Was a nice place and nice pancakes. Unlimited hot drinks a bonus. Price was too high though in my opinion. 3 pancakes with drinks £50.

A bit of a hidden gem. We went here for brunch and had a great time. Dog friendly too. The food was very nice. There is a play area for the kids. Would go back again.

I popped in for a coffee in relaxed surroundings to have a coffee and read. The atmosphere was chilled, the service was amazing and the flat white was perfect. Thank you to all at The Pancake Barn x

We came across this little gem almost by accident as our usual breakfast place had closed at short notice. Such a lovely location, with goats and rabbits and a fantastic play area for kids. Fair warning they do have an absolutely adorable big dog. Very soft and brilliant with the kids but can see how would be intimidating if you're not a dog lover. Pancakes were amazing, kids options were brilliant - they even put sparklers in for them! It's a really fine balance not to make a stack of pancakes stodgy and too filling but these were just right.

The pancakes were delicious, free refills on excellent coffee. The staff were lovely and approachable, to top it all off you can feed the goats for free! Highly recommend to anyone visiting.

Pancakes were delicious but the toppings were a bit sparse and the ingredients tasted a little cheap. The menus say a sauce is included but I was charged extra for having one sauce with my food. Great location and fun to feed the goats after your meal. Service is a bit iffy, was told it was table service but after 20 mins of nobody coming we just went up and ordered. Also we ordered and paid for something then somebody came out 10 mins later and told us it was actually sold out. Not many savoury veggie options although they do have veggie bacon if you ask for it :)

Fantastic little place! The owners and their staff were nothing but friendly and welcoming. Making my daughters visit extra special! The food was absolutely incredible and the animals they have there are friendly and great fun! I would highly recommend you stopping by this place and supporting these people! 10/10

My husband has never been here, so I suggested going in as we pass it most days. We ordered a breakfast with American maple pancakes. The pancakes themselves were so fluffy and the quality of the rest of the food was high; sorry no photos as we were too hungry. I had to pass some of my meal onto my husband as it was a generous plate! The coffees were beautifully made. We ate inside, but took our coffees out into the garden to soak up the atmosphere. I was enamoured with the animals, but what drew me were the secret areas of seating dotted around the garden. There was a good play area for littlies. Staff were just lovely, attentive and polite. I couldn't resist smelling the fragrant flowers and herbs! One to visit if you are in the area!

It's an amazing hidden gem. I've lived in Cornwall all my life and have never heard of it til now. So glad that we found it. The pancakes are light and fluffy. The staff are approachable and friendly. And it's in a beautiful location. For the first time ever, I tried a Canadian pancake (with bacon and maple syrup). Why have I not eaten this before?! It is a mouthgasm!!

Really sweet place and amazing staff, dog friendly if you need it too. Food was brilliant for our first visit and I loved my hot chocolate, definitely recommend!

Me and my partner took our 3 year old daughter here and she absolutely loved it , got to feed to goats and play on the swings etc. Afterwards we went inside for a bit and had a really nice chat with the owner Kim who was so friendly and even sat with our little girl. I strongly recommend this place as it is by far the most friendly place I have taken my family and will be sure to come back again.

I took my elderly aunt for lunch, we were made very welcome and given a very cosy place by the fireplace. The food was great well presented.

Have been twice during our two week stay in Cornwall the Crepes are fantastic well worth a visit if looking for something sweet other than a cream team

As a local iv come before and had to walk away as Service was disappointing. However I persevered and have come back and was pleasantly surprised good food really good Services the only let down is the price this can be forgiven due to current inflation but really should be less as food products are clearly not top quality I think if it was £20 for two to eat would be accurate and I would consider coming back £32 is just to much but again if money is no issue worth a visit

The food was really over priced and some of the pancakes were under cooked and some over cooked. None of the toppings looked like photos advertised online, it was on the lean side considering you're paying about £15 for a pancake! A shame because it's a nice location and the staff were friendly.

Beautiful place to eat, nice quality food and came out quick. Service was excellent and the animals were a bonus! We will definitely come again

Such wasted potential! I don't want to be harsh because the staff were exceptional. Efficient and friendly. But... The food was not very hot and the whole place has a run down feeling. Scruffy and a bit neglected. The play area could be so much nicer and I don't think a few goats and rabbits merit the description they get on line. Everything is so expensive these days and there is super hot competition in this area I don't think I would pay over £60 for four pancake breakfast again.

Probably the worst kid party I've ever attended, service is abismal at best and food is hugely overpriced, £1.75 for a warm can of coke

We arrived for Sunday breakfast pancakes. The place looks a little tired and the service wasn't great, the waitress suggested she 'might' be able to get to us but if not to order inside. The food was similar to a children's birthday party, and for nearly £30 two stacks of pancakes and two coffee's, I feel it was significantly overpriced.

Good service but very expensive. It cost me £30.00 for two crepes, two coffees and a coke. The crepes were very thin, overcooked and crispy. The toppings were also very small amounts (£1.50 for a dozen blueberries)

Loved the whole pancake experience, the staff are kind and helpful and it was great fun feeding the goats and all in a lovely garden. Highly recommend!

Great choice of pancake toppings and 3 different serving suggestions for the pancakes themselves. We had the apple crumble and the banoffee pancakes and can 100% recommend. Milkshake was disappointing, hence the 4 star review. Easy to find, good parking, bit of a hidden gem this one

Staff are very friendly always making sure that your experience is good, the food is of great quality, my wife and I were very impressed with the overall experience and even catered for my 19 month baby with a bowl of fruit.

Arrived at 11.45. Spent time with grandchildren in play area and them seeing the animals. Went in restaurant and sat at 12.15. Had to clear table, and ask for it to be wiped down. Went too order at 12.40, infront were 2 families asking for refunds as been waiting too long. I asked how long a delay, was told at least 1hour 15mins, other tables were told 15 minutes and had already waited 1 hour. Very very poor. Was not even busy. We decided to go to Wheal Dream next door, ordered pancakes there, and was served within 20 minutes. I like Pancake Barn and their pancakes but they need to sort a better system.for speeding up service. Either more prep in advance or get another chef in.

Arrived at 3:50pm ( closing times advertised as 4:30pm shutting) got told by two people that we had 5 mins to order and were given menus, decided what to order nearly immediately then were told by the next person that came out that everything had been switched off. Very very disappointing and a ruined day so cheers. Would not recommend.

Amazing place. Such an incredibly relaxing environment. I took my nephews here and they LOVED it. So much to keep them entertained whilst I enjoyed a coffee. The owners were very hands on and really accommodating to our dietary restrictions. Got chatting to a couple next to us who frequent the pancake barn regularly. I’m delighted to hear they are open all year round. I’ll definitely be going back, looking forward to the colder months to enjoy a hot chocolate.

A great spot for some tasty pancakes, a fun outdoor play area for the kids with a plant nursery to browse & animals to pet and feed, would highly recommend a visit!

Lovely friendly staff. Tables & chairs damaged and very sticky. Food came out fast but unfortunately burnt and raw in the middle on the pancakes and sausage. Unfortunately not for us, thank you for your kind staff

Came today for a afternoon/lunch treat. Lovely place, very scenic and colourful! Only came for the pancakes but ended up getting a savoury bite to eat first. Me and my partner decided to share the loaded dirty fries which were delicious and a chicken and bacon burger! The wait time was 40 minutes for the food which we didn’t mind as it was such a lovely day. Our food came and they forgot the burger. We waited another 10 minutes in case it was running behind. It never came so we decided to ask one of the staff members about it in case it was forgotten. She went out there to tell the boys(chefs) that they forgot it. 10 minutes more passed and we still didn’t have the burger. The other people on the table have already finished their meal. So I ask the same waitress, Turns out the boys never put it on to cook as they were too busy cooking and eating themselves. The the waitress herself went and put the burger in bless her. The pancakes were delicious but overpriced for what they are. The waitress, Zadie was amazing!!!! Very helpful and kind! She had a lot on her plate, as it seems she was the only one there who knew what they were doing. The place is lucky to have her as I feel like a lot of people would have walked away unhappy if she wasn’t there! You have a gem there. I think the rest of the team could do with abit more training as they seemed to not know what they are doing. I too work in customer service so I know how stressful it can be! I

Undercooked pancakes (not just gloopy but raw batter inside). The others ordered were gloopy and ruined it tbh

This place was awful. The service was like going back in time to 1980s at one point a 9 year old kid brought some food to the table. They literally had no idea what they were doing.

Front of house girls polite and friendly. But run by young kids. . the language from back of house is disgusting. We have heard everything from the girls period schedules to foul landuage would not recommend again

Lovely place to stop. Staff were really nice food was very good but waited over an hour for pancakes @10o/c shame as we went out the way to visit.

No ice on the hottest day of the year so drinks were warm, waited an hour for 6 mini pancakes, still told would be further wait, paid on card had to refund in cash. Other reviews seem great which is why I was really looking forward to it but just don’t think they could cope and we’re understaffed today so left empty handed.

This place is amazing. A ton of vegan options and the staff were very helpful and friendly. There are animals to watch and feed, a playground, and lots of seating inside and out. If you're in the area it's well worth detouring to stop here!

Called in for a coffee and also had a lovely piece of cake too. Lovely staff friendly and efficient. The food looked great and I will be coming back to have some. Beautiful gardens to sit in or eat inside. A play park for children and some goats and chickens to see and I saw rabbits too. A well run establishment. 😊

Staff couldn't do enough for us, so friendly and attentive! Beautiful decor, dog friendly and yummy pancakes. I loved that we could build our own and customise them as we have sensory issues. Also veggie and GF options. Would highly recommend!

Lovely find, first time today but will definitely be back. Friendly helpful staff and delicious pancakes with generous portion sizes. Only negative, there was only one vegetarian option for my foster girl although she could have had a couple of options without the bacon. Actually there is another negative, could have done without the tv, but a minor irritation.

Excellent food, excellent staff, just a lovely setting. 2 play areas for the children to enjoy along with a few animals. We absolutely love coming here! Highly recommend.
