Had another nice break at The White Rabbit. Location is great to explore the New Forest. Plenty of parking. We had breakfast everyday ,so many options, and we ate here in the evenings as such a nice atmosphere and the food was great. We have stayed here a few times. Sometimes with family, sometimes with friends and we have all returned. What makes this hotel is the staff. They are such a nice team of people. The only thing that we feel needs attention is the rooms do need updating. They are looking a bit tired. Thankyou everyone at The white rabbit, we will see you again soon .

Great hotel in a great location. It's perfect for exploring the New Forest and it's dog friendly too. The staff are very friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. Bunny gave exceptional service and went above and beyond when we had a small issue. The food in the restaurant is good too and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back!

We nearly all ordered different meals and they were all perfect and arrived in great time. We will be seeing you again for sure!

We had a big party over Sunday lunch and the service was excellent, Muriel was attentive, polite, great with the kids and adults. Heard my wish for extra crackling and granted it! Great service, nice setting, fair prices. Thanks Munro and the team

We popped in for a family celebratory Sunday lunch on the off chance to getting a table and we were lucky. The atmosphere was welcoming, friendly and relaxed. We all had the Sunday lunch and pudding. The staff are very friendly and attentive. They even welcome dogs. Out little one was praised by the staff as they didn't know he was there he was quiet and well behaved. Definitely go back.

Brilliant 3 day stay at this place....loads to do in the area...walking distance of Lyndhurst shops and restaurants.Lovely meals .....breakfast superb and we chose to eat here 2 out of 3 nights cos the food was so good. Very friendly helpful staff .Highly recommended.

We popped in for lunch, service was quick and friendly. The tables were clean and clear, Nd the toilets clean. We both had the cheese toastie off the lunch menu which was hot, delicious, nicely presented and fresh. Well worth a trip

Friendly staff who gave us a warm welcome. We would describe the food served as typical pub chain style. What we ate was average. The musroom pie was 3 button mushrooms in a very thick pie crust in a gravy which was like Campbells mushroom soup. I would have liked more vegetables, thinner pastry and a lighter sauce, but that's just my preference. The whole place could do with a good clean and updating, we had 2 dead flies on the window sill next to our table, the seats were stained and one had the foam exposed. Wouldn't rush to return to eat, but would go back for drinks.

We had a really lovely experience. Saturday afternoon - not too busy, fresh and delicious food, and a very knowledgeable and welcoming team. Our server was Bunny, who really went the extra mile to make our experience the best it could be.

Had a special of chicken cheese and leek pie, followed by sticky toffee pudding tonight. Delicious! We had Bunny as our server and she was super attentive. We will be back!

We’ve visited the White Rabbit this evening with friends for dinner. We were served by Bunny and she was amazing! She attended to our every need and made our feel extremely welcome. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. Such a lovely setting. Can recommend wholly.

Always come here for a reboot. Location is spot on for Lyndhurst high street. Bunny and all the other staff are so helpful and friendly you will want to come back. Food is spot on as well . All round great place.

Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately it's another of those hotels/Inns/place with rooms where, with a little effort l, attention to detail and mon y everything could be a lot better. Things like no working fan in the bathroom, no bedside lamp, you could see the joins in the lining paper on the walls as they were coming apart. The pull cord on the light sconce in the bathroom was missing. You could see in the bathroom where the roller had run out of paint as the walls had only been done once. Then you had repeated calls from the prop department of Crossroads calling to ask for their furniture and carpet back. Broken fan in the room then when given a replacement that feel apart and took ten minutes to fix. None of these things are huge but with more effort, attention to detail and a bit of money would've made the stay better and improved the property. Unfortunately I'm guessing that with the Lyndhurst location the corporate powers that be are probably more interested in milking it for all they can rather than spending money.

Staff super lovely and beautiful location. Recommend the signature burger and the 8oz rump steak, along with the salted caramel sundae! However, my sister has coeliacs disease and so required a meal with no gluten. One staff member was super helpful and took her order separately to ensure no contamination. However, due to 5 members of our party ordering steak, her meal was confused in the kitchen and she began to eat a gluten containing meal before our family realised and had to send back. Therefore, please ensure it is double checked if you are attending and ordering for an allergen x

Has a really warm welcome from the friendly man behind the bar. Found a nice quiet spot for a drink and then went into the restaurant for a Sunday roast. Food really good. Would recommend!

We recently visited white rabbit for a 40 th birthday celebration .there were 17 in our party and we were given a whole room to ourselves .we had pre ordered all our meals and the staff checked that we were happy with our orders and were happy to make any changes that we asked for .The staff who served us were Debbie and Don and Bunny and were very helpful and polite .All our meals were served very quickly after our arrival and the Sunday roasts of beef pork and turkey were really tasty and hot and extra jugs of gravy were also provided ..The children's meals were enjoyed by all .the desserts were delicious and we all said we would definitely make another visit whether in a big party or individuals .

A lovely meal, 5 star service from Bunny and the rest of the team, all the food was cook to perfection and arrived on time despite it being Saturday evening.

We used the White Rabbit 3 or 4 times during our 10 day stay in Lyndhurst. On each occasion, whether we were earing formally or just in for a quick snack and a drink, the service was very good and the food sensational. The cottage pie croquet were one of my favourites! On a couple of our visits we were served by Bunny, who was very attentive and interacted beautifully with my granddaughters and made us feel properly at home. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

Lovely food and in a nice location of Lyndhurst and ideal for disabled people parking is good and there are rooms to stay in overnight.

Spent four nights in the hotel. Very comfortable and clean room. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. I had breakfast and dinner. Very good food.

Hard to describe this place. There was an odd atmosphere here when we arrived. We came into the pub and there was no one at the bar and we waited several minutes till a member of staff appeared. There didn’t seem to be enough staff at the pub and granted there were quite a few people at the pub when we arrived but then it got quieter but there was still quite a wait on the food. The food tasted good but in my opinion it was overpriced for what it was. There’s a nice outside area to sit and eat and the staff were pleasant and friendly when bringing out the food etc but seems like there is not enough staff working here to cope with demand on a warm sunny day.

Had a Sunday carvery here which was delicious and good value for money (except the roast potatoes that were solid little cubes. But that's because they are the best bit for me on a roast) The caramel sunday was gorgeous and I regret choosing to share it with the husband. Warning ⚠️ Don't share your puddings have your own they are too yummy!😋

Didn't use the rooms, so no rating. Travelled down for a New Forest gravel ride, so pre-booked a table. It's a Greene King pub......ALWAYS good value, great food with regular menu changes. You can depend on a good selection of beer/ale. Staff always very good, courteous and attentive

Lovely cosy pub just on the north side of Lyndhurst.

I'm not the sort of person who ever complains about food but today I am. My first choice was sold out and second choice was sold out so I opted for the mushroom and ale pie. It was 75% air; the mushroom and ale so called filling was watery and like gravy with one solid mushroom lump which I savoured for the end mouthful. Honestly, it was pastry with gravy. To boot I got seated with my dog in the wrong area and ended up having to move mid drink in my hand. The manager was rude and completely ignored me when I left but the waitress was lovely, not her fault bless her, she was the nicest thing about the place. Terrible experience, certainly won't be going back.

Below average quality food which tasted pre-packaged/frozen. Very slow service (apparently short staffed) although polite and friendly. Prices hugely exceed quality.

We arrived here on a Sunday with no bookings and they were full restaurant but said could serve us in the bar we showed to table and given menu on ordering told 40 min wait which we said OK. Food was amazing pudding was great staff so polite would of been 5 stars not such a long wait otherwise couldn't fault at all.

Munel served us in the restaurant for our anniversary meal. She was very patient as both me and my husband asked for alterations to our meals to add more vegetables. She added extra butter for my husband's steak. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. And we were able to use our Tesco vouchers. Okay, this small town has it's own charm.....the hotel itself is a bit old fashioned, but it fits..it was a kind of adventure to find our room 😄😄😄...the area around was very lovely...... drinks 🍷 are middle prices, but the food we had could have been a bit better......our family has booked a couple of rooms . We checked in after the " ceremony" was finished for some afternoon sandwiches 🥪 and other fongerfood 🥝....but, we have had more than 30 ° outside and the was served without any cooling.......not so funny......but WHAT they served......some of the Fingerfood tasted very delicious, some of them less.......staff was very helpful and friendly, beer 🍻 and cocktails are correct tempered......but the whole thing needs a lot of work ........I would go there for a second time, if it would be possible.......

Food is good but woefully understaffed. Waited 50 minutes for food. Wine finally arrived after chasing, then had to chase again to get them to come with a corkscrew and open it. Not a relaxing experience.

Having been a guest at the White Rabbit for some months it truly feels like a home away from home. Carl and his team, Bunny, Muriel, Dan, Hollie, Katherine, Ellie and Jay have always gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome, despite being part of the furniture. The experience is further enhanced by the fantastic food Head Chef Damo and his team, Tom and Lauren provide. Happily catering to allergy requirements and often popping out from back of house to say hello, which is a nice touch. Although I’ve never met them personally, housekeepers Ella and Pru always make up the rooms to a high standard which is very reassuring. I literally love this place and will be very sad when my time here comes to an end. I think it’s a real gem and exceptional value for money. Definitely recommend.

We had the most fantastic overnight stay here, the staff, Debbie, Steve, Carl and everyone else went out of their way to make our visit special, they even put the racing from Cheltenham on for us. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast- all fresh and very tasty. The White Rabbit has a lovely atmosphere and really does punch above its weight in comparison to its competitors. Loved it

Was taken for mother's Day lunch . The food was excellent , the customer service as soon as you walked in was very good , lady looking after our table was above & beyond . Would definitely go back again .

Working in Lyndhurst for a few days and spotted the white rabbit on our first day. Me and my colleague visited for dinner on a Tuesday evening, staff were very on it and made us feel welcome. Ordered a couple of pints and a mixed grill each with side salad. The food arrived and we tucked straight in and didn’t utter a word to each other until our cutlery landed on our plates. Almost at the same we took a breath and started complimenting how good everything was. Usually the meat would come out dry or over done on a mixed grill but every piece was juicy and succulent. Being comepletely honest we were both surprised to have received such a good feed. Well done chef!

This was the first time I had come to this pub/restaurant. After looking at the menu online I booked a table. The cod was the best I have had for a long time and the Abbot was well kept. Bunny was very attentive after we had been shown our table and passed on the changes that were happening in the next few weeks, She made sure we were happy with our meal and were having a good experience.

Just wanted to give a special mention to Bunny who is the most wonderful, attentive, kind and thoughtful waitress we had looking after us at the White Rabbit Pub. She is just super lovely. We always enjoy our time there, the service is impeccable and the food is great. Would definitely recommend.

Met up with friends for Lunch, the food was excellent freshly cooked and delicious, the Staff, helpfull and friendly, prices reasonable, we spent most of the afternoon here in the friendly welcoming ambience , we had a lovely coffee and then sat chatting after our leisurely Lunch, without being rushed or hurried. First time visit for us here and initial impressions were good. Huge place inside with a nice mix of pub, restaurant and conservatory areas. Menus looked interesting although several dishes were off the menu (including one of the whisky’s that was listed, it was only a Jura that you could have bought from Tesco’s so find this somewhat odd for. Pain to be out of! Food arrived and starters were nice, although some of them were only tepid, and the mains were also ok but nothing standout. My seafood medley was decent enough but I wouldn’t rush to order again. Staff were friendly enough although they did forget a bottle of wine that had been ordered and had to be reminded. Overall its 3 star review as there was nothing wrong with the place but it also wasn't good enough or had any outstanding qualities that justifies more.
