Rude and lying. The delivery service on a weekend is terrible. What ever they say, double it!! I waited over two hours having been told max 1 hr and I was hung up on twice!!

Such a wonderfully welcoming and relaxed restaurant with the most amazing food right in the heart of England’s tiniest city. We went for a family New Years Eve meal and the service and food was absolutely spot on. We will definitely return. Highly recommended!

My fiancé and I came to Wells for the night and had booked at this lovely little restaurant. The staff Rita and Alice were very friendly and efficient. I had the king prawns for start and duck and honey for main. They were both absolutely delish! Highly recommended.

Lovely cappuccino and the staff were friendly and helpful. Friends that I was with had lunch and they had dietary needs, that the staff were really great with and offered alternatives. We were made to feel welcome throughout our visit and I will definitely be back again.

Wow. Booked for the Sunday buffet and was concerned that as a veggie I would probably just get a veg curry and some rice. Wow was I wrong. The Sunday buffet is not a buffet it's a banquet. I expected warming trays of various food that everyone dipped thier spoons into and piled their plates high. Wrong. There's a special menu of about 55 different dishes to choose from all included in the price. The portions are small but plenty and you can keep ordering until you are full. Plus there were some fantastic choices for vegetarians including lots of paneer which is my absolute favorite. So impressed. Every dish we ordered was exqusite. Freshly cooked and delicious. You bring your own alcohol which makes it affordable for a night out if you are on a budget. Soft drinks, puddings and poppadoms not included. That was the only negative. Poppadoms not included?? Very odd. Especially as we were encouraged to order them to start with. Er no. I am not going to fill up on poppadoms that are not included in the price, when I am doing the all inc buffet?? The service was slow but attentive and to be expected when everything is cooked freshly. Fabulous evening. Great value. Thank you!

Popped in on a quiet sunny March time. It had a few customers which grew in numbers during our time there. We had a lovely greeting, and teh quality of service was kept up during our visit. The food was tasty and reasonably priced

Authentic Italian restaurant. Good honest food and friendly service. Good value.

Excellent meal however prices were ~50% (excluding service charge) more expensive than advertised on the website.

Although The Swan is a lovely characterful place, our room was very tired, and the bathroom was not very clean. The pillows were lumpy and hard , the bathrobes were threadbare, and over the course of our 4 night stay, our cups were never replaced but obviously washed in the bathroom sink , Ugh!! and there was never a bottle of water put into the room as advertised. When discussing on checkout, we were advised they were about to start refurbishment, but to me, that's no excuse for the lack of cleanliness. On a lighter note, the restaurant food was superb and well worth a visit.

Got myself a drink plus a free pizza! How can you not love this place?

Ordered food for delivery no food delivered phoned and was informed they Don’t deliver I told them I am disabled and cannot collect and the line went dead I am totally disgusted with them as they advertise delivery in the web site Would now like my money back

The owners are a wonderful family. The Chip shop style menu is brilliant and well priced. Also does great takeaways and delivery. Lovely entertainment and pub sports venue, as well as a great home to many teams, clubs and community groups. Really great visiting The venue. Definitely recommended

This is my second visit to Wells and we came back to this specific restaurant to have our lunch. We had such a lovely time and food in this restaurant 2 years ago that we insisted coming back here this time. Despite you could find Ask Italian in many cities in uk, this branch somehow makes the best frilly pasta in all the branches I tried. The atmosphere is as usual lovely and every single pastas we had in our group of 8 was delicious. The staffs was lovely and welcoming except at the end, we were not impressed to have asked by one of the waiter (red hair) to pass the plates to him from one end to the other end. It wasn’t there was limited room for him gain access. The empty plate was with iron dish and it was quite heavy. I wasn’t impressed with that service and I tend to help to pass the plates to waiters but never been specifically requested by any waitering staffs in any restaurant before unless it was too difficult for them to gain access. Despite this experience, we were very pleased with the food and overall experience. We will still come back for sure.
