I'm really disappointed because I've used Saj. for a long time. 3 weeks ago I ordered, and the food was greasy and terrible. I thought a one of. ordered tonight and my God, shameful. To much to mention, but even the cauliflower which 100%was frozen, they could not even hide that. very greasy, dripping out the bag, prawn was either dried or frozen shrimp. I will never order from them again. what a 🫠

Stayed in Alvington while seeing Tom Jones in Chepstow. Lovely little pub. Classic proper pub. Vintage decor, nice and cosy. Pool table and darts board. Staff were really nice. The little restaurant is on the other side of the building so it doesn’t feel like a gastro pub. Had food there as well a couple of times. Jackson the waiter was nice and polite. Only a young lad. Hope it doesn’t change. Need more classic pubs like this. Really nice place.

visited the silver fox yesterday 15th may with my wife, we have been a few times to this Cafe and usually the portions are a little on the small side but its been a good experience. how ever yesterday was a big let down to say the least, I usually have the faggot, chips and peas which is what I asked for this day, when it arrived I couldn't believe the size of the faggot it is always one on the small size but this was one very very small cut into two, each piece being the size of my thumb (mine are on the normal size!!) I did complain and they bought out another one. My wife ordered the cheese salad which comes with a half baguette the cheese salad was of a poor portion just a bit of lettuce half a thinly sliced Tomato ,3 pieces of cucumber a small smattering of grated cheese plus a little pot of salad cream tucked inside the bowl(bowl very nice!!) when she came to cut open her bread for buttering she couldn't , I couldn't either it was rock hard!!, I offered to complain but she refused saying we probably wont be back so I didn't . shame really such a nice little Cafe. Faggot, chips and peas £10.95 Cheese salad £8.95 note, not that cheap .

First time to this restaurant, we went in on a Saturday lunchtime, we both had food from the build a burger menu and I must say it was very enjoyable! I upgraded to loaded chips, I wasn't keen on the chips (the cheese, bacon and spring onions were lovely) I prefer fries though but that is obviously a personal preference. The part we were sat in felt quite dark, the walls and ceiling were painted a dark blue, not sure if this is intentional, but would be nice if it was lighter. Overall I would recommend this restaurant, both our burgers were really good and if we come again I would like to try from their build a shake menu!

A friendly pub with a modest but hearty menu. The food was excellent, good portions and great value. When we visited they clearly had a staffing problem and not everything was available. But for this it would be a clear 4 star. That said we would definitely pay another visit in the future. The eating areas are nice and there is plenty to keep young ones occupied.

We ate here twice during our stay in the Forest of Dean. The food was amazing! My husband had the beef madras and said it was the best madras he’s ever had! I had the fish pie, which was equally very delicious. Our children both enjoyed their burgers. We returned for the Sunday lunch, which didn’t disappoint. Lovely, delicious home cooked food. The service was excellent. This is a cosy, clean, welcoming village pub with very friendly staff. The children’s play area was an added bonus. We would highly recommend a visit.

Sunday lunch was amazing with the new chef beef was tender and not over cooked. Roast potatoes were very fluffy. A big difference and a massive improvement all around worth a visit. Staff were very helpful and accommodating colouring for the children and not a long wait for a perfect roast Dinner

Lovely little cafe that we came to while on a camping trip ready for the transport festival Monday. food was great and came quickly, waitress who served us was very polite and friendly- young lady with dark long hair up in a clip. But as we were getting ready to leave another of the waitresses ( short haired girl) rudely started having a go raising her voice aggressively at young lady who served us while customers were able to hear it all, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. she’d be sacked in a second if it were my establishment. In our time there she seemed to be the one not doing much work at all while the other 2 waitresses done it all around her. This is our second year coming here but as long as this woman is working there we will not be returning. Hope the young lady is ok!

Good sized breakfasts x 2, with quality ingredients, the vegetarian one (though it does not need that awful facon stuff, just leave it off the menu and and more of something else), and large meat breakfast. Nice coffees and teas and other things if you are hungry. Staff are really lovely! A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for and we don't eat out every day).
