My wife and I wanted something special for our anniversary meal. We both had rib-eye steak and it was delicious. The staff are friendly and efficient. The menu is changes daily with both meat and seafood dishes. I will try the lobster on our next visit.

Just had dinner at The Boatyard at The Molesworth Arms tonight, the quality of the food here is superb, never had a better medium rare fillet steak… Great friendly service, wide range of drinks and delicious puds too, right in the heart of Wadebridge! Keep it up team Molesworth!

I booked The Boatyard for myself and my husband to have a meal out while our teens stayed in. Unfortunately it wasn’t the experience I was expecting. The boatyard called 1 hour before to say that we wouldn’t be in The Boatyard as they weren’t opening it and we would be in the attached pub. However we could use the boatyard menu. This was a little frustrating as if I wanted to sit in the pub I would have booked that. Being so last minute we had no choice so arrived at the pub and were seated in the window, which was a nice table. We were then given the normal pub menu and was told there was no boatyard menu. There was no ‘catch of the day’ either, so my annoyance is that they obviously knew they were not opening the boatyard so why leave it until 1 hour before to tell us?? I asked if our first drinks could be on the house for the inconvenience (I thought this was a reasonable request) but was at first refused and I had to actually argue with the so called manager to get this. She clearly did not have the authority to grant my request and disappeared to probably call someone. We eventually got our drinks knocked off the bill but the lack of customer service was appalling and I found her quite rude. I must say however that the rest of the staff were lovely and the food was delicious…but wasn’t what we had planned. Maybe we will give it another chance when next there….

2 couples, between us had half lobster, rack of lamb and fillet steak on a hot stone (so you cook it to taste). All absolutely delicious. Small selection of desserts, but also very good. Left feeling well fed but not bloated. Will definitely go back.

Heard great things about the restaurant. So, as I’d been away for a while and was going away again for a long period we booked a local hotel and the restaurant. We were made to feel very welcome. We ordered a bottle of decent wine and put our order in. There was a limited menu (3 starters and 9 main courses of which 4 of the main courses main ingredient was lobster) we both ordered lobster and 5 minutes later we were told they’d sold out despite there being only 3 other tables being occupied and it was only 7:30. We then changed our order and 5 minutes later we were again told that one of our courses was no longer available. Obviously anywhere can run out of stock. But if you don’t have the main thing you’re known for then let the customer know before they order over £30 worth of drinks and if they have to reorder then let them know what else you don’t have beforehand ! We were really looking forward to a special evening and were left feeling very dissatisfied.

This little restaurant is a lovely small place where the dining is very intimate. It’s the perfect spot for a romantic dinner, especially if you like seafood and steak. The service was patchy, the server took our order without notes and completely messed up the starters. One was correct but the other was wrong, but we waited 25 minutes for the new starter to arrive. Then we wanted to have dessert and drinks outside, but the waiter completely forgot us, after 25 minutes we gave up and settled the bill. There was no apology for forgetting us, or for the starter situation, which is a real shame. The food was lovely though, really tasty, I don’t agree with other reviews that say it’s “pub grub” far from it!

Lovely food, starter of the day - mackerel pate and then Surf and turf and Seafood platter for mains. All was delicious and perfectly cooked. Only criticism would be that the plates were on short legs and were prone to tipping up when cutting food

The Boatyard did not meet expectations. We were celebrating a special occasion so wanted a special meal. It was average, at best. The starter was nice. My wife ordered a lobster surf and turf. The meal arrived on a plastic plate. The steak was ok, but the lobster was either cooked from frozen or overcooked. Chips were unseasoned cheap fries. I had an eton mess sundae for desert. We laughed when it arrived. Ice cream, cheap strawberry sauce, a smashed up meringue nest and squirty cream on top. not a fresh strawberry in sight. If I was a 5 year old, it would have been ok. Polite, but very inexperienced staff. Advice - Get a chef, rather than a cook. Quality of food just takes a bit of love and vision. As locals, we were disappointed and wont be returning or recommending.

Amazing. Really couldn't fault anything. Spot on food and the service received from Kieron was 5*. Being local we normally go next door to the Molesworth arms and tried something different. Was definitely worth it. Nice intimate restraunt with a really relaxed atmosphere. Would highly recommend the cocktails and lobster.

Six of us booked dinner this week. The Boatyard is an annex to the Molesworth Arms and offers a more exclusive dining experience. Not a huge place but good atmosphere. Menu was varied if not huge & steak on a sizzling slate was superb as was the salmon. Wine was a bit expensive but about par and quality bottles. Good service from Kieran We have booked again & can thoroughly recommend Neil

Ferry was cancelled today so ended up here with a group of friends who had travelled 90 minutes in both directions! Ended up spending four hours as the weather was so bad, lots of coffee and then lunch. Food was amazing and they were very happy to accommodate the dietary needs of one of our group with a bespoke meal. No hurry, not rushed or trying to get us out the door, lovely friendly service.

THIS is how to run a restaurant! Almost absolutely faultless (only not completely as they didn't have the key lime pie available on either of our visits but, whilst dissapointing, didn't overly detract from our experience). From the outset, warmly greeted, super friendly & very efficient staff. Fantastic atmosphere, incredible food and at really good prices, especially given the quality. On our 1st visit, I went for the Buffalo Ranch Burger .. omg, I've not had a Buffalo burger this good since California! Oh, and the cheesey fries? Amazing! Booking recommended, particuarly at Weekends. Seriously, if you're visiting Falmouth and don't visit Boo Koos then you're doing yourself a massive dis-service!

Amazing! I visited here with my nephew who has special needs. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, the premises is super hygienic, the on street seating arrangements are brilliant with lovely views of the seafront and most importantly the food was lovely. They even gave us some surprise free samples. Would definitely recommend !
