Honestly food was amazing, canāt fault that at all! But the customer service was appalling, we turned up to an empty restaurant at 5pm asking for a table for 2, and was initially told there were no tables. After saying we wanted to eat right away, we got a table and sat down. Starters were lovely, mains came and I ordered a burger with chips, and it felt like I was asking for the world when I requested some Mayo. They didnāt check whether the food was okay half way through, when we asked for the bill, they came over to collect the mains and didnāt ask whether we enjoyed the food. Service charge added straight away, so we removed as I didnāt feel it was deserved. Weird atmosphere, but couldnāt fault the food!

Never have i had such an awful experience with any takeaway whatsoever. Iāll begin with the fact that the food was late, but thatās not that big of a deal. The first issue lies with the fact that half the food was either missing or wrong. Missing 3 rices, Naan was wrong. Again iām a forgiving person iāve had this before with takeaways and usually quick phone call and itās sorted. Didnāt receive a refund, new food or anything. Theyāve said i can get a discount soon and thatās it. Aswell iāve never had a worst tasting indian. The chicken tikka masala tasted like milk and tomato paste. Food was barely warm. Iām suprised because the other reviews arenāt negative. Please note iām not one to have a rant iāve never written a review for anywhere full stop. Please do yourself a favour and go down to asha in ashurst and get food there. Itās closed on a monday so i took my chance with this place. Never again.

After passing this place numerous times over the years, I had the opportunity to visit today, I had a milkshake and pancakes with peanut butter and banana, absolutely delicious, I was the only diner and unfortunately today was their last day of trading, I'm so glad I finally got a visit in, such a shame it's closing tbh, very good food/service at a reasonable price

Exceptional food and exceptional service. I wouldnāt hesitate to recommend to others. We regularly holiday in the area but this is the first time we have tried this restaurant. We will most certainly be back! Thank you.

My wife and I stayed for one night whilst attending a show at Beaulieu. On arrival, the hotel blew us away. Car park entrance was easy to find and is obviously old. Car park is split on 2 levels and can fill up quickly. The front entrance into the reception area is beautiful with a library to one side. Booking in was quick, polite, and friendly. The bedroom was clean and functional although a little small ( but then it is called the snug) clean bath/shower with complimentary soaps/shampoo, etc, and a soft bed. The decor is tastefully done and keeps with the age and character of the building and is in good clean repair. After an afternoon in Lyndhurst (which is only a short walk from the hotel although there are some steep steps to navigate) we took advantage of the 2 for 1 cocktail deal in the bar which again were served by friendly and polite staff. We decided to have an evening meal in the hotel restaurant and on first impression was a warm welcoming area. We were seated swiftly, and it's from then on the night became problematic. Seated quickly, check. menu given, check. water offered, check. water delivered and order taken quick and efficiently, check and then.....forgot about. Bottle of wine ordered and eventually arrived halfway through my starters. The service was ok during our sitting but nothing special I feel for the price. My main meal was overcooked and was mentioned as our plates were collected by the manager who made no comment as he walked away examining the meat left on the plate. Towards the end of the evening, the room lighting can be a problem to read the menu (a couple resorted to using their phone light to be able to read it). On the whole, the restaurant experience was a letdown and over priced. Nearly Ā£150 for a meal for two!!! but was helped at the end by Fay, who couldn't do enough for us, serving us coffee in the garden. Would we stay here again....possibly but I think we would make alternative arrangements for food

We had an absolutely fantastic birthday dinner here, and it matches or exceeds everywhere we ate on our holiday in Italy this year! The service was relaxed but very attentive, and the sommelier was superb, matching wines perfectly to our dishes. Each dish was faultless, from the gnocchi to the veal, paired with a wonderful glass of pinot noir. If we lived in the area we would eat here all the time!
