The best restaurants serving Default food in Forest of Dean South West

Easily the best chip shop in Cinderford – hands down. The service is always fantastic and the quality never disappoints. Whether it’s the kebabs, pies, or the classic fish and chips, everything is spot on. The chips are always fresh and perfectly done – never overcooked or greasy. It’s clear they take real pride in what they serve. It’s no surprise there are often queues outside, but don’t let that put you off. The team are quick, efficient, and friendly, so you won’t be waiting long. This place is an absolute gem and I’d highly recommend it to anyone. Give it a go – you won’t regret it.

Lovely spot for a coffee, friendly staff and beautiful scenery, didn’t try any cake but all looked lovely and fresh, will come again when in the area next

Came up from Cornwall to visit my family, my son treated me to fish and chips and curry sauce, living by the sea, i love fish, i must say it was the best fish I've eaten, cooked to perfection and not greasy, when i return i will definately be ordering more, well done, you have done your town proud

Really friendly family run hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. One little observation, could have done with a mirror in the main room and a few more plugs. Food was superb. Large portions and very reasonably priced. Always piping hot. Great for exploring the Forest of Dean and easy access into South Wales.

What a lovely fish and chip shop 🤩 We called and ordered at 8.20 (just before closing time) for a delivery and the lovely man sent 2 giant bags of the most amazing chips sausages salad and battered mars bars & cheese cake I’ve ever tasted and we only ordered a few things we were taken back by there kindness 5* food also. We will definitely be ordering again, you don’t get community spirit like this anymore and that’s why we will be loyal customers moving forward ❤️ Fast delivery (they were still piping hot) fresh delicious food all cooked to perfection may I add, and with a kindness like this towards the community….that right there is priceless. Never fails, food is outstanding and very reasonable.

Avoid at all costs. Received £100 parking fine for stopping here for 30mins. Signs are not lit up in the dark, not made aware of requirements for permit. Absolutely disgusting management

Stopping in Newent for weekend. Ordered take out curry. What'a menu. Fabulous selection. Walked in - lovely spicy aromas. People eating in looked happy. Only disappointment was food should have been ready for collection at 8.50 and didn't come out of kitchen until 9.15 and I was ravenous. Anyhow the food was well prepared, very tasty and worth the wait.... Recommend if you're in the town......

Went there tonight for the new pigs in blankets with chips and Yorkshire pudding my boy said it was amazing. We frequently go to als plaice for his burgers as they are the best in town 👍👍

Ordered £23 worth of food, two hours after it was suppose to be delivered the restaurant rang me and said they were running behind and would be 15 minutes, so do I want to cancel or wait another 15 mins. I said wait 15... 40 minutes later I'd had enough and rang to cancel they said ver we will cancel and give vou a full refund. Food cancelled.. a week later still no refund. Just eat refusing to do anything. Restaurant being as helpful as a chocolate teapot. So they've just taken £23 for food I didn't even get. Disgusting service to be honest. Extremely disappointed. Thieves.

Didn't have food, but great atmosphere and very friendly

Seven of us visited Friday night for the first time indeed it was a great night food so good ( take own drinks) no rush staff very helpful the food was not rushed very hot we’ll presented will Defenetly book to go again

By far the best ploughman’s we have ever had lots of great cheeses and ham, lovely pints of real ale, great staff, log fire, great location. What a great pub

We thought we would try this place again based on positive comments from friends. Food and service on Valentine's Day were exceptional. Much better than the last time we went a few years ago under the previous management. We only live 2 minutes away and may now go back again after such a positive experience.
