Amazing experience. The staff were friendly, attentive, polite and easily available if you needed them. My mum has mobility issues and the staff assisted us to the table, lifting her walker up the small step. The carvery was superb. We will be back. Thank you to the team for making it a relaxed Sunday lunch particularly Beth, Hannah, Anna and Katie

Been here a few times now, the welcome and service is always warm and friendly. Plenty of choice for drinks and food, some great real ales on tap. The food is what makes The Lamb Inn so special though, locally sourced and great value for money. The Home Made Steak And Ale Pie is to die for, I swear if I had sneezed the puff pastry top would have flown off my plate is was so light. The meat was so tender it was easily cut with my fork, I have had this twice now, once with chips which again are home made, and this time with boiled potatoes and peas. Other meals I have had here, both for lunch and dinner have been absolutely top notch.

I have been visiting The Crusty Cob for seven months now for brunch/lunch, and have got to know the staff, who are all very friendly, and so helpful. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are always very accommodating to my needs, such as flipping my fried eggs. The food I've eaten has been delicious. The bread is lovely and thick for any meals requiring toast. The chips are made just the way I like them; crispy outside and soft inside. The jacket potatoes always filling. The shop is very clean and tidy, as the staff keep on top of cleanliness. There are plenty of tables, so you can have a quiet space at the rear of the shop; or join in conversations with staff and other customers at the front of the shop. The atmosphere is cosy and friendly. I haven't tried any bakery products, but they are always popular and quickly sell. If you looking for delicious light meals in a warm and friendly atmosphere, then look no further than The Crusty Cob.

We booked for lunch at The Stag. Unfortunately the outside is in need of some loving, compared to the old pictures, but the inside is lovely and rustic. It is only a small place with big tables, so we recommend booking. The food was lovely. We’re both vegetarians, but one of us doesn’t have dairy either and this place catered for us. In fact they went out of their way to double check or offer something else, for the more awkward of us.. everything was cooked to perfection and tasted lovely. I had the sherry trifle (it definitely had sherry in). This place also allows dogs. The staff were friendly and even offered to run us somewhere, if we couldn’t get a taxi. We would return here, if we’re ever in the area again.

Called to make a booking of 8 people for a Christmas dinner, not only did was the person who was on the phone rude and slow to any response. He proceeded to leave the call to ask the Chef and respond with “we are unable to serve a table of that size”. How do they think they will succeed as a restaurant with that kind of attitude.

The food is nice - not the best in town - but it’s not worth it for how long you have to wait. What’s worse is that they always mis-estimate how long it’ll be leading to sitting on those horrible benches waiting for 30-40 minutes beyond the time you were told to collect. I’ll be going elsewhere in future.

Me and my family popped in for a meal, in all honesty the food wasn't bad and throughly championed the microwave! How ever my issue is with the staff, should the manager and barmaid me bad mouthing other employees in the bar area.... I think not.... The topic of their conversation was a data breach and the manager clearly needs more training to understand a more competent position. The bar maid/ waitress dumped our plates in front of us, grunted and went back to gossip no doubt, it felt like a cross between an episode of coronation Street and the Adams family. Food was okay but a little to unprofessional and toxic for my taste buds. Customers come in to unwind not to listen to toxic talk. To any of you training in hospitality, pop in and catch the "hospitality for dummies show" I guarantee it will be learning experience either way.
