We stopped today for a coffee and bite to eat, very friendly staff upon arrival in a very quiet cafe. Drinks arrived quite promptly including the ‘fresh’ Lidl orange juice, coffee was average for the price comparable to an artisan coffee shop; not very well made and came from a tub of pre ground coffee. Food however was extremely delayed given the lack of customers; 20/30 mins for a few sandwiches and some brown avocado which were pretty poor in quality, some ingredients tasted past their best in the sandwich I chose with the rest low end supermarket items. A friendly prompt telling us that it would take a long time would be helpful and looking at other reviews it seems many would benefit from this although I doubt based on other replies that they want to hear any feedback that could help make their business more competitive and attractive. Looking at previous replies regarding “food from within a mile” this probably refers to the Lidl 100 yards over the road where most items we saw were labelled with. All in all a very average and not somewhere to go in a hurry or if you want something fresh and well cooked.

We stopped here for breakfast whilst on our holiday. The food was great and the staff were exceptional. They were so friendly and kind towards my 2 daughters. They even brought my littlest (10 months old) a banana when we’d asked if they had any bits of fruit she could have with her croissant. My eldest (5 years old) was absolutely over the moon with her unicorn milk and has crowned it as one of her favourite things about our holiday. Homely vibe, friendly and great food.

Good food, slow service and, politely, having to wait 50 mins for two breakfasts when half the restaurant was empty on a Sunday morning is disappointing . No offer of a tea or coffee top up and clearly the team were conscious we were not happy but, for reasons we don’t understand, didn’t want to engage. Otherwise very nice and would recommend…. But please sort your service out …

Popped in for lunch on a Friday mid December. Cozy little cafe with a wood burner to sit by if you're quick enough to bag that table. Would recommend the food here as above average and reasonably priced for North Cornwall. I had the Cornish breakfast, whilst Mrs Wibble ordered the vegan breakfast (modified to include a sausage and buttered toast) as this gave her access to her precious avocado. Waitress was happy to accommodate us. Poached eggs were cooked perfectly, and could only have been improved had salt and (white) pepper (unfashionable idea I know) been available. Coffee was a bit average if I'm being brutal. Would be a good spot for a mid camel trail stop, with outside tables, views of the roundabout and Lidl.

We visited W&G last weekend for a breakfast in the autumnal weather, ie Cornish Rain (The wet stuff) Great environment, tucked just outside of the main town, and at the entrance to the Camel Trail (Which is excellent by the way!). I opted for the Full English whilst my partner went Vegetarian Breakfast (With a Sausage!!!! - Don't even ask :-) ) Both breakfasts were fantastic, clearly good ingredients, and fresh and hot just as it should be. Served with a coffee and some fruit juice all made for an enjoyable experience. Dog friendly as well, and don't be afraid to take your 4 legged friends. We also noted the range of fresh cakes, and probably would have revisited later in the day if we had not been so full from the breakfast :-) The team were friendly and happy to help, and certainly recommend paying W&G a visit if you are after a nice local breakfast.

I eat out a lot in Cornwall so much so I have a page dedicated to supporting small businesses, so I think I know a thing or to ha ha , so I when I first came here last weekend I was blown away, the staff are incredible, nothing is to much, they make you feel welcome even if it’s busy. The decor is so cozy a lovely wood burner in the corner and dogs are welcome. The mocha and coffees were perfectly made and brought to you straight away before your food. On my first visit I tried the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup which were fluffy, light and served with plenty of syrup, the brioche French toast made me weak at the knees , buttery, soft but crisp paired with salty bacon utter heaven , poached eggs on toast, which were perfectly cooked with plenty of toast. It was so incredible I booked the following weekend and had the Turkish eggs which I’m feeling hungry for now , just incredible and I had to have more of the French toast. One more thing the cakes are to die for This place is quite simply my favourite in Cornwall, hats off to such a small hardworking team of incredible women.

Sorry to have to write this review, but our breakfast was totally ruined by you serving our full English breakfasts in extremely flimsy tiny cardboard boxes (that so say folded out into plates) The wooden knife and forks were also a disaster - tying to cut bacon, whilst the flimsy cardboard is being pushed through the 10 cm gaps in your tables made from pallets, was just frankly a real pain in the butt, to the point we were covered in food, staining our clothes and going through knife and forks every couple of minutes, that also actually dangerously splintered whilst snapping trying to bluntly saw through our food, which was of a reasonable good quality and actually very well cooked! Can totally understand that you must be short of staff, and may have thought this a good idea to help you at this time, however it completely disrespects your customers who are paying good money for your food and demand the decency of at least being given adequate equipment to eat it with! It completely ruined our breakfasts (which weren’t cheap) and we felt very exasperated by the whole experience

Came in at 3 and was told they were no longer serving food, only cakes… of which they had a poor selection of 2. I thought I would opt for a smoothie… the waiter listed the options and didn’t explain what was actually in the ‘blueberry’ smoothie I chose… upon payment a card machine with £5 registered was sprung upon me which I paid, thinking for this price it would be a quality smoothie. To my disgust it tasted quite literally like soil and that’s no exaggeration, a measly 3/4 full cup of frothy purple juice with bits of grainy beetroot floating init was handed to me. Will never be returning and would advise people avoided it at all costs with far better places to dine a little further up the road.

It was takeout only the day we visited but we just eat on the outdoor seating, the boxes was a lovely touch but would recommend plastic cutlery as it was hard to cut meat but understand it’s better for the environment. Would also like to mention how lovely the young lad was who waited on, was brilliant start to finish and nothing was no much trouble. Probably the most overpriced, disgusting food we had on our whole trip. Eggs were solid, and cold. We waited a long time for our food to arrive, to leave most of it on the plate. The service was far from acceptable, and seemed very under staffed, with only one member of staff taking orders and serving and quite obviously found it very stressful. Our plates were dirty which was also very off putting, and the place seemed very un hygienic which isn’t good in normal times let alone during a pandemic. My husband and myself decided to check out the cafe and ordered 2 coffees and 2 x £7 ‘Toastie of the week’ as the description made it sound wonderful.Coffee arrived quickly but we then had to wait 26mins for the food and when the toasties arrived they were sadly lacking with content and very hard and dry ,l had to ask for mayo to help with moisture.Even the presentation was lacking with two thin slices sitting in bowl .We could not understand why we waited for so long for the food because the cafe was really quite .The coffee also was disappointing and was too hot so it had a burnt bitter taste,l requested hot milk for 1 on the side and that was also too hot .(Barista trained staff should know the correct temperature for the coffee ).The interior of the cafe was shabby and had dated furniture, not at all the quirky feel that we were expecting. So in all we were very disappointed with the food especially in that price range (we found menu prices overpriced for what you get and ambiance/interior compared to others we visited).and unfortunately will not visit there again.

The fries were also stone cold.I mentioned this and they said they'd just ran out and asked if there was something else I'd like substituted. However 50 minutes after ordering I ate as is (they didn't offer a pickly substitute), paid and left. Not terrible, not wonderful, just disappointing.

Like most vegans, we’re prepared to travel for a decent vegan breakfast but this one at Wood Green was was overpriced for what it was - toast, mushrooms, tomato, bit of spinach, very small little pot of baked beans, and some avocado. It had already cooled quite a lot when they brought it to us - maybe it was the enamel plates I don’t know. Wasn’t worth £10-£11 each. The wildly expensive chocolate milkshake - £5 each - turned out to be lightly flavoured milk a la Nesquik style, with no hint of anything else being done to it! What a rip off. Coffee was ok but again on the expensive side. They could do with removing said chocolate milkshake from the menu entirely, and sharpening up their service so that items come out together rather than virtually as separate courses.

We have visited this cafe before in its old premises. Now two doors down right at the end of the cycle trail from Padstow and much larger we were delighted to see it still going strong. We had the chicken and avocado sandwiches (one gluten free) and they were both outstanding. They have an amazing range of home made cakes too and always have gluten free options. The service is really friendly and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended.

If you're making a trip to Wadebridge and want a dog friendly and welcoming place to eat vegan and non vegan food then you should pop along to the delightful Wood and Green Cafe. When you walk you get a warm welcome from Kate the owner and head chef as well as Manager Naomi and the other members of staff. Kate is a culinary genius using fresh local ingredients to make brilliant breakfasts for non vegans, vegans & vegetarians and luxuriously scrumptious lunches. When I went in for lunch I was treated to the most succulent, tasty and melt in your mouth cured beef and red onions with homemade naan bread which was absolutely divine. The food here is not only tasty which is an understatement but memorable and not forgetting filling. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Dogs are welcome too. So when you're next in Wadebridge drop in say hello and try the food that you will remember for all the right reasons.

Really awful experience. Expensive at £10 a breakfast but lovely setting so thought it would be worth it. Half the order came an hour before the rest. The boss was the chef and had no hair net and managed to be so rude to her staff that the poor girl on the till was shaking and the waitress almost in tears. Food was ok when it finally came but as the boss was so foul mouthed I would say avoid this place it’s bever going to change!

Fathers Day breakfast....... ok so the cafe was fairly busy but not packed. Plenty of tables to sit at. We decided to have the full English breakfast. Drinks were expensive, we wanted a coffee instead of tea which was included, so charged extra £2 ( flat white £3!!). Told they had run out of sausages and would we like extra bacon.... said no as 4 rashes each is too much! When it eventually came 50 minutes later, not only were there no sausages, there were no mushrooms, no tomatoes and no sourdough toast as per the menu ( white bread instead) My requested non runny eggs were undercooked and very runny!! When I asked if they could take them back and cook a little more I was told ‘ no because we are very busy this morning!’ I insisted that they did but at the same time could they also cook the bacon as this was very undercooked too!! ( almost raw) We were not the only unhappy customers, many were complaining. Lots of refunds were issued!

Arrived at 11.35am. Breakfast finished at 11:30am and we were told we could order off the other menu, but not receive food until after 12pm, as this is the time the lunch menu operates from.

We stopped here for coffee while cycling the Camel Trail, it makes for a lovely pitstop during the cycle. I had a really nice chai latte and my wife said the cafe latte was very good. Makes an ideal place to stop and have a break along the Trail.

Having elderly grandparents who struggle with mobility makes going for lunch or coffee a difficult outing, however wood and green had Ramps for easy access for all ages and abilities, seating at a range of heights including a very comfy sofa! Also allowing us to bring our dogs in after being on the camel trail makes such a difference for us!

My friend and I regularly meet for breakfast locally trying different cafes each time and thought we would give Wood and Green Cafe a try. Perhaps our expectations were a little high, but we were left disappointed. The cafe itself is nicely decorated and well presented. It is also dog friendly which is a huge plus for me. The menu looked wonderful, with vegetarian and vegan friendly options. Once seated, we went to order, I had chosen a Vegetarian Breakfast. The staff member who served us wasn’t very friendly and welcoming, and when asked if our eggs could be scrambled said ‘I don’t think so, I would have to check’ - really? It was like everything was too much effort.

Wood and Green have recently moved premises right next door to Bridge bike hire. What a lovely place to eat and the decor is very stylish. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Dogs are welcome and there is always a dog of the day photo!! It is a cold February but there is always lots of customers. It is especially good for anyone who is vegan or gluten intolerant and they do their best to cater for everyone. It's the 'in place' to be and I wish them all the very best in the new premises its going to be a huge success.

Went there for breakfast, all was well getting drinks, only one other person ordered food but our ticket was lost and only when we approached the counter were we told they would do it now, bad service indeed, took another 20 mins to cook a four breakfasts consisting of a sausage, one bacon, one slice of bread, beans and mushroom. Not really worth an hours wait at 10am, we always pop around local businesses on meetings but will not be back, must have the smallest kitchen in Wadebridge.
