Great portions, the food was really nice, exactly what you expect from a fish and chip shop, as well as some nice surprises on the menu. Value for money is great and service was friendly, speedy, and accurate. Definate recommend.

Best chippy in Southampton? The best thing at this shop is the milkshake !!! The food is absolutely terrible, under cooked chips, fishcake rock solid, asked for no sauce on chips and he put ketchup on them and said it was my fault, avoid at all costs 😡

Visited Easter Sunday normally such great service drove out of my way for food spent £27 and when I arrived home both cod roes were freezing cold in the middle not very impressed

Love this chio shop. Cater for gluten free daily. Alternative items to chips. Jacket potatoes, burgers etc. Their ice cream milkshakes are delicious.

Brilliant fish and chip. We had 2 regular chicken kebabs, you get tons of chicken, all well cooked. Lots of salad too! Definitely didnt need a large as the regular was huge! We also had large chips which was also massive and perfectly cooked. Would return...

Slowly been going down hill .chips always seem to be rubbery and alot of black ones . Twice now ordered kebab chip butty and the the rolls have had green mould on them. Fish was so over done it was just batter .A bottle of drink was 2 months out of date.u tell them and they either get angry or just laugh as if yr lying. Used be lovely here but 100% going down hill !

We drive quite a distance for Kingfisher takeaways. The best chips. Crispy batter on their fish. My husband loves the mixed kebab wrap. Definitely recommend.

It was amazing their chips were very cheap a large was under 3 pound while being about 1kg in total it was very nice the battered and plain sausages were both equally enjoyable however the sauce was heavily overpriced and it did have a somewhat rushed atmosphere

The battered burger was dark orange a sign that the oil is old,, it was dripping in oil and took over 6 napkins to get rid of it all,, same with the curry spring rolls which were very spicy. Chips were ok,, unfortunately wouldn’t go again starbar chip shop so much better

Visited yesterday & so pleased we decided to come here! Everything was cooked fresh to order. Chips were beautiful & a good sized portion, the batter on pineapple was crispy & soooooo delicious! Definately 5***** ☺️

Top chippy. Tasty chips which are hot and fresh with all the gorgeous bits. Amazing battered banger and equally gorgeous fish. A top price too with a quick friendly service. What more do you when only a chippy tea will do.

A couple of negatives, They got our telephone order wrong and I believe they are over priced a touch but food they produce does taste nice and they are busy often so others must also like the produce they offer.

Our local fish and chips, clean and friendly stuff, food is always made fresh and piping hot and reasonably priced too, we always call in advance and pick up the food and go never had any complaints, and if you order at the counter not usually a long wait either

Large portions and the food was nice

This is by far the friendliest and best tasting fish bar in Southampton!, and the choice on offer of food is astonishing from kebabs, pies, scampi, battered fritters you name it they do it 😋. Would not go anywhere else great value for kids meals and free drinks on certain orders I go there all the time when cooking dinner is a chore this place is a must.

Had a burger and chips pleasantly surprised when I open the box looked good ,nice salad good burger loads of chips.we worth the money,won't be buying a burger from any where else again loved it.

We dropped by here to get a kebab and chips, the staff where really friendly, very helpful, really efficient staff too. The food was well wrapped, tasted delicious and the portions sizes of the portions sizes where really generous. Real good value for money and I would highly recommend this place to anyone, local or afar. Will definitely be going back again

We got a couple of the lunch time specials to take away. When we got home (2min drive) we found the fish was under cooked and still had all of the scaly skin on! If I had of thrown it back in the sea then the other fish probably wouldnt of even realised it was dead! The fish was disgusting and the chips weren't very warm either. This used to be a fantastic chippy but on this evidence it's gone drastically down hill. Very disappointing and a complete waste of money.

Used to be really nice but today's was vile x4 cod & chips specials. Dough soggy batter and black skin over the fish yuck!! Such a shame as we treated my parents and they couldn't eat it either.

Went here because our local chippy was closed, the portions were much bigger than we're used to. Nice chips and the batter on the fish was better than we usually have Will go there again even though it's 10 minutes away.

Popped in here for the first time last week. I ordered the small fish and chips. It was delicious and a goid size portion. I will be back here often. I highly recommend this place. Its clean, friendly, affordable and good.

This place has certainly got alot better since I last went there (about 8-10 yrs ago) chips were really nice and not too much of a wait even though it was rather busy

I’ve just come in (1.45) and ordered sausage and chips. You charged me £3.80 but when I got home there was just a handful of chips for my money. I tried phoning but no answer so I drove back and you closed at 2pm then I read on the door that you are advertising two large sausages and chips for £3.50 before 2pm. I am really disappointed as I recommend everyone to your chippy usually. EDIT: thank you for the offer of a free meal next time to compensate me. I am grateful that you have addressed my concerns.

LOVE THIS PLACE, GREAT FRESH FOOD, FAIR SIZE PORTIONS AND FRIENDLY STAFF, EXTREMELY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 normally love this place and have used it for years, don't phone order anything they cook often like the COD just has the driest cardboard like fish I'd ever seen in my life, and as for the chips I've seen better crisps, don't know what's going on guys, but keep serving food like this and I certainly won't be coming back, last meal was minus 2 stars 👎👎👎👎👎
