This was our first visit to the Chichester tearoom, visited Storrington many times. We were as delighted by this venue as the the first time we visited the starrington tearoom. We had coffee and a Joanna’s breakfast and an avocado breakfast. We’d highly recommend both.

Set, in what was the Old Butter Market in Chichester (for those old enough to remember) is now, Joanna’s Boutique Tea Rooms - whether it’s for breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea - you won’t just like it … you will LOVE IT!!! Superbly looked after by all the lovely staff, nothing is too much trouble, but don’t take our word for it … Enjoy it for yourselves!!! Our very best wishes to you all, at Joanna’s - Very Well done!!! Stephen P - Karen & Steven (Table 1)

I took my sister for Morning Tea to celebrate her birthday. We had avocado on toast, mini eggs royale, mini pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, Belgium waffles with blueberries and cream, granola and yogurt and finally croissants with jam. It was lovely and was served with tea or coffee. The service was fabulous and the staff were lovely. I would definately recommend trying Morning Tea or anything off the menu.

I visited with my wife for a cream tea, the tea , scones and jam were excellent as was the service. It has a nice atmosphere too. I will call again.

We went to Joanna’s for high tea to celebrate a friend’s birthday. A party of 8, and although we had a lovely time the high tea was a giant waist of money. Over priced and disappointing. No decf tea, no peppermint tea and no glass of fizz even though you’re paying £40! I won’t be going back and I certainly won’t be recommending it to anyone.

Went today for Mother’s Day afternoon tea and it was OUTSTANDING! The service was impeccable from every member of staff. My gluten free afternoon tea was the best I’ve ever had and my daughter and husband loved their afternoon teas too. Have done the rounds of the famous venues in London for afternoon tea and this knocked the spots off them! I see they do breakfast and lunch too and will not hesitate to come back and recommend to everyone I know. Big thank you for a great experience!

You do feel like you could be in the Ritz. The attention to detail makes this restaurant well worth a visit. We often pop in for morning coffee when in Chichester, last week we had lunch there. The menu is somewhat limited but most will probably find something suitable. Food well presented and tasty, Sophie was good fun and efficient. We’ll be back I’m sure, the bill is a lot more attractive than that of the Ivy and Cote. Happy to recommend for light lunch, we have yet to try breakfast.

Visited because we have been wanting to try the afternoon tea. We both had the afternoon tea starting with a glass of Nyetimber followed by an English tea. Everything was delicious however, personal preference, I found the buttercream on the brownie and cake too sweet but it did not detract from the overall experience. Service was great and location is beautiful.

12 of us from the office went for lunch to celebrate a colleague's maternity leave. We had a lovely long table which they allowed us to decorate with balloon and flowers beforehand. The food was amazing! Every single one of us cleared our plates. Fresh ingredients, beautifully prepared. There was a mixture of flatbread salads, sandwiches with fries, caesar salad and an afternoon tea. Absolutely delicious, we all agreed we would return.

Came here with my kids, we had pancakes which were nice! So big that I couldn’t finish it all. The free pancake deal through half term was a nice touch. Food took a little while to come out but was tasty when arrived :)

So glad we found this. Absolute gem of a place. Decor and toilets spotless with welcoming and attentive staff. Inventive and varied menu - perfect for breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea! Had the Chicken Caesar salad that was outstanding, and the Welsh rarebit which was excellent. The overall experience was most satisfying and we have resolved to visit more often.

Well we’re do I start 🤔, from the outstanding decor to the most friendly staff. What a beautiful place, so bright and welcoming. I also run a Tearooms , so thought I would pop along to see just what it is like. Outstanding, just what a place should be like. From the yummy sandwiches to the delicious cakes there is nothing I can fault with this place or food. Highly recommended, and I will definitely be back to try the lunch menu out. A big well done to you all, amazing.

I rarely write a review. However on this occasion it would be remiss to not do so. While I sat in Joanna's I tried to think of the perfect adjective to describe it. After much thought I found it...exquisite! Here is a venue that by putting in thought and attention to detail has got it just about perfect. The warm sage green decor gives off a calm and tranquil vibe. It is an oasis in a bustling town. The staff are polite, well trained and look chic in the beautifully tailored sage green uniform. Such a nice change from the usual industry black. The Raspberry fondant fizz cocktail was a so unusual and tasty that I wish I had taken an Uber so I could have a second one! The afternoon tea menu was the reason I had chosen Joanna's in the first place and it did not disappoint. They have moved away from the typical ham and mustard and salmon and cream cheese on the sandwich selection, have added in a warm savoury selection and have been clever in adding things like a pineapple pavlova instead of the usual berry one as well as light and fluffy scones with the traditional accompaniments. All in all it was a fantastic way to while away a gray winter afternoon in a venue that felt like a warm hug with delectable food to enjoy. If you are in Chichester and looking for a bite to eat don't miss Joanna's!

Wow! A hidden gem! What a beautiful, elegant place to eat. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. The decor was stunning. Reasonable priced breakfast and a great size portion. We will definitely be returning.

Very disappointing. It took some time for them to come over for our order, and it felt we hadn't been noticed. Our order was soup, which my friend said was delicious. My other friend had a salad, which was small, considering it's price. I had Welsh rarebit. Which was ok but nothing special at 10.95 pricey. The decor is very pretty. Overall poor service and disappointing food.

This cafe is our go-to when I visit my girlfriend at uni. We always get a vanilla iced matcha and some form of sweet treat, which never disappoints. The place is lovely and the staff are extremely welcoming!

Totally nearly missed it however glad we popped in. Lovely little cafe with a nice outdoor seating area. Both had ham and cheese panini and they were first class. Young guy who served and looked after us had perfect customer service and the coffee was amazing. Great find and will be back south !

Popped in to use the loo but it looked so clean and bright I wanted to stay! Staff were really nice and helpful. Pleasant environment and very clean, ladies were just opening up and place was visited within the first ten minutes but still plenty of space. At a glance I could see they sold panini and ice creams, and was way traditional tea room.
