Really lovely community pub! The food is delicious (the chips are probably the best I've ever had) and the desserts are all homemade. Service is swift and polite. Even on a very busy mother's day this pub accommodates our party of 10with ease.
Waited 25 minutes for a ‘Croque Monsieur’. Got flabby bread (hardly toasted) with some ham and cheese, completely drowned in béchamel sauce over the whole thing, and melted cheddar inside instead of gruyère. Pretty useless, pretty disappointing. They garnished it with micro greens/ flowers so maybe that took time.
Took my girlfriend here for our one year anniversary. Great food and the atmosphere was great. Customer service was perfect and the lady Charlotte was even kind enough to give us some desert for our anniversary. Would definitely recommend.
Very poor quality food cold and nearly 45 minutes overdue. Ordered at 1745 stated 1845. When I telephoned at 1900 told 15 minutes. No apology. When it arrived the chicken was barely warm and chips cold. Never again. Felbridge to Crawley Down

The breakfast was great! Was busy, but everything works very well. All the time food was fresh. The staff (Joseph) and the manager was very kind and give us lots of attention. I really recommend the breakfast.
I was with a group of 12 people on Thursday. Everyone else's meals looked great but sadly mine was not. I had ordered the Homemade Mediterranean Vegetable Bake but what vegetables were in it I couldn't tell as it was just a mush with what looked like brie on the top. The whole thing was completely tasteless. I've had this sort of bake in many other pubs/restaurants before and often make it myself so I knew what the meal should have been like. I was very disappointed.
Having said that the service was good and the staff were friendIy so I will probably visit again but will be ordering something else from the menu.
Lovely pub where we’ve eaten well before, but our meal last night was very poor. A monkfish stew seemed to be cooked in a can of tomato soup, and a chicken, ham, and leek pie was stodgy with hardly any chicken or ham and seemed mainly to comprise a ghastly sauce of grainy mustard. Inedible. Maybe there was another chef last night as the food has been delicious in the past. It was a shame as the pub is nice and friendly and the beer is excellent.
Couldn't fault it. Had a great table in the alcove for 6. Selection of dishes were chosen from Caesar salad to pie and mash and Sunday roast. Everything was very good. Staff were attentive, food was delicious and hot, apart from the salad of course.
Went for afternoon tea with friends. Not as pricey as some others around here, but still expensive for what was offerred. The waitress introduced us to the 'tower' of comestibles. I didn't recognise the mille feuille until she said what it was, less of the mille more like two un-flakey slices . Scones seemed to have been microwaved since they went a bit hard, but the jam with them was very good. Made the mistake of asking for another pot of tea and some water which greatly added to the bill

A great McDonald's. Nothing short of perfect. The latté was one of the best I've tasted. Well done to the staff. My second visit I had the best cappuccino for a long time. Here is always my preference for hot drinks! Can be quite rowdy at school finishing times, but this is no reflection on the restaurant. Staff always deal swiftly with nuisance school kids.
Great food and atmosphere but the service was quite slow even though it wasnt super busy and they cleared my table while I was in the toilet hence why not 5 stars.
