Valeroso Lounge in Wiltshire

The place was really dark and I found the female staff on the 16th of October to be a bit rude and gave me a few dirty looks

What a discovery! This is the sort of place that we've just walked past for years. Due to a bit of a diary failure of ours we ended having breakfast here quite by mistake! The food was served swiftly. It was tasty, piping hot and served by a fabulous waitress who answered our questions and was pleasant and helpful. This is now my place for breakfast forever!

We ate here on Saturday evening while visiting for the weekend. The choice of food was great and we chose tapas dishes and all were delicious.

Really enjoyed our burgers. The place was quieter than the nearby Prezzo and better for it. The atmosphere warmed up nicely, the service was quick and friendly. The beer was cold and QR code ordering worked flawlessly.

Amongst the national chains in this corner of Trowbridge it was lovely to discover a local informal cafe with a wide range of clientele of all ages interesting well cooked food and friendly service I give it 5 out of 5

We love Valeroso, and we use it at least once a week. The service is always good even when they are busy. Like all Lounges, the menu is varied enough, and the dishes come out with relative constituency. Sometimes, the breakfasts seem to have been kept warm for too long, and eggs are not always poched to perfection. My main request would be to improve the coffee blend. It's good but it could be better.

Baking hit, no air con or fans. Service unbelievably slow! Waited forever for drinks. Had no burgers as had run out?! On a Thursday? Wouldn’t rush back

Restaurant was difficult to find as was hidden down on a retail park just outside the main streets with several other restaurants. Usual menu for a lounge, which was lovely and the staff were friendly. Dog friendly.

Really loud music, as the acoustics in the building are quite echo-ey, its hard to hear conversation. Tapas was OK. Service ok.

Had lunch here today with family. The young man was very helpful with providing us with high chairs and moving chairs to accommodate us. A variety of food was purchased and was enjoyed by my son and daughter. Unfortunately my husband said his all day breakfast was not up to scratch. Mushrooms were chewy, sausages were burnt and dry and the bacon was dry too. It looked good but did not live up to expectations. This costs £9.95! I ordered a toasted tea cake and butter. Unfortunately this was lukewarm and not as tasty as it should have been. M&S do delicious tea cakes - they serve them hot so the butter sinks in. It was edible of course but not hot so the butter did not sink in. I did mention this to the young man who cleared our table who said he would tell the chef. However the place was practically empty so why my tea cake wasn’t brought out straight away I don’t know. I realise it is only a tea cake but if you are running a food establishment every item of food should be served perfectly and not overcooked either.

Very Busy! This place I used to use a lot, but it has become very popular, loud and busy. Staff are very efficient and fairly quick, and the kitchen is very fast. I like the Breakfast foods and all-day breakfasts, excellent value for money. Drinks can be expensive, depending on what you get. The Churros are to die for! The meals we had were yummy and although loud it's a darker-lit large room so ideally suitable for my partner who has sensory override issues. Can't help the noise it bounces off the walls and ceilings in there. We left before the quiz started but that can be fun if you've got a big enough team. Certainly a good space to visit on a Sunday afternoon/evening and somewhere at the start of the week, because its quieter.

There's a really great web app for this chain of restaurants. You scan a QR code, it goes to a website for the particular restaurant, you enter your table number, order and pay. Awesome. Except they've removed the table numbers from the tables. So all that good work is wasted because you end up stuck at the start. I checked a couple of nearby tables, also gone. How difficult is it to put a table number on the table, and respect a really good and safe ordering process? Instead you have to try to get the attention of someone serving, or try to call out to them. Shame, because in all other respects this would be a place with great food, and a safe and comfortable ordering experience. Note: Sharon the General Manager has pointed out that all the tables are numbered with a big brass number, and mentioned that staff are trained to assist when customers are 'struggling'. It may well have been a time when the tables were being refreshed, the numbers were being cleaned, or whatever, but they weren't there when I visited (obviously!). Will follow up with the manager.

I’ve been here 3 or 4 times now and everybody is always very welcoming, it’s more of an upgrade from a weatherspoons but the dishes have a little more pizazz. It’s nice to go for a brunch date or a drink before going to the cinema, the only thing I’d probably mention is the cleanliness of the tables and the menus. The tables do tend to be slightly sticky but that might just be because they have limited people on shift and haven’t been bussed in time for new arrivals as it is mainly walk ins. Other than that it has a nice atmosphere and is a chill place to go for a quick bite.

Food is good and decent selection of alcoholic beverages. Good daily deals. A bit pricey....but where isn't these days?

This restaurant is in a nearby town to where I live. I have been there numerous times and I love the food. Unfortunately, the last time I went (with my Dad) we both ordered macaroni cheese and it came out cold, but after we asked them to warm it up it came out piping hot, so they resolved it well. Usually the food is amazing and the restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere. It is based in a complex with a cinema and other restaurants.

Delicious food. My boyfriend is coeliac and the staff took the order very seriously. Brilliant service and felt very safe in their hands. Great food and a super tapas Tuesday deal!! Thanks guys!

We arrived at about 3.30 pm on a Sunday, it is known to be very busy on Sundays, but my partner who is Autistic is happy enough to sit in this place, because the seats are well spaced apart from each table, and this helps his Claustrophobia problems and the lighting is yellow rather than white, it has a good ambiance feel inside. A really high ceiling with lanterns and Ikea lighting. It's a lovely place to grab a bite to eat and relax. the bar is particularly good and the service is as quick as they can work, which is pretty slick! I had a mocktail and they do some amazing drinks and an all-day breakfast, which is a good size at a reasonable price. My partner plummeted for the Burger and again, it all came out well presented, service with a smile. They also come around later to ask you if everything is ok and offer to top up drinks. The setup is, to find a table or be seated at busy times, the menus are on the table, you choose what you want and take the table number with you to the Bar, so you can place an order and pay for it immediately, there are no tabs left open in this place. The Bar with snacks and meals is run mainly by students and young people. But the service is excellent and nothing is too much trouble. As we don't live in the area anymore, we don't frequent this place, but I found it on a whim one day, looking for somewhere to sit and get a drink, and wandered in. It is in St Stephens Place, in Trowbridge. It is a complex of the Odeon Cinema and a number of different cuisine restaurants and bars. In the summer months, there is seating outside, but this is very numbered. Beware that pets are allowed in this place, so you may end up sitting with a dog nearby. It is your choice to use the Lounge, but all Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and also kept quiet. Prices for food are competitive, there is a lot of Mexican food on the menu and they can be very hot! Drinks are a little pricier, it doubles up as a wine bar in the evening and other alcoholic beverages.

Good drinks, good food, quirky but nice decor. Can be a bit chilly if people are in and out the door, and the music can be a little loud. But the last few times I have been there's been lots of uncleaned tables, and the menus have been a bit grubby. The last time I went I just walked out because even on the cleaned tables the menus and chairs were overly dirty.

Found the music was too loud in the venue…..the group I was in couldn’t hear each other and had to raise our voices. Other than that their service was good, will go again

We ate at Valeroso twice this week, once for lunch with family and for dinner another evening. Both meals were really lovely and the staff were friendly and attentive even when they were seriously busy on Saturday evening. We will definitely be dining there more often

Awful. Avoid .came here having booked a table for 2 about 3 weeks ago as a birthday treat. Upon arrival struggled to find any staff. Place was busy . Couldn't hear conversation over the noise. Was taken to the oddest table in the place stuck in the room like an after thought in middle of lots of other tables. Asked to be moved. Got another table. Filthy dirty. Covered in ketchup.waited and waited for menus diddnt receive any. No drinks menu. Walked out . Disappointed. Went to Prezzo couple doors down and was treated amazingly. Lovely food. Service above and beyond. Avoid valeroso lounge at all costs. There rubbish attitude could have ruined a well planned evening.So decided upon the managers email to retry with free mains we tried again. Upon arrival searched for empty table. Eventually found one. Service not special minimum to be honest. Ordered lounge burger and fries. My son said it was ok. I ordered veggie breakfast. Waitress asked if food was ok. Egg overcooked a bit and mushrooms cooked so much shrivelled up. But not too bad. Thankyou to the manager for our meals but the place way too buzy and have a job to hold a conversation as so noisy. Sorry to say I feel nearby eating places have the edge over valerusso lounge.

Always a great place to go for a lovely breakfast. It's not exactly cheap but, this is definitely a perfect example of "You get what you pay for". It's such a nice place to be in as well with lots of wonderful, eclectic decor to look at.

The staff at Valeroso always go above and beyond to make sure the Happy Cafe is the best it can be. They're so incredibly friendly and helpful and create such a lovely atmosphere for us to meet in. There is always such a great vibe to the cafe, the room is beautiful too and so inclusive and accessible. It's fantastic to know we have a little community in Valeroso Lounge that's always full of smiles and laughter. --

Good food.. Good atmosphere... prompt staff. Spotless toilets. Good temperature in the restaurant.. toddler friendly. 3 hours free parking right outside. Decent price point.

One of my family's favourite spots for breakfasts. The atmosphere is great and comfortable, you can have a nice big table for family meals, a cosy couch or sofa style chair for coffee dates or a high stool for a good drink with friends. The staff are always very helpful and polite. Highly recommend

The exceptional staff I've spoken to have been engaging, really helpful and supportive. This is a great venue which is a surprise to me in this kind of location. Relaxed homely environment in a modern building ✅. Somehow I managed to loose my, car and house keys, wallet, driving licence, and bank card. One member of staff found these for me, they weren't even at the Valeroso Lounge but he found them via someone else through Facebook and let me know so they were reunited with me.

The food was awesome but won't be returning. Between the prices of the food and for it to be served on chipped crockery to the staff walking around chewing gum. 1 blonde staff member wearing the shortest skirt going. I went to eat my dinner not see a show. Off putting and disgusting. Won't be in a rush to return Also anyone with nut Allergies avoid, avoid, AVOID. Nuts on the front bar in open containers.

I popped in for breakfast with my daughter. I was so glad we did. I ordered the big breakfast and my daughter ordered the kids breakfast. The kids breakfast was generous but the big breakfast was huge. 3 hash browns, 3 sausages, 3 slices of bacon, a pile of mushrooms as well the other usual breakfast items. The food was cooked perfectly and was piping hot. The eggs were great, fully cooked whites and runny yolk. A decent slice of black pudding. I shared some of mine with my daughter as it was far bigger than I thought it would be. Of the three local beaches, this one is by far the best.

Really used to love the lounges when younger but with kids now i just find it all a bit grubby, sticky, cluttered and dark. I dont get how they make all surfaces feel sticky. I really like the space and no issues with food or drinks, just needs someone to rub there hands on a table once in a while to feel it.

Food was good. No complaints there. As soon as we finished our food we we’re ask to move due to the table being reserved… although no reserve sign was clearly visible. Managers made snide remarks and has a proper attitude problem (also noticed by other customers). Perhaps a training course will correct this, but she did seem very power trippy so I doubt it would make any difference

Very cozy and relaxed! We were also allowed to go inside with the dog and eat. Pleasant service, very good food and very affordable. Super!! Thank you!

Used to love eating at the various Lounges but they have recently changed their recipes and started coating everything in salt. Made our meal completely inedible. Tried mentioning this to a member of staff and they just told us "It was a decision by corporate" and to "just request no salt next time" but no offer of any kind of refund or anything to make up for the completely inedible meal

Excellent service from everyone that we dealt with tonight, the food was amazing, generous portion sizes for a very reasonable price and so tasty! The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are so polite and friendly, we had an excellent night out. Thank you so much to everyone but especially (I believe this was our server’s name!) Rosie! You guys saved our friend’s birthday meal! Can’t recommend enough!

Lovely design of the restaurant, the atmosphere was okay but could of had more lighting to make it a little brighter. There was not many staff working on behind the bar or waiting tables. The menu has a lot of selection and the prices was affordable. A nice visit to a place I’ve not tried before. Would go again

Environment clean and pleasant!!

This is a nice gastro pub with good food. It can be loud but otherwise a nice place with interesting decor. They do have a kids menu and there are games and a book swap there as well. Great for keeping kids entertained. You can either order at the bar or via the QR code at the table which will take you to a website to order. A point worth mentioning is that the toilets are upstairs. I can't say I noticed if there was a disabled loo downstairs though. Great food and cocktails and they do a fab Espresso Martini. Lots of good deals.on throughout the week too.

Firstly, food was amazing. Cannot fault the food. Also, I was served a young girl who was very polite and lovely. However, the staff were rushed off their feet and I could see what was quite clearly the manager sat on her computer barking orders at the staff and was very rude. I work in the hospitality industry and feel the need to speak up for those staff who are being treated with no respect by their manager. Like I said, the food was amazing and the young lady who served me was very accommodating. The manager needs to sort her attitude out.

I have no idea what is happening with Valaroso food as the not consistent is it gets worse! I used to love going for brunch/lunch & Tapas! Recently I had to return two lots of Eggs Benidict & a Full English Breakfast! Poached Eggs uncooked twice & it was cold! Breakfast Fried Egg uncooked 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷‍♀️🙆🏼‍♀️ overcooked Sausage, Bacon & Hash Brown! So came away hungry 😞 I gave you the benefit of the doubt l went for lunch on Tuesday & got the Shakshuka more like soup with overcooked Poached Eggs. Infact l was totally unaware that because l had a fork it had dribbled down my dress! 🤦🏼‍♀️ I doubt l will get a reply!!!

A really nice atmosphere inside. Great cocktails. Lovely selection on the menu from breakfast, tapas, brunch and dinner. The 'Tin pan Louis beef chilli' is a favourite in our family. There is a small selection of children's meals and board games if you get bored!

Terrible experience at this place in Trowbridge. Almost felt disrespected here. I ordered cocktails for a friend and myself. It was full of ice and hardly any drink so I took it back requesting to correct. The manager simply took the ice out and left us with a shameful glass with 2 sips in it! See photo attached. I asked him how much alcohol he has put and he said 50 ml. The whole glass is not more than 50 ml! He hadn't made the drink to specification but he insisted he did and refused to do anything about it. Shameful service. All he had to do was to just add some lemonade or something to male the drink better. Would definitely recommend you check how much alcohol content is in the cocktail as it seems like a scam to me here! Visited for the first time. Never experienced a service such as this. Out of principle he should have corrected it but he was obstinate! Also worth mentioning when I arrived there was no one available to seat us at the table. The manager saw us but chose to ignore. I approached the bar git the menu myself and seated myself and no acknowledgement from any staff there. They were just busy doing their own thing. It was 10pm so still an hour to closing.

Brilliant few evenings in this Venue whilst staying in Trowbridge. Joe, Ben and team have been consistently helpful, polite and provided great service through-out my visit to Trowbridge! Cheers all!

Have never had a bad meal here, love the tapas and cocktails are good too. Great atmosphere, just a shame it doesn't turn into a late night bar with a dance area! As nowhere else in trowbridge town to follow up with the good vibe you get here!

Used to be a lover for Valeroso, however my opinion has massively changed due to food poisoning that myself and a few others caught at the establishment. On top of that our emails have been ignored, which is awful customer service and quite frankly, in-despicable. Me and a few other members were severely ill with food poisoning (suspected) for the following week. We all couldn’t eat or drink any fluids at all, vomiting, going to the toilet and high fevers. I’m not one to write reviews like this, however as our emails have been previously ignored - I feel disrespected and I shall never go there again. It’s one thing getting food poisoning but then being ignored on top of that, is the icing on the cake ( maybe, with a sprinkle of salmonella)

Food was delicious and there was plenty to choose from. My only complaint is one that applies to every restaurant I eat in; there is no consideration of diabetics.

Update again: Came here for a late lunch. There were very few staff about, and it felt even more chaotic than previously. Ordered a big veggie breakfast - which was absolutely lovely. The Mr fancied some fries, so we ordered a portion of cheesy chips. The picture attached to this review shows the "portion" that cost £3.45... I'm not an expert but that's daylight robbery. Almost felt like asking if this was a sample, and the rest would be out in a moment. Update: Bit chaotic tonight, didn't feel as if anyone was in charge... Food was good, drinks were... drinks. Still recommend here as somewhere to eat, though. Previously on Google Reviews: Things have changed, for the better, since my last review. Have been here a few times now and have really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Teething troubles may have hampered my first visit. Seems only fair to change this now. Had an amazing meal with the hubby and a friend. There was a bit of a wait, which we were warned about and that was fine. Had some drinks and a catch up while we waited. The mountain of food we ordered turned up and there were three very happy people sat at our table. Even had some extra fried brought out as mine had been sat for a while and were "cold", they weren't but I wasn't complaining! Thank you for a Lounge experience that was above and beyond standard and simply delicious! Picture was taken once we'd started, as I had forgotten! Three Beyond Meat cheese burgers with kimchi fries, Mac and cheese and onion rings to share. Yum!

Went for a work leaving lunch. No table service so we all had to order 1 by 1 at the bar and food didn’t arrive at the same time. I waited 20 minutes and my breakfast was lukewarm.

We had brunch the poached eggs were done perfect. It was for Mothers Day and they were very busy but the staff were still very attentive and the meal arrive within minutes. very pleased.

I always enjoy my time at Valerosa! Not only is the atmosphere very cosy but the food is always good! Extremely friendly and welcoming staff too

We Trowbridge and Surrounding Areas (TASA) Ladies Group have a reoccurring weekly coffee and natter meeting at Velo. Our table is booked much in advance and there can be quite a few of us turn up. We are so comfortable there that we often spend up to 3 hours chatting, drinking, and eating together. The staff go out of their way to make our visit a good experience. Issy & Olivia and there is also a chap whose name escapes me, are extremely helpful if we need more tables. We have only ever encountered a problem once when I phoned in my booking because the website wouldn't let me book for some reason. Human error... no table booked for the following day... however the staff working on the Tuesday were really helpful and soon we were comfortable as usual. Our thanks go out to the staff. The best cup of coffee for miles, chocolate, and even unusual milk requests are always met. We hope to try tapas Tuesday soon, to test it out in the evening.

Friendly staff who accommodated menu requests and rectified a mistake quickly. The breakfast was tasty with a good pot of tea. Great decor, clean toilets and good price.

Review Myself and a close friend decided to visit Valerosso lounge for a mid-week catch up and were not disappointed. The team at Valerosso do their best to take a different approach to your traditional dining setting. 


 Valerosso Lounge is situated in the increasingly populated side of Trowbridge, which is great for their guests to enjoy their experience with the temptation of some retail therapy or watching a movie at the cinema. 


 The indoor scenery is uniquely vibrant, welcoming and well thought out with much variety of decoration to admire.

Toilets are situated towards the back of the venue which are spacious, extremely tidy and well looked after as you can expect from such cuisine. 


 Our meals arrived promptly, followed by our second round of drinks and then our desserts. I’d asked for some moderations to my dish that I was ordering and the staff delivered with competence and a positive manner. 

 All ingredients tasted great and meals were displayed extremely beautifully and served with a gentle smile from the team. 


I would recommend trying this restaurant and will definitely be returning.

I went for coffee with a friend. The place was comfy and pleasant.

I have been to numerous lounges and always found them good. I've been with family, friends, as a pair, in a small group, at different times of the day and it has always been reliable. I am vegetarian and there are plenty of good options. They also cater well for vegans. The staff are particularly vigilant about allergies. The ordering system (bar or QR code) is easy. The friendliness of the staff always stands out and today (at this particular branch), when my friend did not like the taste of the soup, the staff were great. The waiter was extremely good and the supervisor later checked on us so I commented on how good the waiter was - a massive thank you! We will definitely be visiting the lounges again. I have put a comment about parking to warn people about this location as I am aware of numerous people being caught out by the parking company operating outside this lounge. At present, it is 3 hours 'free' but you have to display a ticket and the ticket machines rarely work. Tip: so that your visit is not spoilt by the parking company, do not use the car park right outside the lounge. There are other car parks nearby.

I had a delicious cooked breakfast 4.30pm in Valeroso which has a warm, cosy atmosphere. The bacon was quality & egg & beans cooked perfectly - additionally loved the herbs with the mushrooms. This is one of the best breakfasts around, a ‘clean’, non-greasy fry up which feels that extra bit special. We were served by Olivia who was cheerful & helpful, complimenting our very enjoyable afternoon. I highly recommend Valeroso. If you are looking for somewhere with an all round excellent experience then this is the place.

Came on a Saturday for some drinks. The bar staff were super friendly and welcoming. The vibe in this place is great. Music was on point and the place was full of life. Thank you guys

We received a warm and friendly welcome as soon as we stepped inside the door. We were seated swiftly and ordered our breakfast. We decided to order at the bar as I like my eggs soft. It was smooth and quick, our drinks were made and delivered to our table and shortly after the food arrived. We were very impressed at how quickly we were served from start to finish. The food was hot, fresh and exactly as ordered. The staff were respectful, polite and friendly and couldn’t have improved on the service we received. We can’t wait to return to this little hidden gem and maybe try a dinner next time. Thank you so much to all involved.

Just love the lounge chain of restaurants. Good food and reasonably priced. Plenty of free parking outside but remember to get a free parking ticket from the machine! Staff are always friendly and helpful here. Ordering is easy via the app and always use it. The lounge breakfast is good value and tasty 😋 Highly recommend the restaurant

Relaxed place to enjoy a coffee, snack or a meal, also licensed. Well behaved dogs are also allowed. Flat car park right outside, vegetarian options available.

We visited this restaurant for breakfast and were pleased at how clean and comfortable it was when we walked in. The staff were attentive but not overly so. We were seated swiftly and were very comfortable. We aren’t very good with the qr code things...

I appreciate that hospitality is still bouncing back after Covid, but this is clearly worse than most other places I go to. Visited for lunch and on a sunny day every table was busy and it was clear that neither the kitchen or the waiting...

It was okay, wouldn't go out of my way to go again. No kind of uniform for the staff, which made it difficult to spot someone to talk to. Made to wait to be seated but then told to sit anywhere. No teaspoons for coffee! Food was good some confusion about items on the QR code but things were sorted for us. Staff not very attentive but they were very busy.

It was ok as breakfast go but i aint raving over it an bit over Priced for me. Coffe taste that strong even whe diluted down with another cup and tiny jug of water. Jus not for me ..and jus my Opinions. You mite Love it.🤫🤨😉

Came for a catch up with the girls and had the best time. Cocktails were on point and the restaurant looked lovely. The staff were super friendly and more than helpful and up for a laugh. Can’t wait to go back

What a great night. Ollie , Ben and Ella were superb behind the bar. The atmosphere was great tonight These guys love what they do and really take pride in making everyone feel welcome. Top guys.

We had the tapas special last night - (3 tapas with a glass of house wine for £10.95) All absolutely delicious & great value !

Great atmosphere, good menu range and pricing. My friend was running late so the server took back the order to save it from getting cold, without prompting from me. Been a few times at different times of day, will be back soon

Trying to be the cosy club andnits good but not amazing

I visit here quite frequently and honestly it's going downhill. They seem to be taking efforts to cut corners wherever possible, the milkshakes are barely flavoured and the fresh orange juice used to be just fresh orange juice, now it's half water. The staff are still friendly and it's a nice place to visit, but, it's tainted by a drop in quality.

Usually good but sadly the last visit fell short..they were very busy,so service slow..the lounge breakfast was sub standard,egg solid,mushrooms stone cold and toast only done one side!.also the churros not available (.the main attraction to my grandson!).also no brown bread 😢

We called into the Valeroso Lounge in Trowbridge for brunch Unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. Value was not great - over £45 for 2 breakfasts and a fried chicken Quality not good either - fried eggs overdone, black pudding a bit cold. The bacon was nice but the other parts of the meal were bland. Sausages quite small Service - nothing good to say. We were shown to our table and then left to figure out how to order. After reading the card on the table we ordered using the app which was fine. Our coffees arrived in reasonable time but servers didn't seem particularly engaging, they just dropped things off and turned and went away. No checking that we were fine with our food. Nobody spoke to us once the food was delivered except to ask to clear away our plates Left wondering why we bothered to go out rather than cook ourselves
