What as shame the chips are cooked in rancid fat. I called this evening for a snack thinking the fat might have been changed since my last disappointing visit but no just an awfull lot worse never ate the chips slung them in the bin . Wont be calling again.

We were driving back to Inverness in the Highlands of scotland, after spending a week in scarborough and passed this small coffee shop. I was absolutely desperate for a cup of tea, so my partner ran in quickly to get some hot water for me so I could make one in the car since I had my own tea bags and milk with me lol He said the 2 women that were working were very helpful and lovely. Very good customer service and a nice wee place to sit and have a hot drink. Thank you for your help. We visited on 20th March about 1430.

Always a vibrant atmosphere in the wine bar, they've put on some decent new ale revenant an Irish beer Brenda's came into play as the Guinness shortage meant an alternative was sought. The beer was slightly more sweet and chocolaty than Guinness and I preferred it tbh. Then they put on a barrel of .urphys which was also most lovely. Always good music, all sport on TV and its generally the busiest pub being open from 10am to midnight 7 days a week. The bar staff run by Kieran the manager are always polite and courteous and they're dog friendly with pool table, bar football table, 2 dart oards plus interactive darts with offers on drinks promotions to boot. A fun atmosphere for all. Highly recommended.

A warm welcome from landlady Rachel at this traditional Farndale pub. Well kept ales on tap and a decent Rose wine slaked a thirst on arrival followed by a plump Sirloin Steak and trimmings and a plate of crispy scampi to keep us fed. Excellent value for money and all the traditions of top class inn-keeping can be found here in the glorious setting that is Farndale.

Just out for a drive on a sunny Easter Sunday when we come across this pub and how lucky we were, sat in a lovely sunny beer garden watching the world go by, the pub itself was very nice inside, we didn’t have lunch however we will return for food sometime as it look so nice and everyone coming into the garden afterwards all said how nice it was, also I like it that food is served till late I think you can eat on a Sunday until 7pm, not many do that. Definitely recommend.

Stayed overnight with a couple of friends and had a great time. The rooms we had were smallish but absolutely fine. The shower was cubicle was small and there was a bit of temperature fluctuation, but plenty of hot water. Lots of nice little touches, chocolates, dressing gowns, sleep masks etc. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. We ate in the orangery, a lovely oak framed room, nicely decorated. The food was excellent, good sized and delicious starters, (The filo wrapped braised cheek and the leek and brie tart). For the mains, three of us had the steak pie which was superb, lovely shortcrust pastry filled with lots of tender steak. Our other friend had the beef cheek, which was melt in the mouth tender and also delicious. There was unfortunately no chance of managing a desert although they looked lovely. All in all a very nice break. The only minus point was that our friends were in room five and had a disturbed night sleep because the cellar cooler was under their bedroom window and was running all night.

Champagne afternoon tea- £39.50, very disappointing and was a treat for my mum on our arrival in Helmsley. Tea was served using teabags although strainers on the table for loose leaf-odd! No tea menu offered to look at. Bread did not appear to be very fresh, dry. Very poor presentation overall. We left most of it although had it boxed up as a bit embarrassing, . It is a real shame as nice venue and nice staff. As a critique I would suggest looking at the Assembly rooms Norwich, much the same price for afternoon tea but completely different class and a lovely afternoon experience. Missing a trick here Feversham, you could really make your mark and perhaps up your footfall with a bit of research and revamp. Sorry to leave negative review, but had to lie to my mum about the cost as no comparison to other afternoon teas we have had and being totally British did not have heart to complain as we were the only customers in the Weathervane room at the time and young waitress very polite.
