Express grill in Ryedale

I ordered some pizza they said it will take 30 min but it took about 1 hour and when I called he hang up on me with very poor attitude I’ve been their customer for about 2 years and that’s how they treat me.

1 star, because zero isn’t an option. I’ve been ordering from here for about 4 years… the sad thing is, you’re perfectly capable of delivering good food. Is it consistent? NO. It’s once in a blue moon that your food is good. PLEASE take a look at yourselves, your team work, your service. Everything. The amount of times we order to pick up the wrong order and you are handing it to us surely knowingly? That it’s wrong? Lack of communication? I’m not sure. But I feel sorry for the girls at the counter. They listen. They write our order down, so how on earth are you getting it so wrong? The kebab meat is grey and thick, it’s not supposed to be like that… it’s just bad. The chicken parmos are sour tasting. And tonight you had the audacity to send out my pizza to someone else, told me so, and made an absolute shambles of a replacement within 5 minutes. With the taste of the food recently I’m genuinely concerned about hygiene too, I’ve been poorly too many times from eating here and because you’ve delivered food in the past that has been average, when I’m home late from work or don’t have time to cook - a takeaway is the perfect treat. However, it’s always a disappointment that I’ve paid to experience. I also repeat, I feel so sad for the girls on the til. Why does it seem like other staff in the back are blaming the front of house staff for their own mistakes. It’s not on the girls if the staff in the kitchen can’t listen to an order being repeated. You literally have it written down. I will never spend money with you again!!

I am so annoyed! Poorly with flu… and i mean proper flu! Haven’t been interested in food for days but finally get a bit of appetite and fancy a chicken wrap with everything on… then this garbage turns up! are you having a laugh! 3 pieces of chicken thrown at a wrap, no salad, no sauce! The ‘wrap’ is soggy where the chicken is so can’t pick it up and dry and crispy around the edges. I can’t believe a place that’s sole purpose is to serve food would allow that out of their shop! Given I have no energy to sort a plan B I decided to eat it… other than getting some food in my belly it was a waste of life, tasted of nothing! We order from here a lot and it’s usually good but today has made me cross.

Absolutely shocking service. We waited nearly 1.5 hours for our food to be delivered, we understand they’re busy with the bad weather.mediocre and Luke warm!! What I don’t understand is when our order was delivered wrong, we called to complain and be told there’s nothing they can do as they’re too busy!! We asked for a plain garlic bread which was delivered topped with tomato. We now have a 10 yo boy who has a tomato allergy sat here with no food and hungry. That’s fine though because we where told next time we order they will give us a free Gary bread!??? So my boy now has no tea and a garlic bread he can’t eat! Absolutely appalling service.

Awesome takeaway great food I wish I could recommend something but I get alsorts! 😂 Parmesans and mixed wraps and the express kebab mix are my go to but sometimes I get cheeseburger and chilli base pepperoni pizza 🍕 if you’re in malton definitely get some food from these guys whatever you’re into! Thank you! ❤️

Best food in the world you won’t find a better takeaway in the universe than this one

Absolutely ridiculous service! I ordered mixed kebab with chips and paid extra to have the chips separately but when it arrived it was all mixed together, plus the chips were burnt and cold. Then charged me a pound for a tiny bit of chilli sauce plus 5 pound delivery. The customer service was atrocious, I wouldn't talk to my worst enemy like that. Vile business, vile people, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

I have just got home from a 9-hour car journey, so I ordered a takeaway from Express Grill. I have them from there regularly. (Not good, I know). But when this arrived, it was all cold and greasy. I did not want to wait another 45 min as we were hungry. I had to reheat it all.

Great food! The best in town by far

So disappointed with our parmo for the second time in a row, what a let down!!! The best parmo's town by a mile but we complained in a polite manner of the lack of bechamel sauce... Once again it's dry and disappointing. So we decided to complain again to be met with laughter, and told extra sauce has been added... I wouldn't be waisting my time complaining if this was the case. P.s I trained with the owners ex boss, so I know how the should be.

I've only given it 4 stars because they don't take card payments. Other than that I can't complain. Good food and friendly staff

Ordered a garlic bread with tomato and cheese tonight. This has to be the best garlic bread I've had from a takeaway in Malton in a long time Very quick delivery aswel

I used to like it here, but they have got our order wrong the last two times we’ve been, they did rectify it but obviously not ideal when it is happening every time we go and someone goes hungry. Strangely they asked for the incorrect food item back, hoping they didn’t give it to anyone else.

the worst service I've had I ordered a chicken kebab and they gave me a doner kebab instead, after that I contacted them and told them about the mistake but they didn't recognize it and said it was my mistake, and there were several bad experiences in the past that I didn't do anything about, I said that every human makes mistakes, I wouldn't have written this if they admitted that they were wrong

Absolutely fantastic food! Service was amazing, owner flipped a coin and if we won we got an extra garlic bread! We won and he kept his promise, hands down the best takeaway I've ever been to. Really quick too, thanks to the guys who were there

Ordered and paid for one lot of chips in store (can’t get more simple than that), waited 15 minutes while people that ordered in store after me got their orders before me (including people that ordered chips!), before the girl that served me came over and asked me what I had ordered (while she polished off a burger and chips! probably not her first of the night 🙈). Told her to keep my money and left as I couldn’t be bothered to wait anymore. While waiting (for my chips that never arrived) someone that had ordered a delivery called the store, she was on loud speaker for everyone to hear, to say that a pizza she had ordered was not delivered with the rest of her delivery (again how simple is it to get a delivery order right???). Will not be going back, simple things like taking an order for chips seemed way to complicated for the staff 🤷‍♂️

Best parmesan in malton, fresh ingridients and fast delivery. As well portion is huge, wont order from anywhere else!

The staff were really friendly and let us stay in to eat. The inside was tidy and clean.

Yeah the food is good but the phone staff is hurrendous

2 star as nice food..just ashame they go to wrong address then phone you up having a go being rude because you are not answering the door…delivery guy who eventually found us was ok tho “we have been to your house” mate we were sat on the drive 😂.

The Food is great I was there few times , the customer service really needs improving it happen twice when I go to order at till the lady in front start to ask my order then she jumped on phone then ask me again , that it's rude serve at the time don't start asking me what I want then answer phone then ask again . And I went today to place a order to pick up in 10 15 min can't pay with card so I let that lady know I will go at ATM to get some cash how much will take for my order the answer was: CANT PLACE THE ORDER YOU NEED TO PAY FIRST ,I didn't like it last time for me . So sad for those that are doing a god job in there

Good menu, lots of choice, will deliver and kids menu great with a meal a drink and sweets for just £4.50

Terrible customer service. Food is mediocre Edit; this was 3 months ago . Before the reply. No effort at all was made to rectify my issue which is why I never returned.

The chili cheese burger is very tasty and I would recommend it its only 5.50 £

Five well deserved stars for Express grill, always very friendly and go the extra mile to please, food is always lovely and hot, always very fresh too, wouldn't go anywhere else now, thanks to all the staff from all at 7 Millrace 🙂

I'm giving it a 1 star as it says on the internet that you are allowed to pay with card over the phone but only cash only when I run and when I got my food it was all soggy rubbery and cold and I have the burger mix and the meat wasn't cooked at all it was red I will not be ordering age

Best pizza/kebab takeaway in Malton or Norton by far. Friendly staff and delicious food. Always a treat ordering in for a movie night through Express Grill.

Really nice food, Quick delivery.

Food seems as good as it gets for a kebab shop. They have a good menu but they do charge a pound for delivery, even in Malton or Norton and the charge is higher outside of Malton and Norton. This still does not have an impact of the quality of food and treatment in service.

Tried the food for the first time last night, absolutely amazing!! Everything we ordered was delicious and lovely and hot, the blue cheese pizza is now a firm favourite, so glad this place has opened as the other establishments in town are all very poor

Tryed yesterday fantastically clean hope they keep it like that! not happy still no delivery service! It was mentioned will be available in a few weeks !! however stuffed crust pizza great meal deal 3 loads of food all good bit disappointed the 2 portions of chips missing! And although advertising coke in there menu only pepsi. Teething problems I am sure!
