Speedy Pepper in Ryedale

The person who left the bad review yesterday I’ve actually got your order of chips and cheesy chips. So their reply is incorrect. I didn’t order them but ended up with them.. again I also didn’t receive my drinks.

Drove 15mins to get this and half my order is missing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so annoyed. Won’t be driving back out for it. Sort it out. No chips, no cokes???? No sauces????? Waste of £20. Absolute JOKE.

The staff were very pleasant and friendly. My husband had a donner kebab which he thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely go to speedy pepper again. I had the chicken parmo and it was disappointing, decidedly average at best. Having said that, I would go again and try something different from the extensive menu, just not a parmo.

Just ordered a chicken kebab and a Donna kebab and all I can say is wow, fries, side salad, sauces, and a garlic bread with it. Everything was perfect. My husband and I couldn't eat all of it as there was so much.

Unfortunately, we don’t live nearby so have only visited twice. The pizza is totally amazing- the best we have ever tasted. Also very reasonably priced.

I rung and lady said do online, I ordered all good. Received pizza. Was excellent certainly use speedy again. Review from local resident.

Beautiful pizza, when we went to the Yorkshire balloon festival, we didn't want to waste money there so we went to this nice pizza shop just in a local village. Nice people. We got free garlic bread.

Ordered and order was sent incorrect after a long wait, was ordered online, and despite having it in front of me, she told me I was wrong, was rude and put the phone down. So left with no food. Disgusting customer service!

Nice food, but other place always give freebies, if run out what they advert still you got something....looks better worth for your money. They unfair.

We were staying locally to Malton and decided to order a couple of pizzas to take-away. Speedy Pepper offers an extensive range of options so we could both choose something that really matched what we wanted. There are three sizes of pizza - it didn't say what size they were but we opted for medium and that proved to be just right for us. Not so huge we couldn't finish them but we also weren't left hungry. The toppings were fresh and generous - as good as any take-away pizza we've ever had.

Ordered a large delivery of £50+ pounds, only to find a Moth in our fries. Absolutely not happy with their hygiene and quality assurance whatsoever. While I acknowledge that a replacement serving was sent out very quickly, I'd point out there's a difference between accepting a solution and being happy with one. I appreciate the effort put in to correcting the issue, genuinely. But having worked in the food industry for many years myself I know there to be certain standards and safeguards in place. While I understand the workplace is a fast paced environment the expectation would be to slow down and quality check. Better a job be done right that be rushed.

I have used Speedy Pepper for home delivery for over 20 years both in Malton & Broughton, but now they refuse to deliver. I don’t mind paying for delivery, but that’s not an option, I have now changed to Pizza Master in Norton, who are happy to deliver. The Pizzas are good and for a small charge they will deliver to Broughton. Your loss Speedy Pepper.

I used to order every takeaway I had from this place, but I just simply cannot trust the quality, drivers, or how up and down the service is. Sometimes it’s superb, but that’s rare. The amount of times I’ve ordered food for it to come smashed in the box because of a takeaway driver clearly driving round corners too fast, or you’ve forgotten food, brought the wrong order, or just brought a plain parmo when I’ve ordered something specific. It’s a joke. I do NOT pay the expensive price that it is to have the treat of a takeaway for it to not be what I ordered. The whole outlook of Speedy Pepper needs re-designing. From website, to the attitude of your staff, the quality of food, and the general service. I used to put a lot of money a month into my fav takeaway, I simply won’t order anymore. I’ve also ordered food well before the restaurant closed, and still had my money taken from me and food never arrived because my order wasn’t seen? You have no idea how it feels after a long busy day of working and working late, your only option is a takeaway and for it to just either be wrong, bad quality food (chicken and beef stay away from), or not show up. It puts you off ever ordering again. This review comes from years of bad service, there’s no trust, so I highly advise not to put your hard earned money in Speedy Peppers pocket. Please look at the quality of the chicken you’re using for your parmos, or how long you’re cooking it - from it being fatty/grizzly to DRY as heck. It’s sad to see a good takeaway go so downhill!

Ordered a delivery online and rang to confirm and then they said that they cant deliver and that I’d have to pick it up when I don’t drive and it’s a half an hour walk away they said a refund would take over 5 working days I got an email confirming the order was on its way so it’s lucky I called to double check, not the first time iv had bad experiences with then as before when I rang to make an order for 2 half pound dinner cheese burgers and when I got them they were quarter pound cheese burgers with no dinner meat salad or sauce also asked for 1 portion of cheese chips and got normal chips with chip spice on

Delicious pizza and fantastic service!

One of the best take aways in malton the food is well cooked and the delivery is very quick. They do one of the nicest chicken parmo i have ever had, the starters are great especially the prawn salad it is huge.

Where to start worse kebab I've ever had, it was DIY, a full pitta bread (uncut) & placed on top of the meat, a tray of salad to add yourself and yoghurt raita which they state is garlic yoghurt (no garlic in it whatsoever) raita is not garlic sauce who in their right mind has runny riata on a kebab? and the salad included onion when we asked for no onion due to allergies and to top it Al off the kebab meat was cold, will not be back

Plenty of choices for pizzas. We ordered the BBQ meat special. Waited for our order outside due to Covid. The pizza was hot and tasty. Just what we needed after an evening out.

Dont trust their website ordering. It will cut you off then say that they've shut it due to too many orders being received. Usually when you order online you get an email confirmation but nothing as the site wouldn't allow the order to be placed and kept loading then screen cut to the not accepting orders type message. They then tried to deliver and say they tried to ring you but didn't get an answer so how they changed an order that didn't go through and just delivered! All very strange. Driver was rude and hostile which made things worse

Would have scored higher if the owner and staff were more friendly.

wrote a good review right before i checked my burger that was MISSING ingredients and was slapped together like they had 3 seconds to do it. rewriting my review definitely. called when i got home and said it was missing things and they said they were shut and rudely hung up, called back when i next could (the day after that) and got told “you should’ve rung at the time not days after” well i did ring at the time and the next time i could. don’t trust this place, the food itself isn’t too shabby but the staff are awful and they miss things out all the time. gave them the benefit of the doubt as they missed the same ingredients on previous orders but no thankyou i will not be returning. your customers pay your wages, treat them with respect and get their orders right. and if you don’t then solve the problem it be rude. 0* from me and the people i live with.

Good food, at a good price I suppose. You get what you pay for. I would eat there every day but hey... I would go back for sure.

Ordered and paid online, after waiting an hour and ten minutes for our food it arrived cold and wrong, cheese missing from chips on a nugget meal, missing another portion of chips very disappointing!! Last few times we have used you, a couple of things were wrong but let it go, in the hope it was just a one off! My partner called and the only thing they said was it's busy, not good enough really when you have paid good money upfront, you wouldn't wait that long in a busy restaurant, you'd get up and go!! It seems when you pay upfront your put to the end of the cue as they already have your money......to be fair they did offer to bring the missing items but didn't fancy waiting another hour! Heated the food up as my kids were hungry, I have now given up with you speedies and won't be using you again!

Always get good service and the delivery is quick, it’s nice they stay open until late . The chilli cheese burger is tasty and the pizzas are good. I would recommend.

Last few times our food has been delivered cold gone down hill

The takeaway arrived on time, was hot and fresh. My burger was in a fresh floured bap with fresh crisp lettuce and onion. Plus it was flame grilled so tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend, also it has 5 star food rating. Will defo use again

Best Pizza i have tried around uk . Toppings are good quality. I have now moved to suffolk. no where around here does pizza like u guys . next time i am there i will try ur parmesan also . I use to eat pizza from around 15 -16 years ago. Still same owners and still busy . this already tells that u r no1 Malton .

Great service, nice topping, quick delivery but I need 2L of water afterwards......a bit too much salt.

We ordered food, said we would come back in 10 minutes. We waited and waited, asked how we wanted our food and then waited and waited. 40 minutes in total and finally had our food. Not a good impression for speedy pepper. Chips ended up soggy as they had sat on the side in a box, kebab was edible, probably better if we had been a bit drunk. Sober, not a tasty meal. Burger was cheap and again chips soggy.

Great pizza after a night out. Don't take cash card though?

Lovely hot pizza, comes in 3 sizes - small was just right for my appetite with some garlic bread which was equally good. Would recommend!

1hour 45minutes to get my order right of pizza and cheesy chips which took 2 attempts to get right even after giving a £1 tip to the first delivery boy, terrible service

Gone down hill dramatically ,scratty little bits of chicken, used to be decent size pieces, price of them you could buy a cooked chicken for less and the marinade has changed not for the better!

Since we stared using this takeaway we’ve stopped using any other pizza/kebab place in town. The food is consistently good and prepared quickly. The staff are friendly and helpful. I can recommend this above any other takeaway pizza/kebab shop in Malton & Norton. Prices are fair and the food is always hot and fresh. Would recommend.

great after a sesh with the mandem. however my friend had the special ability to drop it twice on the floor then proceed complain about its slidey texture.

I live in Manchester and I have tried so many takeaways and restaurants however this one was one of the most horrible and expensive places you could come cross the food quality is as rubbish as the price jus be carful about this place to not rip you off

I have been using Speedy Peppers for 8 Years on a delivery service, and have never had any problems, and are a real friendly bunch. Real quality of food and service. Recommend to all in and surrounding area of Malton.

Forget any of the pizza restaurants in town, Speedy Peppers pizzas will beat them hands down. I'm amazed at how much toping is added every time, wide choice of pizzas too.

My partner and I had pizza delivered from here one night and the pizza was good, and still warm. The pizza's tasted good and we were happy with the service we got. The pizza's were also reasonably priced.

Have called here a few times after a few beers but have now twice had stone cold food. Cold burger and chips the first time and cold kebab tonight . Shan't be coming again , would rather eat a beer mat.

Order arrived on time took 25mins as stated on the phone, food was cold pizza base on all 3 pizzas half raw , terrible distribution of ingredients for the toppings , warm coke , cheesy chips was more like cold old chips reheated from night before with a dollop of greaseproof cheesy paper on top , what a complete embarrassment of a food place , no love no care and no attention whatsoever , sign of the times I guess , place should be investigated by the food standards agency clearly they do not have any standards at all , its unacceptable!

Wouldn't even bother to order. Ordered and waited over 45 minutes before accepting the fact it wasn't going to arrive. Person on the phone was very rude and unhelpful. The food isn't even worth waiting for anyway.

Worst shish kebab ever meat dry and wasn't even what we ordered!! Got half someone else's too won't be going again ! Shame as last time I went it was lovely

Great pizzas, good kebabs, not to badly priced, wish they had a just eat website page and took card payments would order ALOT more if they did, parmo's aren't very good to be honest, all in all its a good takeaway if you have cash

we visited on our last trip to Malton - we normally do visit - very nice and very hot. We rang up to place our order and was told 15 minutes - and it was ready - the only problem is there is no parking outside.

Just had a pizza from here and it was uneatable it was very dry very very salty for some reason and its in the bin never again I shall stick to my local pizza world in sheriff Hutton. Seriously how can you get a pizza wrong shouldn't be in business!

Food is ok but hygiene a lot needs improving.seen staff outside having a cig then going straight in and cooking food and no washing hanfs.found hairs in the food as well. disorganised chaos.often get orders wrong.delivery drivers arent cheery anymore.bring back the cheery female staff and delivery drivers.

Got a parmo, burnt to a crisp with a refreshing pot of ice cold bechamel sauce. Didn't expect much but the box looked tastier.

More often than not they get your order wrong. I remember one time we ordered 2 chicken burgers with cheesy chips. After 3 deliveries later we ended up with 4 beef burgers, 2 chicken burgers and no cheesy chips. Last time my partner ordered food she waited an hour and a half for a cold portion to be delivered by a bloke who made his young son do the delivery so we couldn't say the things we needed to say to the driver. No apology either. Go elsewhere to save disappointment and a ruined night in.
