Started great until my partner found a big lump of mud under her salad. Was not charged for meal but will not be going back. An apology from chef or owner would have helped but not forthcoming. Don't leave the waitress to take the complaint. It wasn't her fault

We had happy memories of this cafe when it traded as Relish but were slightly disappointed on a recent visit. The initial greeting from serving staff was friendly and our orders were taken quickly. Our coffees were ok but nothing exceptional and, at nearly £4 each, they were overpriced. We’d also ordered tea cakes. They seemed to take a long time to come and when they did mine had been burnt. I asked for another serving and, to be fair to staff, they replaced it without any fuss. Again, quite expensive especially as the tea cakes didn’t seem to be a particularly premium product. We have definitely tasted better. Overall, we think Tim’s Place is somewhat overpriced for what it offers.

We visited Tim's Place a couple of years ago and we were very impressed with the service and the food. We decided to visit again when we were in Cornwall this year. They have now moved to a bigger premises. There were plenty of tables and the food and service was just as good as I remembered. I would definitely recommend if you are in the area and are looking for a good quality breakfast and good freindly service.

I had a friend here to visit she was not feeling great so I took her here for brunch to cheer her up. The breakfast and ploughman's was fantastic, flawless. Thank you to the chef. Unfortunately there was a rude and unhelpful waitress who served us!!! After I had made a comment, (a constructive criticism) about the lack of seating in the outside area she brought out our gluten free brownies, gave clearly giving my friend a fresh one and mine looked old and it was solid!!! I was not at all happy and it quite frankly ruined our experience in the cafe 😕 😒 😔 The waitress needs to definitely have a change of attitude towards customers as it doesn't look good for the business...

Very lovely and quaint spot in the courtyard area. The jam and cream scones along with the tea and hot chocolate we had were lovely and more than enough to fill us. Unfortunately the wait whilst sat outside whilst looking directly at a waitress tall dark hair and glasses chatting away and laughing to what we assume was her two friends or people she knew was terrible. She had no acknowledgment that we were there until she had finished her important funny conversation with the two she definitely knew. Shame to moan and we would still return.

We came to Tim's place last year whilst staying in Wadebridge on holiday, it's really nice , has a sun terrace too very pleasant as we sat to drink our coffee ☕. Only thing was how expensive it is, in my head for two americano coffees & ONE slice of fudge brownie I would've thought the most would be £9.50 but was even more shocked when it came to £12.80! How so????? The coffees must've been close on £4.50 each!!! The brownie £3.80 I reckon, so glad I only bought one slice to share! May not visit again as the prices are too high for what you get! Shame cos it's a lovely place but well overpriced!!!

Lovely venue, friendly and reasonably quick service by the young staff, but I have to be honest and say it was a very poor Americano coffee and the caramel slice looked old and on the verge of stale. I'm not normally picky and could almost have forgiven this but for the prices... bad coffee and a stale bun for £8. Shame... so much potential missed. I hope this was just a "bad day" in the shop, but I won't be returning and I won't be recommending anyone else goes there either.

Been going to Tim's since he first opened across the street. Clean, small, bijou, friendly and very good service and great coffee. This was the first time we have been since he moved! There was a time dog where not aloud in eating houses, except for guide dogs and they would sit/lie by their owners feet, not on chairs or sofa's! For us, that was our last visit.

We have been coming to Tim’s for a few years and always received friendly service but last week and the visit before we have been served by a gentleman who has no idea of customer service……we had quite a wait for our order to be taken whilst he put up Xmas decorations and it was not just our party who were annoyed but other comments from other customers waiting were overheard. No friendly welcome at all and this is not the first time, I am not sure if he is the owner or manager but he is not doing this business any favours at all. There are lots of places to choose from in Wadebridge who offer a friendly welcome. The food was ok although expensive for what you receive but always tastes quite good. Inconsistency of staff left us with a mixed picture of this deli cafe. Having been regular customers of the previous ‘Relish’, we returned with optimism for yet again another all round pleasant visit. However, when we arrived this time we were i initially served by a member of staff who seemed to lack the required customer service skills, leaving us feeling rather unwelcome. On the other hand, our drinks arrived along with our scones and the female waitress from the cafe was faultless. Friendly, personable and efficient. An ideal candidate for managing such a great deli and cafe in Wadebridge in the future.

We stopped at Tim's Place in Wadebridge for lunch. The menu looked good if a little pricey. We ordered the Mackerel with Brochette & the Sea Bass with Tagliatelle with sugar snap peas. Both priced at over £13. When they came out they looked good, the Mackerel was lovely cooked to perfection. The only thing was it was the size of a started & not £13 worthy. The Sea Bass was another thing entirely, it looked good but was over cooked somewhat crispy. The pasta was cold & tasteless & sugar snap peas past their best (stringy). We can honestly say we were underwhelmed & disappointed for the £34 (approx) we spent on this snack size meal.

Stopped in here for Lunch when visiting Wadebridge. Service was friendly enough (although had to prompt them to bring the jam and cream, not sure who would order just a dry plain scone). The prices we noted straight away were very expensive. I'm not averse to paying higher prices for higher quality food and the slogan promised 'the best of cornwall'. My daughters 'childrens' cheese sandwich grated cheese on sliced white bread, no Crisps or salad on the side £7.00. £3.50 for a can of Lemonade. My wife said her soup of the day was passable but at £8.50 a small portion and massively overpriced. A single plain scone with jam and cream (no tea) £3.95 was dry, overcooked and crumbly, more like a biscuit. Refusing to pay £10 for a simple ham and cheese sandwich I opted for the £13.50 ploughman's board, expecting thick carved slices of ham, salad, some nice fresh crusty bread. I got one and a half slices of wafer thin ham, 4 tiny pickles onions, literally 4 or 5 salad leaves, a handmade scotch egg (bland and stodgy) 4 tiny end slices of stale sourdough bread and a wedge of cheddar. The prices just couldn't be justified by the quality, what rubbed further salt in the wounds was witnessing the gent infront of me when paying claiming 'locals rate' and getting about a third off, I get doing discounts for locals but to feel that the prices had been hiked even more for tourists left a bit of a bitter taste in the mouth.

The cafe is clean, inviting and our tables, chairs etc were cleaned before we sat down. Social distancing measures were in place and hand sanitizer provided. The waitresses were polite, helpful and attentive. We were well looked after and had no issues with the service we received As we only had coffee and cake I cannot comment on the hot food however the coffee was hot and tasty and the cakes fresh. If I had one minor observation it would be that the cake slices served, particularly my partners were rather small for the money. To be fair however both were the last slices of each selection available. An enjoyable visit and reasonable value for what we paid.

We popped here on Saturday to have some lunch as a treat after visiting our Wedding venue. It was our Wedding planner that has recommended the place and to be honest left disappointed. When we arrived, we were greeted by a blonde girl who wasn’t very friendly, however the waitress with brown hair was much more helpful. The cakes looked fantastic, but we were hungry so decided to order the steak sandwich with caramelized onion chutney with 2 teas. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy, a few couples sitting quietly. The sandwiches came to the table and were rare (generally I would order my steak medium rare) but assumed it would come out cooked through. We only had a few pieces in each sandwich and the it tasted awful. It tasted like frying steak and not rump steak. The onion chutney, well it didn’t taste or seem like chutney. I left half of mine because it wasn’t very nice. This is only the 2nd time I’ve ever felt like I’ve not wanted to pay for my lunch, but I really resented paying and the only reason I did, the restaurant/café so quiet I felt too embarrassed to complain. We paid £22 for 2 sandwiches and 2 teas and I really felt ripped off.

I've been going to Tim's Place since it first opened and he was in his first premises. The food over the years has been excellently cooked and great quality. Not the cheapest but ... you get what you pay for. I thoroughly recommend this place.

Having looked around Wadebridge for an appealing coffee shop we were almost giving up when my other half chanced upon a sign on a side street - which we were very happy that we followed up. Everything was home made and very good - and the setting is lovely - just a shame it is so small as I would imagine it would be a struggle to find a seat in busier times of the year. Service was really lovely. A gem.

Stopped in here for breakfast, we were allowed to bring our dog into the restaurant. I had American pancakes with maple syrup and bacon, my other half had a small Cornish breakfast. Both were very enjoyable and well done, the cafe had a very nice atmosphere and the staff were friendly and attentive

We have had a few breakfasts here and they have been very enjoyable. They also do lunches which we have not tried but are sure to be good. The cakes also look delicious. I would thoroughly recommend Tim’s

Tims place is a lovely find, not a big cafe so it's nice and cosey. We visited here with friends did 7 of us in total and Sat upstairs in the fab seating area a couple of us had the amazing italian hot chocolate (Would recommend) food is so fresh a fab I had the fish finger sandwich which was the best I've had. Overall a fab little place to meet up grab a bite to eat and chat. When visiting I would definitely come here again.

On our way back from a day out in Cornwall, we stopped in Wadebridge at teatime. We saw several cafes, most already closed - or in one case a 'deterrent' sign in the doorway saying they were closing! - even though it was not yet 4pm. Then we found this one, down a narrow street off the pedestrianised high street.

We came for breakfast with extended family. Staff were accommodating and friendly but we were left disappointed with the food. First of all they simply left the mushrooms off everyone's breakfast, and secondly they committed the unforgivable crime of putting extremely brown/gray avocado on our plates. The type of avocado you'd put into the bin immediately, when opening at home. No thank you!

We visited for a cream tea and were not disappointed. The scones were crumbly, the jam delicious and oodles of cream. The staff were very attentive

We were looking for somewhere to have a cream tea and Tim's Place looked most inviting from the outside. I was looking forward to a nice warm scone with plenty of jam and cream. The scone was a peculiar shape, very hard and crusty, in fact I couldn't eat mine. On the up side, there was plenty of jam and cream. It was an expensive cream tea costing £11.10p for two people. I wasn't impressed!

Wadebridge was very quiet and we needed sustenance. This little nook provides good value light lunches - we had a super warm quiche with mixed salad, an excellent plateful! Coffee was good too. The service was welcoming and Tim's Place was excellent value at under £25.

Firstly, I am local….. Secondly, I speak the truth… Thirdly, I am glad that the prices remain reasonable to the working class family man…… Although the decor might be a little bit tiring, the hospitality compensates…… On the last at least…. This place does amazing food…. Fantastic variety and the special board fluctuates…. I just don’t think that anybody that is down earth Can fully understand what it must be like to run a business. It’s like the same goes spread all your cards out and choose wisely. I have eaten all over the world up and down throughout the UK…. And I don’t remotely care what negativity comments I read on here about the coppice…. I salute every individual under the Employment of the establishment. Therefore, I totally recommend anyone to try this place. If you are too posh to wash and this place is not for you.. And if you do not suffer by piles Then clearly, you are the perfect backside …. And as Dell boy once said…. Bonjour …..

My elderly parents stayed overnight at this charming local inn. They were, from the start, treated with huge care and respect. Staff went above and beyond to cater for their needs which included swapping rooms to allow easier access, housing (and charging) a mobility scooter at some inconvenience and finally ensuring they left and returned safely from their social commitment. Their kindness was amazing. And the room itself was fresh, clean and well maintained with all the charm you would expect in this lovely building.

We booked afternoon tea for family celebrations. Afternoon tea was presented beautifully and was delicious. Our waitress Pinka was friendly and looked after us. The special offer was a bonus too. Highly recommended!
