A great family lunchtime on 15 March. Lyn was our waitress, very friendly and professional. Sadly, it lost two stars as still no real ale on sale.

Came in for lunch on Saturday, Ellie was wonderful even though it was busy. Aaron, the manager was also very helpful

I had a great experience at the harvester a couple of days ago u was served by a very friendly waitress I think her name was Evelyn she was an absolute delight and nothing was too much trouble for her I will definitely recommend this place because of the staff

Great service and lovely atmosphere

Food wasn’t as good as the usual Harvester sites. Salad bar that was meant to be ‘freshly replenished’ was all soggy and brown. Food from the kitchen wasn’t hot and didn’t taste fresh. Not impressed sadly.

The server lulu was great her attitude made our experience very enjoyable 👍

Good atmosphere and personnel. Tasty food. It's good they have free range of salads to begin with, while the main dish is being prepared. Last time we were served by wonderful girl, Jasmine, who is quite competent and can give you a good advice concerning the food. Good place to come with family or friends.

Excellent service , staff are amazing . Aarron is superb. Food was excellent.

Not as good as it used to be. Came here for dinner and it was busy, which is no problem. We had booked a table and were told there was an hour wait for food. We sat down, took a while for our server to come over and take our drink order. She then came back 10 mins later for our food order and we hadn’t even received our drink order. There wasn’t much of the salad bar left, looked like it hadn’t been topped up for ages. Luckily for us the wait for food wasn’t actually that long and we got our mains pretty quickly. The food was still decent enough, no complaints about that. Our waitress although forgot our drinks was nice and friendly. Didn’t have a terrible experience, but it used to be a lot better. *Edit* Went on 14/3/25 again and much improved from the last time I went. New menu with some good new choices. Busy, but service was much better. Salad bar wasn't empty this time either, looked like they were keeping on top of it. Friendly staff as always.

Harvester all you can eat salad? Half of the choices were missing and I was told that after 8pm they don't replenish options even though they serve food till 10pm I will say the burgers were lovely.

Family lunch to celebrate my birthday. Lyn our server greeted us with big smile and as my elderly parents eat here quite regularly she remembered my mother was gluten free and asked after both of them. It was a lovely meal and Lyn was incredibly amenable. A credit to you.

We visited the Salisbury harvester today. The venue had a great variety and was not bad at all. But what truly made our visit was the supervising waitress Rebekah. She was attentive, friendly and helpful. Taking extra care to ensure my son's allergies were catered for. Thankyou for your amazing support.

Overall a great experience here. We attended on a Friday evening and Emily was our server. She was wonderful! Very friendly and excellent service. We ordered four starters between us and unfortunately we had to wait around 45 min for this however Emily was great and continued to check in with us ensuring we had the best possible service.

The Old Castle Harvester in Salisbury is an exquisite example of fine dining. One would expect Michelin stars on the horizon for such a burgeoning eating establishment. Simply amazing.

My family came an hour early and they sat us down right away. We had a server named Georgia and she gave incredible service. She was able to help my mum understand how to use her vouchers and she made sure to make our experience special at the harvester. My family hasn't had a good experience at other restaurants and now this is our go to because it was delicious and such a friendly place.

Amazing evening spent at the harvester Salisbury thanks to the amazing staff. Thank you Georgia… Who’s fantastic at making desserts by the way 😋 not so sure I’m going to fit out the door with the amount I’ve just eaten tbh 😅 mixed grill was so tasty, pasta bowl for my daughter.. the biggest burger for my son & everyone got free salad/pasta bowls & free refills 😱 the restaurant & toilets were clean & the atmosphere was a lovely one.. feeling like an actual valued customer which is a very rare thing lately, don’t you think so?

Visited for some lunch on Saturday 22.02 and had a wonderful time, the food was fantastic and our server Vicki was so lovely, it was 10 out of 10

Cheap, cheerful and good service from Tracey!

Harvester has really gone downhill, the staff seem lovely but the service is so slow, waited over an hour to get mains and the quality was pretty awful, the cajun chicken and kids chicken was like chewing a rubber, and the salad bar is just sad now. Half the options they used to have, cold bread buns that feel like they're fresh from the freezer, pasta that looks and tastes a week old. Honestly won't be returning anytime soon.

Unfortunately on this visit service was pretty slow, we had to wait ages for our mains and trying to find someone to take our dessert order was nearly impossible! The staff that served us were fantastic but clearly there wasn't enough of them!

No service at front desk stood around for over 10 minutes to be told fully booked.

Me and partner both had an amazing mixed grill, and all members of staff where friendly and welcoming, megan looked after us and she was very polite and should be given a bonus!

Me and my partner decided to go to the harvester, as i hadn’t been for YEARS, and I remember it being quite nice. As we walked in, we waited by the desk for about 10/15 minutes. We were eventually seated, we waited another 20 minutes (if not more) for our orders to be taken, I asked for the rotisserie chicken and we were told they had run out (I work in the hospitality industry, we make it clear when seating customers, what we have run out of). We waited ages for drinks and salad bowls, when I had just started eating the salad, the mains came out. (May I also add, when looking round the salad bar, it was all mushy, all contaminated together, and the kitchens music was blaring/they were all shouting) Me and my partner both had steak. We both asked for medium rare. And I know medium rare-this-RAW. He’ll eat anything and everything, and he was very unhappy and complaining, WHICH SAYS SOMETHING. We could barely cut the steak, and when we did it was cold throughout the middle, it was completely raw inside. Extremely fatty too. The peas were almost grey, the tomato was cold, the onion rings were too oily. And we both opted for sweet potato fries, which were droopy and soggy. We don’t like to complain so tried to eat as much as we could. My partner ate most as he was starving, I barely ate any, literally just 2 mouthfuls of chewy cold steak and soggy fries. When it came to getting a waiter’s attention, they all kinda looked around and head down walked away. Me and my partner then “finished” it took another 20/30 minutes before they came over to collect plates, not even a “was everything alright for you” or even during service a quick mid meal check. Eventually when she came to collect plates, there was no point in complaining, we wanted to pay and leave. Since eating that, about 2/3 hours ago, I have since felt incredibly sick, and unwell. I will never be returning, it was absolutely horrendous.

Absolutely wonderful food and wonderful service. Georgia was absolutely amazing with everything. Thoroughly recommend and look forward to coming again! Also, the Spiked Maple Sauce is just brilliant.

Very disappointing meal out Waited ages to be seated despite lots if staff Waited ages for somebody come and see what we would like and after ordering was told they had run out of chicken so we both ordered a steak The pepsi tasted odd The salad bar was a mess and the only thing that tasted ok was the beetroot Our food finally arrived which was awful Peas were grey, tomato was solid and the steak was like chewing blood filled rubber We tried to catch someone but was ignored and by this point we just wanted to leave Nobody was interested in whether the food was OK or if we needed anything So disappointed

Food and service here was genuinely amazing the atmosphere was extremely welcoming (especially our server emily) I can't even think of a complaint as everything ran so smoothly, as mentioned before emily was a delight to have she was well mannered and smiley which really added to the evening, the food itself was amazing I recommend the half chicken with peri peri sauce, the whole place was just brilliant and a wonderful experience I can't wait to come back. 😁

Great food, would definitely recommend the bbq chicken stack! Our server Emily was fantastic and tended to all our needs in an ordering fashion, she is a very nice server and the atmosphere of the restaurant in itself is very welcoming.
