The best restaurants serving Default food in Sedgemoor South West

We popped in on the off chance we could get a table on Saturday night. We managed to get a table from a very helpful waitress. The service and food were excellent. It’s the second time we have been here whilst visiting family in Bridgwater and will definitely be back. Thank you

So I was just being served in Costa, then a customer decided to come up and ask for a decaf coffee instead of a normal coffee (pre order) whilst I was being served. The female member of staff who wears glasses (didn’t catch the name) then stopped serving me to then reserve this customer. So I’m stood there waiting for another member of staff to come and serve me, instead this member of staff is too good at looking busy instead of serving customers! No apology from any member about the wait so instead of ordering I then left the store. Absolutely shocking customer service especially with a store that isn’t busy at the time of visit.

visited here as a family of 5, lovely warm and friendly welcome, great portion sizes for the price and every plate was empty which says it all, if in the area you won’t be disappointed 👍

Lovely place for coffee or lunch.

Asked for no cheese in burger allergic, and it came with cheese in, clearly didn't read the note, tried to ring , but got no answer, will not b using again

We had a nice cream tea, booked it last minute and were made to feel welcome. Staff lovely, food good, maybe could have been a bit more plentiful

Staff friendly, had breakfast there 3 times over our stay, good value for money. Could do with being open longer as it shuts at 3pm. Whole car park could do with resurfacing. Overall very good

Booked one of the huts for a Mothers Day treat. On arrival, this was clearly signposted as reserved and inside looked pretty with fairy lights and fresh flowers. We were hoping for sandwiches and cakes, but unfortunately, the only option available was an all-day English breakfast! A bit odd for Mothering Sunday lunchtime. However, the cream tea we ended up with was delicious. I think they are missing a trick here...could offer so much more.

A lovely old fashioned pub. Excellent service. Very good value but the chef really needs to learn how to cook roast potatoes! Hard and horrible. However the meat and toast root vegetables were delicious.

I ordered a ploughman’s with a side of fries & my partner ordered a lasagne, you would think that it would be difficult to serve up a poor ploughman’s.. but not here .. pickled onions 🧅 that were rotten and well past a use by date, the most basic of iceberg lettuce with a piece of chopped pepper, brown apple slices & some other awful tasting looking picked white cabbage 👎 chips that were full of black eyes, the only saving grace was the ham, The lasagne had been clearly been made some days previous and was just over cooked & subsequently reheated a few times to end up dry with chewy Pasta 👎 seriously these are Not difficult meals to turn out! Incredibly poor & just goes to reiterate why sometimes you are better off with a restaurant chain - don’t wast your money on food here - awful 👎

Sat outside as have dog. Think maybe the owners ought to try this - view of stores and kitchens , grubby doors, awful smells, and the toilets were ugh ....on top of which my cup wasn't even clean I had to send it back. Maybe inside is better, but this area is gross . The coffee at £3.75 was expensive and bitter . Won't be revisiting .

Really disappointed. Placed an order and been waiting all evening for delivery on the website just said order was placed and no further updates. Receptionist at hotel said somebody had been but nothing on tracking information showed this was case. Tried to phone numerous times but no answer so have been left with hungry children!

Avoid at all costs. Been here a few times before & was excellent. Obviously has new tennants who havent got a clue how to run a pub. Friday night was fish night and yet they only had white fish, which was grey and mushy & had a thick soggy batter.Was told it was cod, probably minnow given the size of the fish in the batter.Chips were soggy and were rubbery. This pub was dark,cold and empty on a friday night ,this should have rung alarm bells. Needless to say declined to pay the bill.,
