Lovely pub. Came with children and dogs! Beautiful meal, lovely beer garden with play area and lovely staff :) would highly recommend!

With my Granddaughter, had Sunday lunch. Staff superb food brilliant. I had pork with stuffing, it was the Best stuffing I've tasted, full compliments to the chef. Definitely going back

Was absolutely Amazing, Staff was amazing so friendly and made us feel so welcome, The Sunday beef was perfect , beef just melted, spuds crispy yet fluffy, the carrots was perfect just a little bite to them. the cabbage and broccoli aswell had that little bite, Yorkie was golden and crispy, the stuffing was moist and not dry and the gravy was made with real meat stock just everything on the plate was beautiful, I am a chef so I just judge every I eat its a gift and a curse but this Sunday lunch is probably the best I have had in years. it was our honeymoon aswell and they even gave us a dessert absolutely recommended if you are in the area 100% book for Sunday lunch. Big thank you to the staff for making as feel so welcome absolutely will be back.

We arrived at forest holidays in the evening and wanted a nice pub meal. The New Inn did not disappoint! Friendly staff and fantastic food at good prices. Menu limited but the food was lovely! Would definitely recommend

Cannot recommend The New Inn enough; a true 10 out of 10. The pub is extremely welcoming & the staff are super & very friendly. The food is sublime and as someone who is gluten free I was fully looked after. Just a shame we’re only visiting for a short while otherwise we’d be back tomorrow! If you’re nearby visiting make sure you stop here, you won’t regret it.

We dined in the bar area, service was prompt and great hospitality. Didn’t wait long between courses. Defiantly go there again.

Lovely family evening meal with our pup. Fantastic welcome and friendly service from the lovely lady behind the bar, who also served us at our table. Our meals were delicious, huge portions and great value for money. Highly recommend paying them a visit if you’re in the area!!

Had a lovely meal here whilst staying in the Forest of Dean. Very friendly staff, nice and clean pub with a decent menu. I had pie whilst my wife had a risotto followed by dessert, we both left full up. Definitely recommend if staying nearby.

Stopped off on a drive by as Google said was open, so very glad we did. You couldn’t get a better welcome from the staff, very pleasant & chatty. Lovely local ales on tap & huge portions. I had cod, chips & peas. Was lovely large piece of cod with crispy batter & very tasty. Husband had ribs, chips, onion rings & peas. Again super tasty large racks of ribs in a bbq sauce. All homemade & tasted fresh. Would totally recommend this pub and extremely happy we found it.

Rang at midday to see if they could accommodate a party of 7 for Sunday lunch. Booked in immediately. Arrived at 12:10… table ready.,were happy to provide menus for both gluten free and vegetarians in our party. Lovely lunch .. all freshly cooked with a great array of fresh vegetables. Super pleasant staff who went out of their way to accommodate everyone ( including children and a dog!) All meals were delicious and staff were efficient and very friendly although they were clearly very busy. Thank you for a great lunch and we would definitely visit again if in the area. Staying at forest holidays for the weekend and this pub was recommended on their website so thought we would book a table for 9 of us. Very charming pub and very welcoming bar staff but food was terrible, I think this was the worst food I’ve ever had out. The lasagne tasted like a Tesco ready meal and the chicken burgers were inedible as deep fried for clearly a lot longer that normal. All of the food just tasted like it had been reheated and not even cooked by chefs. Think I could have done a better job myself. Managed to get some money off bill (food was also quite pricey!) as most of the food was untouched. We left the pub very hungry and disappointed. Such a shame as could be a lovely place.

Me and my family decided to book here as a group of 13 for my sons birthday and wow so glad we did the staff were so friendly and amazing and the food was great all cooked perfect and the steak was amazing would come here again and I really recommend this brilliant little gem of a restaurant.

Food lovely,very pleasant barmaid jack of all trades she was on her own and it was very busy so rushed off her feet.

Lovely staff, but the food was awful. Overcooked fish and fry chicken, chips were more like wedges and so dark and soggy, not crispy. Tasted like they were a day old. One of our starters was also forgotten but we got refunded. The girl behind the bar works extremely hard and was friendly.

Overall, very friendly staff, good food, poor choice of ales, prices fair. Jukebox was added entertainment. 3.5 out 5 I'd say.

Service was very slow, over 1 hour after ordering for sunday lunch, staff were nice enough but clearly there weren’t enough of them. Food was at best average, I have had worse but also much better, was decent value though, left before ordering a pudding though as couldn’t face to wait any longer!

Proper country pub and only a short walk from Forest Holidays which is where we were staying. Phoned in the morning and were able to book a table for Sunday lunch for the 6 of us plus the dog! We all opted for the Roast Beef and none of us left disappointed! The food portions are very generous and all cooked beautifully. One of the best roast dinners we have had in a while. Staff were all very friendly!

Superb! From start to finish, service from super friendly Sam, quality and quantity absolutely spot on! I would happily travel over an hour away from my home town to eat a Sunday roast here! I have one tiny complaint, on the dessert menu there was ‘Lemon Meringue’ I was well chuffed as this is my favourite dessert, when it arrived it was like a light cheesecake, not a lemon meringue pie as I was hoping for, we overheard the couple on the next table say the same thing so maybe change the wording on the dessert board. That being said it would not stop me coming back! Well done team New Inn! 😀

Good atmosphere but not much more than that. Took 15 mins to be seated. Waited 15 mins for order to be taken. 2 items taken off menu while we waited. And then waited 45 mins for food. At least 3 beers were not available. Didn’t bother with dessert. Disappointing given reviews to date.

Absolutely a pleasure coming here Saturday with my son who has autism (who doesn’t go ANYWHERE for food). The staff that were on was amazing with him. He absolutely loved the food, chef was able to cater for him as he’s quite sensitive to different types of food textures. The 2 waitresses on was so easy to communicate with as I am profoundly deaf, they took the time to talk slowly so I could understand. We will definitely be returning! Thank you to those that served us, you have made us feel welcome so much so my son wants to come again! (It’s rare I leave a tip and a review but I did to just show my appreciation)

I highly recommend you coming here, food is absolutely lovely, offered different options for gluten free and vegetarian food. We came here Saturday evening, it did get quite busy as the football was on. We have had a very good experience here. The food was absolutely gorgeous, the bar staff (I think her name was Lisa?) was so helpful, and there was a lovely lady who was our waitress, she attended to our need in a professional manner, made sure we were all happy, took our order in a short amount of time so we didn’t have to wait around. Great customer services. Look forward to coming back!
