Great local sports bar with friendly landlords. Very competitively priced. Take my Tavistock u14 football team back there on a Saturday and they do a great sausage and chips.

Booked a table for 16 friends and family to celebrate our anniversary. The staff were very accommodating. Absolutely faultless service. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Best Indian restaurant in the SouthWest. Large menu and the restaurant was spotlessly clean. Will definitely be going back.

Lovely hotel, full of character and staff are very accommodating. We stayed there for the whole of Christmas and New Year last year, and went there just two days ago for another two nights for my partners birthday, returning yet again for the whole of Christmas and New Year this year, and dog friendly which is a bonus!

I ordered a large pastie which I paid £4.50 what I got was a small pastie which waisted terrible. How oggy can say they are the best pastie around I don't know they are rubbish. And should be ashamed selling small pastie as a large. You even need to clean up ur shop and stop ur staff from picking there nose wen serving.

Busy cafe in the heart of Tavistock where parking can be a challenge. There is a counter at the front in the shop part and a cafe at the back which tends to be busy especially at peak times. The treat is a crodot - a cream and variously decorated cake that is a cross between and croissant and a doughnut. Half each might be enough for some people. Don't go too late or you'll miss them.

We have been visiting Dukes monthly for 3 years. The food has always been excellent quality, very generous portions and very friendly staff. However, our latest lunch was very disappointing. The coronation chicken baguette was largely padded out with too many chunks of dried mango and instead of a fresh crunchy baguette there was a soft sub roll. My hubby’s Smokey bbq burger was average at best. The nachos were small and broken and the salad wasn’t the best, smothered with corn. We had to get the servers attention to take our order as no one seemed to notice us. We are quite upset about today’s experience as a visit to Tavistock for us has always meant a fine lunch at Dukes. It seems quality has been watered down but prices have remained high here. Sadly profit has triumphed over quality. We took our dessert elsewhere on this occasion.
