Excellent food very fresh & the best Thai we have had for a long time great flavours. Lovely staff served with a smile & not too long a wait even though they were busy.

Great food and great service would highly recommend. Both of us really enjoyed the food and service was really friendly. Never rushed to vacate table.

Totally delicious We wanted to go to the Thai  last when visiting the New Forest. But due to covid the resteraunt were only providing takeaway. Fortunately this year they were open. For sure the best Thai we have ever had. A genuine 10/10! Service well paced, wine reasonably priced. Thai starters totally fresh (not frozen) and tasty.. mains kept coming and coming. Again really really tasty, not salty, clearly no MSG. Full of flavour. Really impressed. We will be back.

Booked a last minute table midweek and pleased we did. Restaurant was fully booked so a good sign! We thoroughly enjoyed our food and would recommend to anyone visiting lyndhurst. We would return if we were in the area!

We're vegetarian and after being disappointed numerous times with the fare on offer in the New Forest pubs, we were delighted to find this place. The food was wonderful and the service excellent.

A little disappointing after previous visits. Food was very good, however part of the order was missed (but included on the final bill and had to ask for it to be corrected). Also service fell off towards the end. We wanted desserts but in the end gave up waiting for service and after finally getting staff attention cut our losses and asked for the bill. Went for post meal drink and coffee down the road instead. Would still visit again due to tasty food but with reservations.

On holiday in the New Forest so popped into the Thai Forest for our first meal out in 18 months. Totally amazing.Great food, great service.

What a lovely place to eat. The food is very tasty, in fact it was the best meal I have had out for a very long time. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is inviting. Can highly recommend the duck on nest and the black lamb.

We were recommended this restaurant by our B&B hosts and weren’t disappointed. They have a separate vegan menu to make ordering easy any the service is quick and efficient. Food was lovely and reasonably priced

Very disappointing, tried to call in our order, 17 times, rang off, answered then hung up then no answer. Went in to place the order and it was almost empty. Stater for two was a let down for the money and the pad Thai tasted bland, there wasn’t much of it and it was crammed into a small container. Bitterly disappointed.

This was our second visit here. They are clearly taking appropriate covid precautions. Everything we ordered was delicious. This time the person taking our order knew the menu which was reassuring (specifically what was vegetarian). There is also a separate vegan menu if you ask....

This is a delightful place; very charming staff and wonderful food. We really enjoyed our meal, excellent food, wine & beer. They handle the C-19 situation very well, tables are well separated and good hygiene.

Whilst social distancing and legal safety measures were in place, this kept a great atmosphere and we were very pleased not only with the service, but the quality of the food as well. It was our first visit, but won't be our last.

We are in Lyndhurst for a couple of days and spotted this restaurant.After spending 3 weeks in Thailand earlier this year we couldn’t wait for a good Thai meal,but this was not nice,bland starters followed by ‘Forest curry’ smelled like ditch water .. uneatable.My partners Pad Thai was ok but pretty tasteless.Won’t be recommending or going back.The 2 stars were for the pleasant staff !

Best Thai in Lyndhurst. We had a lovely meal here. Herbal chicken wings, Thai beef salad, Green chicken curry and and spicy and sour seafood soup.All served quickly, accurately and with minimum fuss by Thai staff.For £45 it was really good value and very tasty.Ps try the sweet Thai tea.

We visited at end of August,midweek, and the restaurant was busy and had a good atmosphere. Our starter platter was full of great flavours. My chicken dish was super. Decent price. Good, friendly service. Well worth a visit.

The service was very fast and had our drinks within minutes of sitting down. The selection of food was large and everything looked tasty. The food came about 10 minutes after ordering and was very delicious. Would definitely visit restaurant again as staff were very friendly and food was amazing!

We visited The Thai Forest during a week away in Lyndhurst. I never leave reviews for places but felt like I had to for this lovely place! We have eaten in some of the best restaurants in London and honestly this was the nicest food I’ve had in a restaurant in a very long time. Lovely fresh food, great flavours, good portions and so reasonably priced! Service was exceptional too. Such lovely staff and just the right amount of attention and wait time for food and drinks. We will definitely be visiting again when we’re next in Lyndhurst. Just wish this restaurant was close to home as we would be regulars!!

The restaurant has clearly gone to great lengths to create a safer space, with clear plastic screens between booths. Food was tasty and there was a good range on the menu.

My wife and I visited here for dinner only yesterday, 11th July 2020. Despite the problem created by Covid they had everything under control with excellent spacing facilities. The meal was very good and we would strongly recommend the shared starter, it was superb. I followed with the duck which, again was excellent. Sadly my chose the lamb which was overcooked. I know we should have told the staff but it had been such a lovely evening and the staff were so good we decided to put it down to a one off!!

The food was amazing as was the service. The only downfall was no sanitizing of tables between clients. Made me feel uncomfortable.

This was our third visit to the Thai Forest and may well be the last. We were a table of 8 and the restaraunt was quite busy, which had a dramatic affect on the quality of the service. The food was still reasonably good but it arrived in dribs and drabs. And when it came to paying the bill, including the £35.00 service charge, we had miscalculated by around £1.48. Despite the substantial bill and the excessive service charge, which was not deserved, they inisited on having the £1.48. Improvements in staffing and education in customers service is desperately required.

We often order take out from here and it is always absolutely excellent. The food is so fresh and plentiful, really tasty, lots of fresh colourful vegetables and tender chicken/beef/prawns. So lovely, highly recommend it!!

This is a good restaurant, serving quality food, combined with great service. Nothing to fault, will definitely be back.

We visited her last week with our family. We dropped in without booking, the restaurant was extremely busy but they managed to find us a table.

I really can't say what was better, the food or the staff. Both were absolutely wonderful. Starters were a good size and beautifully presented. I think its the best Dim Sum I have ever had. Wine list was very good. Main courses were just as good as the starters. We would go back a gain repeatedly. A very big thank you to all the staff working last night. I could not fault the service.

Had an excellent meal on the Saturday night. Food quality was great, tasty and full of flavour. Staff went out of their way to enable the six of us, we did not book in advance, to enjoy a family evening together. Would recommend the Thai Forest.

Absolutely amazing meal. Attentive staff, lovely surroundings and fantastic food. I had vegetable spring rolls, a red curry and the most wonderful pudding of deep fried ice cream with amazing sugar work. Most certainly worth a visit if you are in Lyndhurst.

Beautiful restaurant, ideally located & lovely staff. Typical Thai menu & everything executed well. Had a wonderful evening with friends who are regulars. I guess I am not sure why I rated it 4 not 5 star as no reason other than I wasn't blown away.

A party of 4 of us ate here tonight. The setting was perfect with nicely arranged and intimate seating, the meals were absolutely delicious and good quality. The service was excellent. Unable to find a single criticism. Probably the best Thai food I have ever tasted. Everyone said the same. They also have a vegan and gluten free menu. We ordered some red merlot wine which was also excellent quality too, surprisingly as often wines can be a bit cheap in restaurants but it was really good.5/5. Perfect! The bill came to £124 for 4 people: 3 x beers, 2 x bottles of Merlot, 3 x starters, 2 x prawn crackers, 4 x main meals, 4 x jasmine rice, 1 x dessert. That's really good I think. Great ambience.

We had a nice meal here on Sunday evening and tried the Massaman Curry and a Prawn dish, both very well done. We tried a Tom Yam to start which was not too hot by Tom Yam standards. The rice portions are big and overall a good meal. Not sure why they played country music all evening though.

Coming from SF that’s full of Thai restaurants we feel well qualified to say this place is excellent. Perfect Green Papaya Salad, Pad Thai and Chicken w garlic, ginger and mushroom sauce. In comparison to our experience with the neighboring Fox and Hounds, the service was absolutely incredible and attentive. Timing was great, food tasted freshly made.

Service is poor. Staff missed orders or brought in the wrong order. This was a weekday so the restaurant was not even too crowded!

If you are around the area would recommend popping in. Food is great and the staff are fantastic. Make sure that you do not miss out.

The food and service here is fantastic. Very welcoming and friendly staff. The food I felt had authentic flavours. We had the papaya salad (you need to love spicy food for this) and peppered squid as starters. Very fresh and full of flavours. We also had a curry each and again, just so tasty! If ever we come back to Lyndhurst, we will definitely pop in again.

Both my husband and I love Thai food and this place did not disappoint. My husband felt the Pad Thai was almost as good as the one he had in Bangkok. I chose the Thai Red Curry, extra spicy, and was happy with the quality of it. This was the first time out friends had Thai food and they are keen to try it again.

We spent the weekend in Lyndhurst and decided on the Saturday night to try The Thai Forest.

Had night in Lyndhurst before a golf tournament. Read the reviews and picked this one. Chose corn fritters and green pork curry. Neither dish had any relationship to Thai food I know from Thailand. When will the British public learn they are being ripped off by these so-called Thai restaurants. They smile and give great service but use commercial pastes for their flavours. This place also used very cheap meat in the pork curry. This type of restaurant is a disgrace but please everybody watch Netflix street food Bangkok and you will see what you are missing out on.

Situated in the picturesque town of Lyndhurst in the heart of the New Forest. We were seated in a booth type area which was very nice. The service was excellent and friendly, The food was superb and high quality and excellent value, Will definitely visit again.

Absolutely fantastic food and at such a reasonable price. Lovely atmosphere and very tastefully decorated. The staff/owners are so friendly, we’ve already been twice and we’re going again for Father’s Day. You won’t be disappointed if you try it!

I don’t know where to start. The ambience is superb, the setting is authentic and the food is, in my humble opinion, the best Thai food I have eaten outside of Thailand.

We stayed nearly a week and ate several times here. Service was quick, friendly and knowledgeable. Food was excellent really enjoyed each of the meals and well priced too. Couldn’t fault it.

Deco was nice and they fitted us in when they looked full. Food was nice but came up so quickly after ordering which I just don't think should happen. Shame as we had a pleasant evening.

We are local and visit this restaurant every fortnight or so. We haven’t had anything less than a first class experience. The staff are lovely - they clearly care and can’t do enough for you. The food is absolutely delicious. We are very lucky to have this on our doorstep. Thank you Thai Forest!

Three of us went for lunch here as I'd been before with a friend and it was delicious! Again we weren't disappointed. Chicken satay was melt in the mouth with a gorgeous satay sauce and the Thai green curry and every other dish was equally first class! How can you go wrong with 2 course lunch for £8,50 and with service that was so polite and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend this lovely little gem of a restaurant in the centre of lovely Lyndhurst.

The staff were very pleasant and polite however the dinning experience was extremely rushed. I appreciate that they needed to turn tables around quickly owing to being busy however it felt like I was a stop gap before real customers came in ?? the dim sum was served within 3 minutes of the order being placed , the waitress hovering in readiness to remove the plate as fast as it had arrived ! the main course service was as quick ! the food lacked any flavour with the most tasteless dim sum that I have ever come across,served the obligatory sweet sticky sauce !. Main course was totally unmemorable and all consumed with 20 mins, just enough time for me to get to the shops for indigestion relief before they closed! .

The food is simply delicious, the service is lovely. We had lunch in a very cosy and relaxing atmosphere and everyone just spoiled us with their kindness and attention.

Recently visited here for my birthday whilst in The New Forest area, the food was absolutely amazing, really fresh and tasty, great service, staff where friendly and helpful and we didn't feel rushed. Lovely décor too, 10/10 :)

We popped in on Easter Sunday and had the lunchtime special which is £8.95 and great value. The missus had a squid starter and a chicken pad see ew main. I went for a tom yam soup and a chicken panang curry. The food was delicious. Because this was the lunchtime special I appreciate that the dishes weren't huge but I still left feeling full and at £22.50 including a bottle of Chang and a pot of tea this was fantastic value for money. The staff were very pleasant, as was the decor so we would definitely go back again.

Walked passed this restaurant whilst staying in lyndhurst, looked it up on trip advisor and saw the great reviews. We were not disappointed, had a beautiful meal with great service and a lovely setting. Will definitely return if we are ever in the area

Had a fabulous meal here after a great day cycling the New Forest. I had the Tom Yum Guy for starter followed by the Penang curry, really was excellent. Service was very good also. If you are here at the weekend would definitely recommend you book as the place was full. I would strongly recommend this place.
