The best restaurants serving Default food in Devizes North Wiltshire South West

I don't give 1* Reviews lightly but was so disappointed and upset. Firstly, it's grossly over-priced! A small (330ml) Thai beer is over £5! The coke is served in a child's glass (200ml) and the costly egg fried rice accompaniment is a teeny portion of around 4 tablespoons! Finally, I ordered a spicy Thai dish for my Thai visitor and specifically requested "as spicy as possible". A dish was delivered resembling nothing like as displayed (or ordered) and was as spicy as a flat Coke! I politely reported the matter and the server just brushed it off with no attempt to rectify or explain. That's £240 I won't get back leaving hungry, broke and feeling disappointed!!

Nice pub, and just that, a nice pub, no airs or graces, and probably the best pint of Guinness in town

We had a good 2 night stay in this hotel, good breakfast. Walk around the famous canal and historic old parts of town.

Best fish and chips shop in town. Mostly cooked to order, chips are crispy, fish is always perfectly cooked. Haddock and chips at £9.60 is two quid cheaper than a doner kebab and chips just around the corner. I know what I'd rather have.

I may only order a basic meal most of the time (mushroom omelette and chips) but so fine, I always come back for more (on the odd occasion i have something different - chicken chow mein or duck pancakes - all fab) x great service all round x

The usual Costa Coffee shop. Nice.

Batter wasn't cooked but the food was very cheap but couldn't eat. Do not recommend

Best curry house in Devizes and i've tried them all - underrated in my opinion, everything so much better than others in the area - a great choice for takeaway!

A very nice pub. It had great food and beer at reasonable prices. It's situated at the side of the Kennet and Avon canal which gives it a very picturesque location. The staff are very helpful and friendly and they welcome dogs. What more could you want? Only just managed to get back here but the above still applies. Marvellous food, very friendly service and a lovely place to have a meal.

We eat here regularly, and it's always great. Love this place.

Had a superb meal this evening. One of the tastiest Indian meals I have ever eaten and beautifully presented too . Service efficient and staff friendly and welcoming . Highly recommend.

Called in yesterday looking foreward to a nice cooked breakfast , only crumpets or Cake , we were in there for half an hour at Least on a saturday lunch time , only one other couple came in and looked disapointed at the menu , not even sandwiches , this place used to be so good Talking to people on the canal trip They were disapointed as well Its sadly not viable with only 3 tables and a setee, take the sofa away and you could Fit in a other 2 tables Shame

Are you sure ? I’ve tried hard to find something nice to say to try and balance this review, but I can’t. This special fried rice isn’t. Never had so much rice with such a small amount of other ingredients added. Every part of it including the rice was overcooked. Dry omelette, chewy chicken, rubbery prawns, even the peas had lost their flavour. Seems as though whatever was to hand was chucked in, but not a great deal of it. This Restaurant has a number of short, feel good reviews. The longer ones are in-depth reviews that tell the whole picture, good and bad. Problem is, there are too many bad ones. So I ask again, are you sure ?
