The golden pond food is good and all but lucky house is better

Had a home delivery literally minutes ago at approximately 8.05.... Delivery lady knocked the door and I thanked her for the Chinese. Unfortunately, in a really shitty and condescending tone, she said "it's not been paid"!..... Well, what do you want me to do, balance the bag of food on my head or have the decency to wait 10 seconds for me to venture into my living room to collect the cash?.... You decide. Try some kindness and a little bit of courtesy before you speak to anyone like that.

Went In to order, was told have to pay cash. I went and got money from cashachine When I went back, someone else was paying by card! Won't go back there again.

Bad hygiene in back and closed for vermin issues several times will never use

would give 0 stars if I could due to the delivery time being very long. I ordered at 5:30 and it didn't arrive until 7:30. absolutely disgraceful, don't recommend especially if you want it delivered in good timing. won't be going here again

I tried Golden Pond on Friday as my normal Chinese takeaway was closed and I was scared to try it out. I’ve got to say that it has outnumbered my expectations and this is now my go to Chinese takeaway. The food was lovely and had an amazing flavour. I normally go to the China Garden and the chicken chow mein is quite bland however this chicken chow mein has got amazing flavours and it’s not as greasy. I highly recommend getting food from here. The banana fritters were also lovely. The delivery woman was also a pleasant person to speak to. Thank you for the service.

Ordered a few dishes this evening, prawn curry, sweet and sour chicken balls.kung po prawns, pancake roll ,fried rice. Must say was lovely, nice and hot, this was for two people. , chicken balls were nice and dry and tasty. All the other dishes were nice a as well. Will be ordering again and recommending. Cheers

Always our go to Chinese. Staff are lovely and the food is always tasty and piping hot. Never ever had a problem in the all the years we have been using this Chinese take away.

I've just ordered some take away absolutely discusting the spare ribs came out a greyish colour the pork noodles had a foul smell coming from it I've asked the lady for a refund no joy there she only had the audacity to pick her nose In front of me whilst I was complaining avoid at all costs to sum it up in a short sentence your better off eating your own poo with a bit of brown sauce avoid like the plague........

Still the best Chinese for us and we have tried a few in the area. Delivered in record time and food was hot. Would recommend

Have had takeaways from here before & usually ok, tonight tho it was almost inedible, SO much salt, a bit of salt adds flavour but they must of thrown the whole bag in, we're expecting a thirsty night!, Two beef chow miens , spoilt our NYE takeaway not sure we'll be back.

This Chinese takeaway is Good, however allow one hour and a half for home delivery.Seriously out of order, and I will not be ordering a home delivery again, unless they can be reasonable on time, they estimated 45 mins wait. It spoils the evening when this happens.

Great quality of food, came very quickly and was nice and hot. Value for money is also very good! Would definitely order again.

Ordered takeaway, told it would be just over an hour, One and a half hours later no delivery, phoned the take away to be told they were just about to start cooking it, half an hour later still no delivery and they were not answering the phone. Drove the to the takeaway, another 20 minute in time later to get refund and cancel order only to be told its ready!!!! Got money back and wont ever be back.

so.. I ordered a chicken curry from golden pond last night at 6:30. It later came to my house at 9:30 and when i opened the door the delivery man spat at me for telling him he was late. When i opened the container i saw a long brown hair in the curry sauce. I was upset by this and phoned up but they have blocked my number. so please dont order from here as it is unrealiable. Never Again!!

Wanted to buy my Mum a nice Chinese as I live in London, but she is local. Food was great, piping hot and service with a smile, which is always good.

Not had a bad dish here and delivery is available. Can't pay with card though and this stops me going back very often.

Consistently good, quick and clean. Didn't take card payment though which is a pain. The food isnt greasy and is good quality. Give this takeaway a go.
