The best restaurants serving Default food in Wadebridge West Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

Ordered two soups of the day at 8.75 each One came with white bread and we asked if it could be changed for brown bread The second soup came with brown bread but we were charged us £1..35 extra for one slice of brown bread to go with the first soup !!! Both soups were lukewarm Over priced average food

We stopped today for a coffee and bite to eat, very friendly staff upon arrival in a very quiet cafe. Drinks arrived quite promptly including the ‘fresh’ Lidl orange juice, coffee was average for the price comparable to an artisan coffee shop; not very well made and came from a tub of pre ground coffee. Food however was extremely delayed given the lack of customers; 20/30 mins for a few sandwiches and some brown avocado which were pretty poor in quality, some ingredients tasted past their best in the sandwich I chose with the rest low end supermarket items. A friendly prompt telling us that it would take a long time would be helpful and looking at other reviews it seems many would benefit from this although I doubt based on other replies that they want to hear any feedback that could help make their business more competitive and attractive. Looking at previous replies regarding “food from within a mile” this probably refers to the Lidl 100 yards over the road where most items we saw were labelled with. All in all a very average and not somewhere to go in a hurry or if you want something fresh and well cooked.

The service was fast and food was really nice amazing portion sizes also super friendly staff.

Very accommodating to our needs for seating in a less noisy area due to one of our guests being hard of hearing. Went above and beyond to get in some Doom Bar after I’d enquired upon booking if they had any ales instead of lager. Staff extremely friendly and the food was delicious and great portions too!

Indian restaurant in Wadebridge!

(This review is for the Taipan takeaway on the first floor above the restaurant). Some of the WORST Chinese food I've ever tasted - clearly their microwave does all the heavy lifting ! To be this bad is quite an achievement as I travel widely and have been eating Chinese food all over Asia for the past two and a half decades.

The food was great however I think it was a bit raw because I had thrown up violently so please check your food in case is raw

My wife and I wanted something special for our anniversary meal. We both had rib-eye steak and it was delicious. The staff are friendly and efficient. The menu is changes daily with both meat and seafood dishes. I will try the lobster on our next visit.

Popped in for a couple of drinks. First time in a while. Unlike before, bar staff now only seem to have 2 speeds...slow and reverse, even on a quiet Wednesday evening at 6.00 Eventually got served reasonable priced drinks. Several diners eating at tables in the bar area, all seemed to be enjoying their food. The food has a good reputation locally, but it's a shame about the poor bar service.

Moved to cornwall in October, found this inidan up road from us , absolutely lovely food and big bits chicken in madras . Keep up good work we love your curry x

Brilliant food amazing choice and staff are lovely good sense of humour

Myself and my partner were planning to stop by for a drink. My partner entered the pub first needing to use the toilet, while I was securing the bikes. He politely asked to use the toilet and the lady behind the bar, said in an abrupt, manner “use the public toilets.” Regardless of her intention, the tone was humiliating and seemed to prompt laughter from the few men gathered around the bar. In turn, this encouraged them to chime in with a remark about using the public’s toilets. To add to the uncomfortable situation, a male waiter behind the bar made a comment suggesting that my partner should make a donation to charity in order to access the pub facilities. The overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant experience.

awful experience will never be going back, the staff seem like they don’t want to be there, not one smile on there face, couple of the staff members just sat on there phone chatting with friends while people are waiting to be served, terrible when they are getting paid to do that, the manager has no clue what she’s doing just stood talking and on her phone.

Having not been here in over a year we thought we would have an evening out as we had always enjoyed the food and atmosphere, sadly we were disappointed and did not end up staying for food. Firstly on entering we could not smell and food smells only a damp musty smell. We ordered drinks and were shocked at the price, over £10 for a shandy and half a glass of lime and soda. On being seated upstairs it felt chilly, the table was grubby and the light feature on the table did not work. Awful pop music playing in the background was being drowned out by the bellowing voice of the chef downstairs in the kitchen, we could hear most of what he was saying including the 'F' words. After sitting for 10 mins we realised that the dish I would be ordering (slow cooked pork belly)was obviously not cooking so would most probably have been microwaved along with the dauphinoise potatoes, and the noise of the chef and music we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. Such a shame that this once lovely restaurant lacked atmosphere, fresh cooked food and respect for customers from the chef!
