Amazing food and friendly service. It has a really good selection on the menu. This place never disappoints each year. We would definitely recommend to anyone.

We ate here on our last night at gwel an mor. Lovely atmosphere, great live music playing which blended nicely into back grond. Could still hold a conversation but appreciate the music too. Great food selection including childrens menu. My son is 9 ordered pizza and it was a good size portion. We had two starters, three mains and three puds. All delicious. Great service from staff. Was a great end to a lovely holiday thanks

Good selection on the menu. Food was always served hot and correctly. Very good quality of meals. Can be quite nosey as open plan, but they have a covered outside area too if you want to bring your dog.

Nice menu on first impression. Lovely relaxed feel to the indoor space. Ordered 1x crab sandwich. Positive. The side salad. Negative. Thick warmed sour dough bread with a thin smearing of white crab mused with lemon mayo. Couldn't even taste the crab as there was so much doughy bread. Awful value for money. £16.00. Never again. Meal 2: premium fish finger sandwich. Postive: nothing. Negative. Left virtually the whole meal. Fish meat was processed, grey in colour and was clearly bought in as waitress told us. Nor premium at all. Batter was thick and rubbery. Awful meal. Will stay home next time and make my own crab and fish finger sandwich. Steer clear and save your money.

Turned away on 3 separate occasions. Latest, we were told that we needed to have pre booked, whilst there were 5 or 6 tables completely vacant. They mentioned being understaffed, but we saw a barman and two waiters working on shift, serving around 20 people. Left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome... would not be attempting to spend money in this venue again.

Very disappointed. Me and my partner were tur ed away on more than 2 occasions. The last excuse we rcieved is that they apparently did not have enough staff. However, there was not many people in the restaurant and later on in the evening we went past the restaurant to see there was more people eating there. Unfriendly staff and felt very unwelcomed.

What a fabulous place.The afternoon tea for two was absolutely delicious. Freshly made selection of sandwiches, locally made warm scones with jam and ,of course, clotted cream. Topped off with a scrumptious array of delicate cakes, which we gladly had boxed to take home as we were pleasantly full. The service was second to none. Deserves six stars ⭐️

Booked for the new dinner menu - £15 for starter & main courses for two people. The restaurant was quiet at 6pm, but 2 staff serving. Shown to table with drinks ordered straight away, promptly followed by the menu. The food was served in a timely manner, with good portions, well presented & was very tasty. Staff were friendly, attentive & a credit to the team.

We visited the terrace on our last night of holiday last Friday (29th) and it was amazing. The restaurant has a lovely lay out, really friendly staff and it’s dog friendly in the conservatory which we did use when we had hot drinks the day before and brought the dog. We went the 4 of us as a family and found the kids menu was fab, the main menu for adults had lots of choice and I will go as far as to say the rib eye steak was the best steak I have ever eaten! As well as the peppercorn sauce which you could tell was homemade. We love Gwel an mor and will be sure to use the restaurant more when we return

Can't relate highly enough. Service was 5*. Friendly and welcoming. Great GF options too. On site food can be very much captive audience but this place goes above and beyond.

We visited this lovely place on Monday evening. My wife, sister, brother-in-law and father. The service was friendly and welcoming. The male and female waiter and waitress were so courteous and did their best to make us feel welcome. The food was fantastic. We had a seafood menu choice and could fault nothing. The food was delicious. My wife has a Mauritian restaurant in Reading and as a restauranteur she and I would thoroughly recommend this wonderful establishment. We will return when next in Cornwall. Played golf on famous 9 in VERY strong winds. Ate here after. Good was lovely, chips were incredible. The chocolate and orange pud was out of this world. Friendly staff, be back soon

Tasty food, polite prompt efficient service, good value

We have been visiting the Terrace bar and Restaurant for a number of years both whilst staying on site at the resort and also during visits to other areas of Cornwall. The food served here is an absolute treat, freshly prepared, beautifully presented and tastes amazing!! We would particularly recommend the catch of the day which has never disappointed and is always a real explosion of taste! .. as for desserts, the Terrace absolutely makes the best homemade sticky toffee pudding I have ever tasted and believe me I don't make this statement lightly having tried many from different places over the years. The staff here are always friendly and cannot do enough for you, particular shout out to Shawn who is always so welcoming and goes that extra mile to make sure your experience is a positive one. We will certainly be returning again on our holiday adventures from Wales and always look forward to our visits. More recently the Terrace has been hosting live music to enjoy on certain evenings whilst having your meal.. so just when you think it can't get any better it does! We hope to be back again for another visit as soon as possible.

What can I say this place is amazing. Katy the manager there runs it very well so should be proud. The staff are so polite and friendly and make you feel so welcome. I’ve really enjoyed spending sometime here, also went for a meal on our last day and the food was amazing.so overall can not fault this place and highly recommend popping in to see them, and have some food or a beer. They will make feel so welcome.

We spent a nice evening at the Terrace. Service was good. We enjoyed the starters more than the mains. Unfortunately the burgers were overdone. However the accompanying fries were very good.

The food was very good however it was quite expensive for what you get if you compare it to the local pubs

Good food and great service with a smile. Squid and Pork Belly starters both really good, catch of the day (Bream) was lovely and the kids pasta went down well.

Delicious food (including Gluten Free and Vegan/Veggie options). We’ve had several meals here during our holiday (both this year and last year) and the service was excellent. Josh, Shaun and the rest of the team are superb. Added bonus that even on a rainy day the view out to the sea is lovely from the terrace.

Me and my girlfriend came here for a meal out on holiday lovely table in the corner ready for us and great customer service! My scallops were the best i have ever had i am a young chef and have eaten a lot of fish in lots of places but my scallops were amazing along with my Hake which was so light and fluffy perfect golden colour on the skin. My girlfriend had a lovely nachos for her starter and a mediterranean pasta she loved it but was so full from the nachos already and just said the pasta was a bit oily but still tasted amazing. Loved our desserts so much the crunch in the base on the chelate brownie mousse was perfect wasn’t to sugary it was just the right combination! Love the staff and the place will definitely come back again! Thanks so much

Disappointed , staff got the order wrong twice, food was nothing special and not cheap, wont be going back.

So we was recommended to try this place, we went as a family of 5. Me, my 2 daughters and their boyfriends. WOW! As soon as we sat down, the lady at the bar stared at us. It was a warm evening and we must have waited 10 minutes before they even took a drinks order! We then ordered food and waited over 45 minutes for this to be served, 4 meals were burgers and 1 fish and chips! We had no courtesy check, nobody asked if we wanted more drinks. No apologies for the wait, it wasnt even busy. My daughter had a gamon which was over cooked, one of the lads had a cajun burger which was dry. It felt like they didn't want us in there as we wasn't staying on the site or dressed up! Not sure if the lady was a manager but her customer service skills didnt exist! I love portreath but WOULDNT go back here again Save your money

I am sad to say but fish n chips was the worst of my life ever. Frozen not fresh fish with soggy batter barely cooked. Chips were thin and very horrible.£16 what a rip off.. Guy behind bar was rude and very unhelpful. Accomodation was excellent and great reception staff..

We were on holiday in Portreath and had two meals at the terrace. The food was excellent, great ambience and pleasant staff. Much to be recommended.

We popped in to quench our thirst with a cool crisp pint. Lovely place with friendly staff. Place was quiet when we arrived and we had the pick of the seats outside. Follow the signs and parking is handily close the the terrace restaurant.

We each had a main course. My 10 year old very picky granddaughter really enjoyed her burger and chips. Pasta dish and gammon steak were also excellent. Unfortunately the evening was spoilt by poor service including one of the mains being served sometime after the we first 4.

Very well run by the manager the restaurant is clean and tidy...a wider choice of food at lunch time

Absolutely loved this restaurant - the food was superb, and great service by the staff who were really friendly and so helpful. The bloke who served us even gave us a list of fantastic places to visit while we were on holiday, all of which were great. 👍 Amongst other meals we ate here all of which were delicious we had an amazing meal on our last night of scallops and then monkfish all cooked and served to perfection. Definitely will miss this place. 😊. Thank you

We visited this restaurant 3 times during our week long stay at Gwel an Mor. The food is fantastic, especially the specials which were different every time. One of the specials was a Thai cod dish which was delicious! We sat in the covered terrace...

The staff and the setting here are lovely but this is not the 5 star restaurant advertised. This is more of a fish, chips, burger and Pizza bar. The burgers are not good quality and the cocktails are under-whelming and expensive. The menu is very limited and they had run out of the only steak listed , ribeye at £28 a pop. The prices are nearer 5 * but the menu and food certainly are not.

Went in for Sunday Roast lunch, was advised no Sunday lunch today, only on occasions. Had nachos were OK. Wife's soup, only ok. Please update your website about Sunday roast.

2023 - Lovely evening meals. My son and I were craving a good quality fish and chips, daughter had a lovely burger and wife went for a loaded chicken and bacon Caesar Salad. Shared some puddings (cheesecake and chocolate torte). Wife's Coeliac needs fully understood and staff were confident to explain the options or adaptations. Warm, friendly service again. 2022 - Nice evening meal. Although menu isn't marked with many GF the restaurant are able to offer many dishes. Coeliac wife had Chicken and Chorizo GF Pasta. Daughter had the regular pasta, son had noodles with tiger prawns and I had a cajun chicken burger. Deserts were GF Chocolate orange torte, White chocolate and Raspberry cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding with custard. Also had a lovely Sunday roast during stay. GF options also available (GF gravy). And a nice pint of Cornish gold.

Terribly understaffed. Waited 3/4 hr for a pot of Tea. No cutlery or Serviettes on tables or Condiments. 1 person serving, and 1 person making the Teas n coffee 's. Personally I would not go there again. However it is a nice modern Restaurant.

Took the kids for Sunday lunch on our way to Xmas fair in Tehidy woods, staff were very attentive and helpful, unfortunately they had sold out of the roast turkey and did not have another roast option...not the end of the world as they had a good selection of other food on the menu so crisis was averted! my partner and I opted for the rack of ribs which were huge, well covered and really tasty...kids had burgers which again were really good...my only reason for not giving a five star review would be the pricing which in my opinion was a bit high for what we had...that said we would most likely go again if in the area.

Wir haben hier zweimal während unseres Aufenthaltes im Landal Gwel an Mor zu Abend gegessen. Das Ambiente ist wirklich wunderschön und gemütlich und die Bedienung sehr, sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Essen und die Auswahl waren nicht schlecht, die Kindermenüs waren aber leider so gut wie gar nicht gewürzt und wurden von den Kindern verschmäht. Aber ansonsten waren wir zufrieden.

Very not nice service! A young boy served me today, that is on 27.10.2022. I ordered for drinking Latte and 3 apple juices, then the waiter brought me black coffee and rolled his eyes that it was my Latte! When I asked for a normal latte, he left the table without a word and I was not served for the next 30 minutes !!! On my way out, I asked him why I didn't get served, I heard a grunt that it was my fault because I should drink the black coffee he brought me !!!! Mockery is an understatement !!! For a 5-star resort, the service in the restaurant was terrible !!! I do not recommend!

Had dinner here 2 evenings in a row (whilst staying at Gwel An Mor) and cannot talk more highly of the food and service. Not sure where any of the bad reviews are coming from. Really friendly staff, with great suggestions serving quality, piping hot food & not to mention decent portions. Going to miss it!

Had some great food at The Terrace Restaurant, service was very polite and quite speedy. The food was relatively simple, can recommend the southern fried chicken and olives to start. Pizzas are enormous, ribs were very good as was the burger, the main course salad was nice but very expensive at £10 for the size. Deserts were lovely, especially the brownie….. We’ll be back next year. Not cheap though for a group of 4 at over £140.

Haben hier einen sehr schönen Abend verbracht. Seit Mitte Juni mit neuer Karte, die wie ich finde eine sehr abwechslungsreiche Auswahl an Burgern, Fisch-, Fleisch-, aber auch bis hin zu veganen Gerichten bietet. Schöne entspannte Atmosphäre, die auch nochmal durch die Musikauswahl unterstrichen wird. Zudem sehr authentisch freundlicher Service. Ich gerate ins schwärmen, aber es war wirklich toll. 👍

Ate here twice as a family and on both times there was several items that were unavailable. Food and service was just ok. Only reason for visiting the second time was that we were staying on site.

Lovely food and environment, staff were great and all happy to help. Great kids menu, and fairly reasonably priced. Our daughter enjoyed being able to choose an ice cream after dinner too. Would recommend if you’re staying on site :)

Fantastic the sea bass was best I've had

Decided to have Sunday lunch here today, as my granddaughters were going to clip and climb. The website looked amazing. So disappointed. Booked a table, waited 10minutes to be seated. Their were only 8 other people in the restaurant. Young girl brought out the menu. Didn't ask if we wanted a drink. After about 20minutes went to see if we had to order at the bar. No the young girl said I will come over. Ordered our food 2 Sunday roasts and 2 children's meals plus drinks and a jug of water. Drinks arrived, no water ! Meals arrived children's food looked lovely and tasted great. The Sunday lunch looked awful, for a 5 star restaurant the presentation was a disgrace. You received 2 small pieces of meat, cheese sauce all over the vegetables had to ask for the yorkshire puddings. I wish I had taken a photo. We had dessert 2 ice creams and apple crumble. The apple crumble was tasteless. (Photo attached) The whole meal cost just over £70.00 total rip off. Will certainly not eat there again. The is certainly NOT a 5 star restaurant.

Came here many times during our 2 week stay in July. As a clinically vulnerable person, the staff looked after and couldn't do enough for us. They ensured that we had the same table with every booking and that there was ample ventilation. Delivery service...

Been here pre covid and it's good to see they have kept their full menu. Just had coffee and cake this time but everything was good. Lovely people, good location for families couples and groups.
