Michael Courtney Hog Roasts in Chichester

We could not fault the professional and excellent service provided by Michael Courtney and his outstanding family team. Superb BBQ and attention to detail. We could not have asked for more.

We used Michael Courtney Events as caterers for our daughters wedding at Grittenham Barn on the 9th November. The team were there the day before to help set up and dress the tables as well as preparing for hog roast we had chosen for our meal. Being a full service catering company they provided all the plates, cutlery and glasses for the day. Their staff served our drinks immediately after the ceremony and then set up and stocked the bar ready for our late afternoon and evening celebrations. We chose a selection of canapes which they served and which were delicious. Our excellent hog roast was served to us on platters straight to our tables and this was accompanied by stuffing, roasted vegetables, cole slaw and garlic & herb mini potatoes. Their staff kept our wine glasses topped up and ensured everything ran smoothly. After the meal their team cleared everything away and moved tables around ready for the evening. Sam & Neil ran the bar in the evening and worked extremely hard to keep our guests well supplied with the alcohol that we provided. At the end of the evening they stayed on to ensure everything was taken away and the venue left tidy. When we arrived back the next morning to ensure everything had been removed all that was remaining was our unused alcohol and two big tupperware containers of left over hog roast. I have no hesitation in recommending them and would like to thank them whole heartedly for helping to make my daughters wedding celebrations so memorable.

We can't recommend this company enough. They were so helpful when we were arranging our party. Leon and Sam who came on the day were so friendly, we felt like they were old friends. The pig was seasoned & cooked to perfection. We would definitely use them again and thank them for being a big part of our day.

I have never been disappointed in the quality of the meat. A lot of it is locally sourced. Friendly staff who have been there for years. Highly recommend it.

Reservamos Michael y su equipo a preparar un asado para nuestro hog 40 aniversario de boda recientemente. El catering parecía sin esfuerzo y nosotros y nuestros invitados quedaron muy impresionados por la comida deliciosa, servida de manera tan profesional. Así como el cerdo más tierno que he probado nunca, había una deliciosa selección de ensaladas y encurtidos, y nuestros clientes vegetarianos también estaban bien. Sin duda el uso sus servicios de nuevo y están dispuestos a recomendar a mediados de Sussex Hog asado.

Michael Courtney catered for our wedding reception with a very varied barbeque menu. We didn't have the hog roast but we were exceptionally pleased with the meat and additional items they provided. They were really friendly and nothing was a problem. They were also very clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend them again and would book them again for a large event. Also a very good butcher!

I attended a hog roast by this butchers they were fantastic staff. The hog was really tasty along with all salads rolls etc that were served with it. They also supplied the bar to go with it . For a large family or corporate get together I would definitely recommend then . They can alter the menu to suit you ie hog roast . Bbq or a mixture of both . If you need a party of large or small size give them a call

what an excellent service, promptly set up, friendly and courteous staff, amazing food with the best crackling you'll ever taste, salads and bread rolls lovely and fresh, spotlessly and discretely cleaned up and away, and at an amazing price too, wouldn't have been able to feed the masses the same without spending four times as much on a buffet.. ... would thoroughly recommend!! x

I cannot review again on the Hog Roast because I have had not the chance and the pleasure to have one again cooked and manage by M. Courtney Butchers The last one, I repeat was fabulous.. Since that memorable experience, I visit this Butchers' shop regularly which has a display of a festival of wonderful different types of meats and a large palette of exquisite cheese The team is always full of advises with a large smile !!

I was invited this past Summer to a big party celebration by some friends... It is only few days ago they mentioned to me that the "Operator for the Hog Roast was Michael Courtney family butchers of Midhurst ... My review is deferred by almost 6 months but the test of this lovely feast is still printed vividly in the memory of my test buds !!! ... The Hog Roast was divine, the service impeccably managed in an extremely clean style of hygiene and professional competence..despite the 100 + guests. Bravo ( a bit late now ) to this Traditional Family Butchers of Midhurst who are so good in their meat craft business and always do their job with a smile !!! An Happy and fussy guest ..

They really know what they are doing. Fresh meat, slow cooked over coals. Yum yum yum. The hog and lamb roasts are outstanding.
