Costa Coffee in Wiltshire

I just want to give everyone who was working in Costa Devizes this morning (Friday 1st November) a huge thank you, I was in with my son (2year old) for a coffee whilst waiting for the bus and had had a bad morning with him throwing tantrums and meltdowns in the town centre. I got chatting to Sara behind the counter and just burst out crying, after holding it in for so long, then each and every one of the members of staff were very attentive to me, gave me a complimentary brownie and water for my son to calm me down and went above and beyond to make sure I was looked after. Your kindness went a long way when I was feeling a bit hopeless as a mum this morning. Thank you so much ❤️ each and every member of the team that was in is an absolute credit to that store ❤️

Really nice coffee shop staff are super friendly! They only have 1 toilet so the que for the loo took a while.

There is, of course, nothing wrong with this place. The service is fine, the food and drink good. However, I was saddened to find, on 26th August, that The Brittox Costa had closed the previous day. It was a cafe which held many memories for me. I used to stop there on my way to work every morning for a takeaway coffee. I also met a former colleague and mentee (who sadly died long before her time) there, and I found it a more intimate and atypical Costa outlet. I had visited it about a week before closure, being unaware that its demise was imminent. All things must pass, and I have no doubt that its business model was not as healthy as some town centre Costas, but it had a loyal following, not all of whom will be happy just to trek to the Market Square and frequent its more brand susceptible, but perfectly adequate, stablemate. RIP.

Brilliant drinks, lovely people and tasty snacks. What else is there to say?

Haven't tried the food here, but it looks delicious, coffee is really good, made fresh by lovely welcoming staff here, comfortable seating, from chairs to armchairs, nice place to meet friends & chill out, couple of outside tables & chairs. Would definitely recommend.

The staff make up for how run down the cafe is. They remember your order, seem to get along really well and always greet you with a smile. It seems to be short staffed though, as there is always quite a wait. The cafe interior needs a major revamp.

No working toilets, rude staff and got our order wrong (twice) not sure what’s happened with this costa as it used to be good, just seems to have gone downhill.

Title: Disappointing Experience at Costa Coffee As I waited in line, the employees seemed engrossed in gossip and casual conversation with a lone customer, neglecting the queue. After what felt like an interminable wait, I made the decision to leave. Overall, my experience at this Costa Coffee was marred by slow service and what was really apparent that the staff were preoccupied with anything but serving customers efficiently.

Friendly staff, Great selection of food and drinks and could not ask for better service! This Costa is one of the pride of the company

Ordered a fruit tea, service was prompt. Staff were pleasant.

Personally, there is no ambience, but many seem to like it as a meeting place.

This is a fantastic example of costa coffee. A very busy shop with lovely friendly staff. Loved my decaf vanilla latte sat in the lovely window watching the world go by.

It's a Costa, so the coffee could be better - you need to add an extra shot to your cappuccino to make it drinkable - but the service is consistently great: fast, efficient, friendly.

Favourite coffee place in devizes

The security of known brand coffee. Consistent with every other Costa outlet. So no nasty surprises. But little to delight either beyond the superb staff. Clean.

A nice coffee shop with mix of table and chairs or sofas and comfy chairs . Lovely service from the friendly girls in there ♥️

Quite low on stock when I visited. And slow service.

It's OK in here, always takes time to get your order taken. But when you do get it its always nice. The toilet is out of use, you have to use the disabled one, but going in and out with a disability scooter there is no room as they have chairs in the way of the door opening. Plus the door is very heavy to push open and for disabled people like myself it's hard.

The coffee is bitter and horrible as usual but the cold drinks are very good and there a place to sit outside which I like.

Asked for decaf, pretty sure they gave me caffeinated coffee as have been feeling sick all day since (allergic to caffeine).

Must admit I’m slightly addicted to Costa hot chocolate, just the plain version without cream and marshmallows! The perfect blend of frothy hot milk with Costa blend chocolate and not too sweet. The staff are very pleasant and just want you to enjoy yourself.

I will go for another coffee down there because I had a very welcome with the staff

Lovely coffee sat in armchair in sunshine. Let down by toilets being out of order...had to pay 20p to use public toilets!

the place was clean and the staff were very helpful. The place was a good size so was able for us as a family to be able to sit together

Please smarten the place up. Having the back of the store cordoned off and used as a store room looks awful. As does the rank of recycling bins lined up outside the store. It's no longer an inviting, make yourself comfy, sit back and read a newspaper type of space.

Nice friendly young lady serving they where having to close early due to staff shortages. But I will revisit as its situated in a nice place for people watching.

Gone downhill recently, lack of food on offer, coffee lukewarm, staff behind counter seemed more interested in talking to each other than serving customers.

Good Costa coffee served here. There's seating outside the shop as well as a nice area in the market place.

One of my favourite stopping points easy parking for motorcycle and you can sit outside

First coffee I've bought out in a long time. Was tempted by the cakes on offer but managed to resist. Good Covid controls in place and as it wasn't busy, plenty of tables to sit at, even with every other one being out of use. Normal ballpark prices that you'd expect for a coffee when out. Car park right outside with a small seating area on the pavement.

Nice and friendly staff, even went to check in the ingredients of their new Caramel Gold flavour to check it was vegan. There's a clear path from entrance to order to pick up to exit and a couple of tables out front that start to get the sun about 1030 in June.

Have been to better Costa's as tables weren't being cleaned and its got a dog friendly policy which is beyond belief

Happy and bubbly staff in this Costa always making conversation and making you smile brilliant coffee and they never mess up orders always on time with them

Such a lovely Costa and even now - during the lockdown- able to keep the customers happy and keep serving great coffee. Although I'm disappointed at the central Costa decision to remove Lacto-free milk from the menu, I know this isn't down to the local stores which remain outstanding for service, quality and covid-safe processes

Stopped by for a coffee during a canal walk. Wiltshire under Tier 2 Covid conditions. Served from a little hatch. Staff very nice. Tables outside had we wanted them. Good Latte, lovely hot chocolate with marshmallows. All very safe. Perfect.

Usual costa experience. Tried the breakfast offer of bacon bap but not a patch on Greggs. Used costa because Gregg's had no seating!

coffee is good, staff friendly but when closing time comes it seems to close 15 or more mins early

Visited on Friday with Two guide dogs plus one trainee guide dog staff very friendly and helpful and all dogs well behaved

Good amount of space. Long wait to be served even though quiet. Lemon tart tasted revolting not like I have had there in the past. It had v little lemon just sweet. I left it ( that's a first!)

It is a roomy Costa with plenty of seating. The staff seem friendly. It is not the busiest Costa I have been to, so there is always a place to sit and you can hear your conversation with a colleague, otherwise, it is the same as all the other Costa's.

I know this is part of a chain, but the staff that work here are friendly and helpful and they make a great cup of coffee.

Great Costa Coffee with a good amount of seating. The staff were professional and worked great together for a good production line which got me my coffee faster. I had a great Soy Cappuccino.

Great places today, Bath and Devizes waiting for the bus and earning some Costa points.

Service with a smile, nothing extra special about this Costa other than the staff seem friendlier here than others I have visited.

Nice place to Chill, enjoying a nice drink the only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because they're out of ice nearly every day til dinner time and I normally want the strawberry cooler but gd service and kind workers Xxx

It's ok. Maybe needs more staff in the mornings durring school season. But I was able to get a coffee before the bus came!

Good place to relax, half way through your shopping. Had a latte, was enjoyable.

Good step free access from the street. Good disabled facilities. Popular with secondary school pupils in the late afternoon. Stays open later than the wharf tea room.

Had hoped to grab a quick cup of coffee to takeaway before closing, door was open and had 6 minutes to go before offical closing time. Disappointed to be told all the machines had already been cleaned for an early get away a Friday. Doesn't 6.30pm close mean you can still grab a coffee any time before 6.30pm...otherwise what is the point in having that as the close time?! :(

Staff are very friendly and a loverly clean place to enjoy coffee and free Wi-Fi too.

I had not been in a branch of Costa for sometime and just ordered a large cappuccino and a cake in the Devizes branch. The assistant asked if I realized how big a "large" really is. Much larger than expected! So I revised my order to a "medium". Good service, she could have accepted the order as given.
