Love this Costa. Recently renovated and it looks great. So much space inside. I don't like that there's one toilet though. The staff were friendly and very efficient. The place was very clean and had plenty of seating and parking.

I’ve had a really lovely experience at the cafe every time I visit. The coffee and customer service was (as always) lovely and they were accommodating to everything I asked for/ wanted. We chose our lunch from the specials board which was delicious. We’ll definitely be returning! Also, there was a large range of pastries which were huge !

The service was lovely and our waitress was great. But the food was average at best, they try to be different and say u need 6 sharing meals but it all comes out as basically starters and then mains. The starters were boring, garlic bread was really tough and the beef skewers were flavourless and chewy. the mains were ridiculously small for the price, £65 got us about 400g of steak to share. you are better off eating anywhere else to be honest

I Got invited to a birthday here, if you want to burn money for crap food and drink then this is the place!! I have eaten in a lot of posh places but this by far is the worst iv ever been to, over priced food and drink, 3 glasses of wine £54… if it was good wine then yes but is was worst then Sainsbury’s taste the difference for £8 a bottle food wasn’t great either.. if your looking for this type of food just go to Wagamama as you got a lot more for your money… would never go here again or even recommend to anyone

Pie night here surpasses even the big chain pubs a couple of miles away because The White Lion never disappoints with its brilliant pies of which there are several to choose. I had the Deer & Beer that comes with a rich thick gravy on the side ( not like that other chain pub which pours it all over the pastry to ruin it) plus mixed veg of generous proportion ( not a couple of peas and and some carrot thrown in like the chain pub) all beautifully cooked with the cauliflower absolutely perfect. What is more it’s £15 with a beer or a glass of wine etc., included. It is marvelous both product and price.

Came here for my parents anniversary as my dad has coeliac disease. The food was so tasty! The setting is beautiful and the choice on the menu was great. But it’s the staff that make it! They decorated the table for us, which looked fab, and when two of our party were delayed they were really accommodating. All I can say is thank you so much and I’m so glad we chose to come, and recommend the pub to everyone!

Well cooked with flavour & tenderness, marinated meats were amazing. Came with a party of 11 on Saturday 1st March. Quite pricey, the starters were all a tenner and some of the mains were over £60 for 2 sharing. The emphasis on the dishes is for sharing (apart from a small number of dishes for 1 person) when you come here. The milkshakes are delicious too. Nice ambience and a very trendy place.

Always very friendly. It's clear they have regulars in as well which is nice - they too are greeted with a friendly smile!

No bar food and revolting lager tasting like soap. Had another side business indian takeaway upon the place that is placed now on the last used kitchen that is was condemed by health and safety due to this being a old toilet block that still consists of sewage and drains!!. DO NOT EAT FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Try the village for the real deal

The gardens were lovely, however we wanted to have tea in the topiary garden. So disappointing. The scones were awful they were so hard! ( it's not difficult to make a fresh scone). Paper cups, paper basin for the scone and victoria sponge. Cardboard knives! Cardboard spoons ! What ever has happened to enjoying a piece of cake and a cup of tea on a proper plate. Has this lackadaisical attitude evolved since lockdown? (It seems the case in many other places too). Or are we becoming a "can't be bothered society".
