Bits 'n' Pizzas in Ryedale

Rang up at 11pm and got the loveliest woman taking orders, so helpful, polite and organised, I ordered the food and the same lady delivered it to the door, she knew her addresses, no messing around, the food was gorgeous, hot and freshly cooked, and considering it was so late I didn’t expect anything flash but I was surprised, the 1/4 Hawaiian Burger and potato wedges were banging….

Ordered a Vegetable Kebab in a Pitta and what arrived was what appeared to be an entire jar of red cabbage, half a tomato and an onion in a very soggy/wet piece of bread (since it had absorbed all the liquid from the red cabbage). Ended up in the bin, was in edible. Expected some form of vegetable in it considering the name and not just a ridiculous amount of soggy cabbage. Garlic bread was very greasy and stone cold. Family said Burgers were okay, as were the fries but they arrived cold. Used to love ordering from here, but something seems to have changed. Not worth £30 odd quid, probably won't order from here again.

Ordered 2 pizzas last night which were inedible. The dough was so thick it still wasn’t cooked in places. Had to throw most of it away.

£22.40 For doner meat and chips and a 11 inch Garlic bread which was no we’re near 11 inch’s Avoid this place total rip off!!!

Pizza spot and kebab was 1 of the best I have had, dont live in the area but when we stay around here it's the only place I will use

I had to give one star unfortunately,1 hour later ,no delivery,rang up,they said they had rung me a few times,I don't think so ! then said they had got the wrong number and wrong address, Don't even bother people, Pathetic excuses , obviously can't rate their food ,this time round, however,last year delivery and food was excellent.Are they under new management????

I ordered at 11:30 and they said they would text me to get my address as they didn’t know where it was and it’s now an hour later no text no food and it’s closed so I can’t ring to see where it is. Why take my order and address if you aren’t going to deliver.

i'm not happy at all my bf and i got a kebab and a mixed meat wrap £37 that is far to much for starters my bf bought it and didn't say anything till he was back home then i opened the food up its freezing cold we got 2 salads instead of chips and the garlic mayo isnt even garlic mayo im mortified words cant describe the anger i am feeling

I had Large Mix kebab.. I was really huge and tasty.They start to sell Nutella pizza.My kids tried and loved it 10 out of 10…

Can't understand any of the negative reviews on here. People taking the orders are friendly and efficient. Deliveries are the same. Food is fresh, hot and really tasty. Nothing is greasy or badly cooked. Cannot fault Bits n Pizzas.

The delivery driver doesn’t bother to look at house numbers and tries to deliver the the wrong house. After him ringing our doorbell at 10 minutes past midnight, I complained and the manager didn’t care and was rude and said our house number wasn’t visible despite it being inches away from the driver (apparently the delivery driver was her husband). Hint.. use a torch next time so you can see the numbers in the dark! We since have our house number on show in 4 locations, one is reflective so when he shows up at night, the car lights illuminate the number yet tonight, he did it again! He walked past all 4 house number signs! After realising it was the wrong house again, he stomped over my garden and plants, crunching as they broke. No point ringing up to get the worst customer service again and no apology. Please tell your delivery driver to have some respect for people’s property and use a torch!

Treat kids to pizza whilst on holiday food tasty and hot. Friendly service. Chilli sauce tasty. Down side cash only and no parking and a little pricey. Would go again.

Asked for a large donner kebab on naan. Guy said yes, got the order and was on a dry crumbly pitta. Would not recommend. Not worth it.

Ordered a tuna pizza , came raw , didn’t wanna complain because the manager was rude when ordering so couldn’t be bothered with the hassle when I’m on holiday with the family. Wouldn’t recommend at all , honestly worst pizza I’ve had in a long time. Save yourself the money.

Ordered several pizzas, cheezy chips and two chicken kebabs - all top notch. Loved the chicken kebabs - tons of fresh salad, and lovely chilli sauce. Kids all loved the pizzas - they insisted on eating what was left the next day! Staff were really nice, place is just off "market place" and fairly easy to find.

What can I say....absolutely disgusting pizza. It smelt gone off when we opened it. It was swimming in horrible cheese and the chicken looked gone off. We brought it back and I've never done that in my life. It was £16, and inedible. They refused to give me any money back and just became aggressive, totally dismissive and abusive. Crowding me and my little girl and following us. Avoid at all costs. Absolute daylight robbery. It ended up in the bin where it belonged.

Got a pizza from here chicken was brown/black. Left most of it but the 2 slices I did have caused me to get food poisoning. I was I bed for a full day with sickness. Hygiene rating of only 3 stars wish I knew that before I went. Please guys don't get food from here

Ended up in bin where it belongs and I now have a 6 year old throwing up from food poisoning. Staff rude, aggressive and have zero customer service. They do not display their food hygiene score as I have since found that they only scored a 3. Avoid. £16 literally in the bin.

Grease is the word. That literally was the worst thing I’ve ever not eaten. Vile! Grease was just running off it! No wonder kebabs get a bad rep if that’s what Yorkshire has to offer! Went in the bin and might aswell flushed 30 quid down the pan! I wished I’d taken some pictures. Soz.

I would recommend it lovely food me and my brother in law order 2 pizzas chips and onion rings could not believe how much we got great value for money different order again 🤤

Went heat and orders cheesey chips and a garlic burger with onions the chips where crispy and full and the burger was up there greatest of all time 10 out of 10 would go again

Over the last 6 to 8 years, my wife & I must have stayed in Pickering at least 10 times and whenever we do, we always treat ourselves to a pizza takeaway from Bits ‘n’ Pizza. We generally order a 12” thin veggie and a 12” thin also, utterly delicious tomato & herb garlic bread (you must try it!). They are all so well made and so very tasty that it’s one of the many things we look forward to when our holiday in Pickering is approaching. I wish we had a pizza takeaway place like this near to where we live. On this occasion, 9 of us stayed for my wife’s 50th and I’d told her family that the plan was for us to get an order for our first night after everyone had driven around 2 hours in the evening; adding that they wouldn’t be disappointed. It was the biggest order I’d ever got from the shop and having got everyone’s order a couple of weeks in advanced, I walked in with a list, which they were happy to take off me to make it easier. They appeared unusually quiet for a Friday night but I arranged a pick-up time for about an hour later; giving us time to have a couple of beers at a local pub. The staff, as usual, were very friendly and it was as efficient as ever; with the order ready for collection on time and with everyone’s order spot on. Every single member of my wife’s family commented on how it was the best pizza they’d ever had; with a couple saying also that it was even better than their favourite local place back home. Tip: If you don’t like deep-base pizzas, then you must ask for thin. Once or twice over the years I have forgotten that… Thanks again guys for a lovely evening meal!

The best pizza I've ever had! Beautiful base, crispy yet soft. They were so generous with the extra jalapenos topping I asked for on my margarita pizza.

Lasagne was burnt and smelt disgusting i wouldn't have given that to a pet. Swimming in oil and not edible, pizza were ok, but after spending £32 and my son not eating the lasagne, I will not be coming here again.

Pizza was well cooked and served quickly. The bolognese had a strange taste though

Awful take away. Forgot part of the orders So gad to return. Kebab pitta was soaking so the bread was really soggy and chips tasted awful like they had been fried on old fat. I’d steer clear of it.

Nice pizza - had the meatfeast - and really liked the fries as they were done crispy. The only downside was location, you either parked on double yellows up the kerb as it's a narrow street or park round the corner and walk a couple of minutes. They were busy which always tells me the pizzas are good!

Got two pizzas and they were spot on

Always amazing, we order from here at least twice a month, probably more! ;-) best chicken kebab around, the marinade is delicious, as is the house chilli sauce and french fries. Many thanks Dave and team!

Ordered takeaway told price when delivered price was more then the owner came round asking for the money once we ate the pizza one was wrong just a joke not going to be wasting my time and money with these again

Ordered to the local premier inn quite late at night, the lady on the phone was lovely and very helpful. Food arrived very very quickly and everything was hot and tasty. Thankyou!

Typical takeaway attitude, love ya till orders taken, messed my order up twice by not delivering my cheesy chips which was sent 20 mins later 🤔 and then after ordering chicken shish sent me chicken and LAMB shish which when questioned they answered i ordered chicken shish which is chicken and lamb kebab? Ordered lots of different things, pizzas burgers and kebabs. Delivered to our holiday Lodge 15 mins away at the time promised and the food was hot and delicious. Recommended

I really don't understand some of the reviews on Here I I have been using this place for many many years and have never once had a problem. what I have noticed is that a lot of these bad reviews seem to be coming from people from outside the area for example on holiday which strangely seems to be the case with many other businesses in the town. Very friendly staff but wow, never had a pizza as poor in my life and at £7 for a vegetarian calzone, I think we've been had!! Raw onion throughout the pizza, lots of black olives making it taste extremely strange, undercooked dough....I mean come on! A pizza shop should know how to turn out a decent pizza.. we won't be back again!! Also, a so called large doner kebab was found to be luke warm with very little meat and congealed garlic butter.. There really is no excuse for this considering it is meant to be food that the staff are very familiar with.... Really was a joke/rip off and the 2 start rating is purely for the friendly attitude of the chap serving!

Not the best I've had but there's not much choice in the area ordered a calzon tasted more dough then anything The king size kebab was a large size compared to any local city and cost £9 but I've given the 3 stars as the kebab was nice

This was my first time ordering from here the staff where friendly but the food was all cold and my pitta bread on my kebab had a sour taste and my drinks wasn't in my oder. I'm sorry but I will not be ordering here again

Ordered pizzas whilst on holiday at flamingo land with my family, 11 people ordered a variety of different meals. All the pizzas where burnt, almost broke our teeth on the crust. And the topping way incinerated The paramos were absolutely shocking, spent £106.00 and couldn't eat anything other the free garlic bread. Rang to complain about the order and the customer service is was absolutely appalling. Very arrogant and argumentative with us, hung up and refused to answer our calls . Please don't order from here its a joke.

On holiday outside Pickering. Bits n pizzas had the best star rating. In reality the pizzas were average at best. Crust too thick. Additionally they got my order wrong and we were too far away to go back and change it. Aslo the free cheesy garlic bread was not very garlicky or very cheesy. So it was ok but felt overpriced for what we got.

Garlic mayo was very weak not alot garlic chips didnt even get salt on them and keebab was just tasteless.gave it a second chance but still not worth it one bit.disapointing

Ordered from here while away on a short break. Unfortunately for us has to be one of the worst takeaways we have ever had. Ordered kebabs. The kebabs where tasteless, swimming in gease and pitta bread was like a sponge. I don't know how it got 4/5 stars in my opinion. Would be one to miss.

My real reason for using this take away was accidental i had taken my dad to the hospital for lazer treatment and we were all hungry i couldnt get a car park at my usual take away and now i will be making this my usual take away

When you go on hoilday you hope you find a takeaway in the village or town you are staying in. This is that place. The fire chicken was perfect and everything else we tried was first rate. A highly recommended place to eat.

Bought the 2 pizza deal and a garlic bread and chips as extras. Spent the morning being sick and on and off the toilet. Including my little boy. Not exactly great as we're away on a family holiday. Wasn't the best.

Brilliant pizzas huge selection of food well worth the price would definitely use again when in this lovely little part of god's own country good thing for anyone from the Boro is that these guys do parmos

Called for pizzas, one of our nights we stayed in Pickering, service was excellent and very friendly, lovely pizza, enjoyed very much, would call again when we visits Pickering again.

After a stressful afternoon, the quick delivery was much appreciated. Priced reasonably, we had wraps, burgers, pizza, all were lovely. Would recommend to try it.

Great food, a fresh tasting pizza, kids n I loved it. Definitely recommend if staying at flamingoland. Only problem is £3.50 delivery charge for a small journey is quite expensive, and for some reason can't deliver to your caravan, which is a big ORDER STOPPER..

We stayed at rocklands lodges and we found the menu in our room I'm so pleased my husband decided to order from here absolutly beautiful pizzas we could not fault our food pizza base was to die for gorgeous best pizza we had in a while definatly recommend this place

We visited last week to order pizza to take away and found the service good and the pizza tasty. Very extensive pizza menu, would definitely recommend it.

We used this one night and the food was ok, a bit pricey for what we got. The kebab was very oily and not the best.

I have used Bits 'n' Pizzas for many years and the quality is always very good. This is unlike other local outlets that vary greatly from month to month. It is clear that Dave takes great pride in his business.

Always stop after a night out or during if it's a late one. Best takaway in town by far. Staff always friendly and nice. Donnermeat and chips are spot on!! Can recommend stuffed crust Pizza omg amazing!!!!!!

Huge choice on menu, everything we had was great, didn't expect much from a takeaway, but was pleasantly surprised, staff all great, and even recognised us later in week, if we stay in Pickering again this will definitely be our takeaway choice.

After a 3sucsesful military tours of kirkbymoorside he settled in his native ptown to make his fortune, during a 10year career he founded Google, Microsoft, brazzers, faketaxi and starred in the hit US TV show Big bang theory as 'Sheldon cooper/penni'. Unfortunately Dave took to drugs and lost his fortune he now owns Bits N Pizzas (ironically abrieviates to BNP). I would definitely recommend a pizza at Dave's.
