I tried the chicken strips and chips from here. The chips were fairly typical quality for a takeout: decent but not fantastic. The chicken strips were quite bland and no better than a frozen product; they weren't particularly bad, per se, but still underwhelming. Pricing was reasonable, costing me about £6 for one person, although only cash payments were being accepted at the time of my visit (August 2024).

I think the founders would be appalled at what McDonald's has now become .It used to be the case that McDonald's was fast,cheap and reliable, sadly today its slow,expensive and if they ever get the order right it's a miracle. After avoiding McDonald's for a while because of waiting times I visited McDonald's Southampton,made my order with festive toffee pie and double cheeseburger and 6 nuggets .After an expected wait I collected my order to be asked by staff" Do you really want the toffee pie because its going to take ages? ,if there something else you would like instead?"so...I said OK apple pie please.went and sat down...no nuggets in the bag.I went up and explained and was asked if I had checked the bag correctly so I went back and double checked...no nuggets .The staff member apologised and handed over the missing nuggets.I went back to eat the meal with the family only to find that the double cheeseburger I had ordered was infact just a cheeseburger ? ,so up again to explain and get it replaced by which time all the food was now cold.Mcdonalds was once something you could rely on now its an absolute mess and not a pleasurable experience anymore.

What’s the point! No one in this country seems to want to work with pride or respect for the customer anymore!! At least I can say this knowing I care about my job and work hard.. no one seems to want to make a difference. No company wants to take responsibility for their staffs actions and the staff at KFC are taught to ignore the complaining customers instead of resolving the issues. Just had the worst cooked meal and as I was collecting it advised that now twice before they had forgotten items. Not even an apology on behalf of the company. Or anyway of making it right! I have now waisted £15 in the last two weeks!! I said I would never go back from today! Not that KFC would care! Always replaceable right!! 🤣. Joke!
