger Tichborne

Plaistow, Chichester, <20£
18/06/2018: The Sir Roger Tichbourne is a beautifully presented building mixing new and old architecture to create a lovely setting. We were able to relax, enjoy good food/wine and company.
18/06/2018: I went along with my family for a fathers' day meal. The party included the two fathers, myself, my daughter, her two young daughters and their other grandmother.

Riviera Restaurant

Selsey South, Chichester
17/06/2018: This place was soo busy, I took my husband there for Fathers Day ,actually he won a competition for a father's day lunch. Bit confusing where or what to do as was so busy. Waitress advised me , so lined up ,he had got a Super size plate , wow there was every meat you can think of, and abundance of veg . Very tasty food. You can't book here just turn up and find table. The people next door had a Ice cream sundae which looked lush. And the Gateaux looked inviting but I resisted
15/06/2018: Used to come here when I was a child on holiday with my grandparents. Visited now with my children. Service was great, very friendly & quick.

The Crate and Apple

Chichester West, Chichester, 20-30£
18/06/2018: The Staff very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, we both had the pork belly. We would definitely recommend it .
17/06/2018: A pub which has made an effort. There are parts near the bar which feel like a pub and parts which feel like a restaurant. The food is excellent and freshly prepared, which means it can take a while to get to the table. Service...

The Boulevard

East Wittering, Chichester, <20£
18/06/2018: Great little place- had lunch and dinner there sat 16th June. Good food and portions, excellent value for money, friendly staff. Will definately be back.
17/06/2018: Fantastic food served quickly by really friendly staff. We always recommend the Boulevard to friends when they are in the Witterings Chou can’t beat it!

18/06/2018: Awesome and Gluten free. Nice ambiance, great food and super attentive staff. I loved it and hope to go back soon
16/06/2018: Brilliant tapas bar in Chichester. Lovely staff and great food. We were just wandering around and wondering what to do for supper when we walked passed and then into Artie's. We good a lovely warm greeting and we're sat at a table immediately even though...

The Old Greenhouse

Fishbourne, Chichester, 45-60£
10/06/2018: We had heard about The Old Greenhouse from neighbours so being fairly new to the area we booked with a group of six friends eager to see what this mysterious book only small restaurant was all about.
09/06/2018: This is a very special dining experience!

Field & Fork Restaurant

Chichester North, Chichester
17/06/2018: This is bang next door to the pleasant Harbour hotel, tucked into a little side street. Dinner was a set menu of very good value, enough choice but not too much. Service was efficient and friendly and the meal was unusual and delicious. A great evening.
14/06/2018: The restaurant is tucked away off North St and adjacent to Priory Park. We booked for dinner at the last minute on the strength of the menu on the board outside. Wow! We were not disappointed. Interesting food combinations, and beautifully presented, made for a culinary delight. Don’t be fooled by the size of the portions, they are indeed substantial. Service was excellent and at no point did we feel rushed or pushed to leave at the end of the evening. We sat in the conservatory for dining which, although only a brick wall view, was a lovely place to dine at the end of a warm summer’s day. Thoroughly recommend.

Cockburn's Tea Rooms

Midhurst, Chichester
16/06/2018: Really nice coffees, exactly as we asked for (extra hot). The food we saw looked really very nice. Staff friendly. Baby changing available in ladies toilet, though no hooks to hang change bag.
24/04/2018: Visited for afternoon tea via a Groupon deal working out at a very reasonable £8.75 each. The tea room is very quaint and staff couldn't do enough for us, making us feel very welcome. A great selection of teas and the afternoon tea was more...

Ask Italian

Chichester North, Chichester, >100£
18/06/2018: We were visiting Chichester as part of our holiday in Sussex and called into Ask for a quick bite to eat. We were not disappointed. We were served by Arnaldo who could not have been more friendly or helpful. He took our order promptly and...
17/06/2018: Having moved to Chichester from London in September 2017, I starting visiting ASK in East Street. The food was good value and wine was offered not only by the glass, or bottle, but also in a carafe, ( which is an ideal quantity when alone...

The Hollist Arms

Easebourne, Chichester, 30-45£
17/06/2018: Very enjoyable Wednesday lunch, the battered pollock was excellent (very high fish:batter ratio), the usual delicious ales (Tim Taylor's Landlord, Dark Star Hophead amongst others). Very attentive staff, don't be put off by the manageress' rather effusive ""yes my darling?" How about you my lovely?"...
15/06/2018: We arrived at 5.25, only to find the hostel closed. By 5.30, when it opened, we were fifth in line to be served! Well worth the wait.

The Woodmancote Pub

Westbourne, Chichester
17/06/2018: Lovely little country pub, with good pub food. We visited today to have a father's day meal, my family had roast dinners, which were a good size and the plates went back empty! I had a pulled pork sandwich with some chips, again very nice!...
06/06/2018: I have eaten at the woodmancote for over 5 years on and off having mostly a great experience. Sunday lunch not a very enjoyable experience food wise. The roast warm not hot like it should be. The gravy bland and the peas cold. I did...

Hare and Hounds

Funtington, Chichester, 20-30£
17/05/2018: Went tues 14th may as usually there was a special on, normally Thai curry with a pint £15. Took some friends as they liked Thai curry. When I enquirer about specials was told everything was on menu, queried this and was again told everything on...
28/04/2018: Stopped in here for a lovely Fish and Chips dinner with my 93 year old mum. Food and service was very good. We were there before it got too busy later in the evening, probably about 6 pm. Lovely old building, but very clean and...

Crab & Lobster

Sidlesham, Chichester
17/06/2018: Nice atmosphere and the service was fine. The food was good with some interesting flavours and nice ideas but it was a bit too expensive for what it was. The profit margin in the wines is too high really. Overall a nice evening but I wouldn't return.
13/06/2018: I’ve reviewed the Crab and Lobster, a real favourite of our’s, with great enthusiasm previously but a recent lunch left me disappointed. Main courses - a Selsey crab gratin and a trout with watercress veloute - were excellent but starters were rather ordinary. Four good mussels weren’t enhanced by the addition of a small piece of pork belly; slightly undercooked red mullet with cherry tomatoes was okay but fell well short of the previous standards here and could have been improved very easily.

The Berkeley Arms

Bosham, Chichester, <20£
30/05/2018: Like others, we ate here on the recommendation of the host of the B and B where we were staying. It seemed a very friendly place, and the food was very good. It's straightforward pub grub, served nice and hot, and the waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. We actually walked from our B and B, but well worth a drive out if you're in the Bosham or Chichester area.
25/05/2018: I had already booked at another eatery not a million miles from The Berkeley Arms but upon arrival there at 1.15pm I was informed that they had run out of the Sunday Roast, I could not believe it.
