Great place with a very warm and friendly staff. It can get really busy so avoid busy times. Toilets are clean and tables generally get cleaned quickly.
My go to takeaway. I've tried all the Indian takeaway and restaurants locally over the years, but Bengal Spice is by far the best. The food is always hot, full of flavour and plenty of choice. Excellent
Delicious breakfast, good quality ingredients and the most amazing choice of cakes. We often frequent Hart Stores, it’s our go to place in Haywards Heath now and our bench mark for comparison in cafes out of town. Lovely service. lively atmosphere.
Lovely pub and hotel. Highly recommended for beautiful and tasty Sunday lunch. Very friendly and very relaxed. Everyone should visit. Generous portions and excellent value. I left full and satisfied. Will definitely be back.
We have used chi foo for over 15 years and it's always been the best food. BUT...we ordered for home delivery yesterday, the food arrives 20 minutes late and semi warm because the driver couldn't find our address, which means he's probably new because we've had home delivery many times. The food - this has completely changed and not for the better. The CCM tasted like it had been cooked on gravy, the S&S Chic Balls were pappy, the sauce tasted like a packet mix, the ribs were rubbery and tough, it was only half a bag of prawn crackers, and the crispy shredded beef was anything but crispy with far too much spring onion and not a chilli in sight. Plus to add to the rubbish food the prices have gone up by about £2 per item. Sorry but the days of using Chi Foo are over. It's now too expensive and terrible food.
This pub appears to have been run for some years now by a person or persons who keep making frustrating silly decisions that prevent a 5 star review.
It has arguably the best beer selection for a country pub, but the bar area was decimated a few years ago now.
The garden is beautiful but food is never served within it.
The doors from the carpark/garden are now for whatever reason closed so it's a confusing and silly walk to get round to the main entrance (honestly it's all everybody was moaning about in the garden). Somebody else was complaining about a £15 glass of wine.
Bring back the garden BBQs and music in the summer. Keep the variety of beers because it's great. Please think carefully about the route from the garden back to the bar.
Everything on the menu looks and tastes great. A beautiful old rambling country pub. Super friendly and accommodating. I wish we were staying in the area longer so we could enjoy it even more. Marvellous 🤩
