Hillmans Burger in Southampton

I never usually leave reviews, but I'm staying in Southampton for work and the Peking duck special from Hillmans might be the best takeaway burger I've ever found in the UK. Even the box it comes in unfolds itself and presents it nicely to you as you open the lid.

I ordered a burger last night from them and woke up with food poisoning symptoms (nausea, stomach pains, fever, and diarrhea).

Probably the best burgers I've had. Delivered in fancy boxes that fold out into plates. Little bit pricey but absolutely worth it, good vegetarian options

I can't find words to describe their burgers. They are, without a doubt, the best grilled burgers in Southampton! The prices are very reasonable as well.

This has got to be, hands down, the best burger place in the whole area. I've ordered from them time and time again without regret, always cooked to perfection, always tastes amazing. Pricing is really fair for the quality of the food and its preparation, an outstanding gem in Southampton and you'd be hard pushed to find better in the surrounding towns and cities either!

Ordered 3 burgers and a chicken dish. The burgers were well prepared but only warm when collected. The chicken dish was tasty but arrived cold. It was prepared before the burgers and put ready to one side. We can see the grilling done only a few feet away from the front counter and ALL the meat is cooked on the same grill.. so anyone not eating bacon would be do well to stay well away. Personally, I won’t recommend to anyone, and I won’t be going back.

After trying few burger joints in Southampton I can honestly say this one is the best. Their burgers are delicious, packaged very nicely. Their fries are always fresh, crispy and have that golden colour. This is my new go to for burger meals. The staff is always nice and treat you well. Keep it up guys. Great work.

We have been ordering from Hillmans for over a year now. Never disappointed, always delicious, fresh food, and the owner is lovely. Definitely recommend trying their Londoners burger.

Tasty chicken steak cooked on a charcoal grill which gave it lots of flavour. Friendly service. Meal deal was good value with a serving of chips and drink. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely shocking service. We ordered through just eat and when our food was due to be delivered it got marked as delivered however no food in sight. Rang restaurant several times it was always just five minutes away even when they said they were talking to driver and they weren't. We were told lies with one saying they only had one driver and then another saying they had two drivers. We were also hung up on by them. Absolutely no apology or offer of discount for the inconvenience. Such a shame as the burgers are generally good but I won't use them again as they don't seem to understand how to treat a customer. Food turned up an hour late and stone cold. Still no apology. Had to literally threaten drastic action to get them to send a new order out and will be contacting just eat for a refund.

Do not order from this establishment they will serve you cold left overs then refuse a refund.

Tasty burgers cooked on a charcoal grill which gives the patty a really lovely smokey flavour. Good quality patty too - tender and no gristle. Generous serving of chips. Will definitely be back!

It was strange watching them prepare the burger using just regular supermarket ingredients. The oxford don taste ok. The thick chips were pretty good but would have been better if they didn't forget the £1 tub of chilli mayo I asked for....

Rude service! Kept cutting off my phone calls! Had to physically travel 20 mins to them to simply ask about my order! Food was cold and awful! No apology was given!

Amazing food - best 'takeout' burger I've had, and really nice staff. You have to wait a little longer for the food than at other places, but it's worth it because it's actually cooked freshly for you.

Had to leave a review to compliment the generous portion of cheesecake. This wasn't your typical wedge shaped portion, but a larger and multiple layered serving.

My order was delivered somewhere else then got told they would re deliver they haven't and now they are going to drop cash round to me avoid this place it just isn't worth the hassle and I ordered through just eat

The blue cheese sauce is just incredible , the salads are beautiful perfect for a lunch at work , the burgers not only look amazing but Taste amazing ! Friendly professional staff . Oh My Dayum!! I just had a delivery of a Smokin Beef Burger & a Cake. The delivery was as promised, the burger turned up perfectly stacked in its box and it looked great!! The taste of it was fantastic, so juicy and had a lovely fresh flavour! Can't wait to try another burger 😋

Amazing takeaway. Really fancied a burger and stumbled across Hillmans Burger and very happy I did. Delivery was dead on time, chips were huge, crunchy outside, soft in the middle. The double beef burger was the size of my head and delicious and was all piping hot. The only negative thing is that I ordered Jalapeños but they weren't there. Still 10/10 though. Highly recommend!

My cousin treated me to a takeaway Beef Burger and chips. I never leave food reviews but this place was exceptional. My burger was scrumptious, moist, perfect temperature and crisp red onion fresh tomato slice and butter lettuce. The bun was divinely fresh and the side of sweet potato fries were better than most 5 star restaurants. The portion is ample and the quality was delicious. I highly recommend this wonderful take-away. This was a gourmet meal, not just a takeaway.

The Reggae Reggae chicken burger was absolutely amazing. The salad was fresh and chicken cooked to perfection. The sauce and slice of bbq mango works a treat.

Quick delivery + the driver was extremely friendly. Had never tried here before as have never seen it, however tonight we fancied a change of takeaway for our cheat night and I can honestly say it did not disappoint at all. When it arrived it was perfect temperature and the presentation was amazing considering it was a take away. The meat of my pulled pork burger wasn't dry like most places it was cooked very well and was very moist. Will be recommending to all of our family + friends and without a doubt will be ordering again!!

A bit on the pricey side but wow, the burger and chips are amazing. Flame grilled meat and chips cooked to perfection. I doubled up on the burger and had to disassemble to be able to eat it. I never review but credit where credit is due, 5 stars.

This burger was insane, so delicious worth every penny. The burger was moist and I would of liked a extra piece of bacon even that was cooked to perfection! It was sooo filling and I shared it with my sister. Can't wait to order again and try out another 🍔
