I like Blackmore Farm tearooms usually but today service was poor. Ordered 2 flat white coffees both lukewarm. Also ordered 2 cream teas, since when does a ceram tea come with no tea? If the assistant had said I needed to order tea separately I would have. I'd finished my scone before knowing. Spoilt the experience.

Order was forgotten, staff used the excuse of being very busy, yet we could only see 3 tables occupied and one which sat down after us was served before us. It would be good to see the order being written down as well as just put through the till and apologies given for tardiness.

We have visited a few times with my grandparents as they just love it there. It’s such a pretty place with lovely food and not too far from home. We arrived, I said I’d booked for 7, the girl rudely said there was someone in shed 7 already so we’d have to split into 2 sheds. I insisted we had booked and after a couple of minutes she realised I meant 7 people, not shed 7. So she already had an attitude with me. I ordered at the little hut stood next to my 90 year old grandad who uses walking sticks, the girl started handing me 5 cokes and a latte Whilst chatting away to the two other girls. I asked for a tray which was tutted at, anyway it was a useless tray with no grip so two glasses knocked together smashing one of them. I took it back to her to be barked at that they only had this glass ( a dirty glass) left! The lad who bought us our food looked half asleep, we commented that it was nice to see a coach parked and they must be busy and I kid you not he just grunted, actually grunted. No conversation, nothing. My daughters wrap had salad in it which i confirmed 3 times when ordering not to put salad in it so I sent it back again to be grunted at, no apology atall! I appreciate its difficult getting teenagers to be polite and smile but actually we won’t be returning now because this has infuriated me!

What a fantastic discovery. We stumbled on the farm shop after finding most other local venues closed. After a stiff walk on the Quantocks, this place came as a lovely surprise. A very pleasant outdoor seating area, good food and excellent staff. I can recommend the light lunches - very good quiche, salads and sandwiches among other choices, good quality tea and coffee too. Definitely one to visit again, together with its accompanying farm shop

Called in for brunch and had a lovely meal. We actually had a full English breakfast the food was really good. The pod idea is great and works well, some are fully enclosed and others are sheltered from the wind but you are outside in the sunshine. Most of the staff (predominantly young ladies) were lovely, smiley and very helpful and gave great service. The manageress was a bit brusk not just with the staff but with guests, Maybe she was having a bad day. We will definitely go back, the cakes look lovely.

We were in the area and hoping but not expecting any vegan options (except curry or chilli...) and we were amazed but not hopefull when we saw the sign for a barbeque including Vege and Vegan. Did a U-turn to go back and it looked gorgeous, with nice loos but the food was all being cooked together on the barbeque so, as we didn't want a burger or sausage cooked in pork fat, we sighed and moved on to..see next review! Would have got a 5 if we could have eaten something but thanks for trying.

Brilliant Blackmore Farm - what a hidden gem this is! Driven past many times, but today we made the decision to stop for lunch, and boy were we impressed! Excellent COVID measures in place, great menu, including the best gluten free lemon cake I’ve ever tasted! We sat in our own heated shed amongst others around a courtyard. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it - our very own Blackmore Bubble! The only disappointment we could find, was having to leave!!! Can’t wait to visit again. Oh, and by the way there’s a rather lovely Farm Shop on site too!

We have been several times before and have been very pleased with the food. However our latest visit was poor. They said there were no paninis but we could have a toasted sandwich. We received what can only be called a dry doorstep and a bag of crisps. No salad garnish making it a very dry meal. Certainly not worth the price charged and substandard for a lunch. At a time when they need customers to return, they are not encouraging them. We will not be returning.

I'd seen the roadside sign for the farm while travelling to Cannington Walled Garden with its picture of a dog so after our morning in Cannington I planned our return journey to Blackmore for lunch.Nice car park and lovely old farm buildings, as always I politely entered the cafe without my well behaved dogs just to confirm that I am ok to bring them in.The staff were very friendly and said I was welcome to sit outside (in the gale force winds)!I do not need telling I am welcome to sit out side, I am pretty familiar with the fact dogs have not been banned from breathing fresh air and I need permission for them to breath it with me!I think these farms have forgot there roots, i.e. Farms = animals, mud.Not yummy mummies, designer hand bags & snow flake children.I am just disappointed I left a perfectly nice cafe at Cannington Walled Gardens which did accept well behaved dogs.

I visit this cafe quite regularly because I live locally. The staff never recognise me and on my most recent visit, the young waitress was curt and disinterested. The cakes are lovely, but probably not lovely enough to put up with the poor attitude. A shame really - trying to support a local business, but the staff don’t care. ! ! !

Not a huge menu but something for everyone I suggest; we had a light lunch in congenial surroundings, served quickly and efficiently by attentive staff. Would not move tables for us all to sit in case someone else came in, and when we explained that we would alternatively sit on both tables they told us they had run out of most food we might want anyway. We popped in to the cafe for breakfast as the old building looked so inviting. We arrived at a few minutes after 9 and the "Closed" sign was still displayed but we were happy to wait a few minutes as it wasn't exactly peak season. After a few moments a lady inside turned the sign around, which we took as an invitation to enter. Inside was quite chilly, which again we didn't mind as it was still early. The lady who had let us in said she couldn't serve us as she was mopping the floor and cleaning, however a young man arrived after a short wait and we ordered a pot of tea as we pondered the menu. We had chosen a table in the corner nearest the till and were soon trapped there by suds of water where our table had been mopped around on all sides. We wouldn't have minded but the floor in the shop at the other end of the room was filthy and bone dry! Other staff members came in and looked at us like we were intruding in their own private living rooms as they proceeded to hold very loud conversations, making us feel incredibly unwelcome. They all then wandered out, leaving the door open and the two of us in a virtual skating rink. We left the money for the tea and decided against breakfast....
