Ordered a steak medium/well and it came out purple in the middle. Sent back to be brought out again after a long wait absolutely cremated and awful. Would have raised with staff but no one came to check if everything ok like they normally do and my partner had long since finished his meal. I just wanted to eat and go home. Wetherspoons here is normally good so no idea what happened!

This is an absolute cassic example of the 'Spoons genre. If you go in to it expecting anything more exciting than a slap in the face with a moderately large sardine, you will be disappointed. If you go in expecting the barrel to be well-and-truly scraped of all class and dignity, you're in for a great time.

Easy to walk past this Spoons as it's inside another building which I believe might be the cinema. We missed it & had to turn back before we realised it was the pub we were looking for. Unasumming from the outside but the inside made up for it. Lots of available seating inside and a few tables & chairs outside. Pay for parking right outside which is useful but not many spaces unfortunately. Prices for drinks and food are average. Prices are normally dearer in London or at the O2. Pint of Bud Light was £1.99. We had a chicken pizza to share as a snack. It was fine. Spoons food has really gone downhill & I wouldn't have dinner due to persistent recent disappointment . Staff were friendly. Pub was clean. Tables needed clearing but otherwise ok. Wouldn't feel the need to return. Number 77 for us.

It's like a large, dated airport lounge with just table upon table of seating...(used to be a bowling alley about 20 years ago) and not been given an overhaul since it opened as far as I know. Incredible value and selection as you'd expect from a JDW's and staff / service are always excellent but just too open, tired and soul less to be a pleasant experience IMO (though when it's 3 times cheaper than the pub 50mtrs up the road you can see why it's always busy) Lots of paid parking across the road and to the rear and easy access for wheelchairs etc. Same building as a great cinema (top floor) if you wanted a family outing.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Being a former staff member you would have thought they would look after you but nope. Me, my partner and little one went in after a long drive back home after holiday and needed some food as had nothing at home. As I walked to the bar I heard one of the staff say "oh no, not her, you can serve her" to another member of staff. We then got our starters and in the middle of eating our starters a member of staff came over and asked if we would like our main to which I said no as we were still eating our starters, the staff member then replied that "you know what the other staff member is like with kids under 18 in here after 9pm" to which I replied, and I know as a fact as I used to work there that you actually can't kick out a family that ordered food before 9pm and are still eating at 9pm, you have to wait until they have finished to asked them to leave. We then got out mains which were stone cold, I know for fact that they were sat on the pass since our starters were ready as the plate was red hot and thats why the staff member asked us if we would like it in the middle of our starters because they were already ready. I then went up to the bar to complain and ask for a recook and as I walked of the other staff member behind the bar said something but I couldn't quite here what was said. Didn't get check back during meal either. Overall extremely unprofessional and unpleasant to also know that they are talking about you behind your back. I know I used to work there, it's not exactly a hard job but I do expect a hot meal like anyone would wether you worked there or not. At the end of the day I'm still a customer.

This Wetherspoons is well known for blowing out freezing cold air, no matter what the outside temperatures are, staff seem to be reluctant to address the cold air through the air conditioning ducting, this has been ongoing for far too long, I am a regular drinker at this place, and have on several occasions asked the staff to turn off the air conditioning, you cannot have air conditioning on whilst the large windows and doors are open.

Barman was really nice, food was less nice. Vegetarian sausage and mash, hardly any congealed gravy, way too many grey and joyless peas, and the mash was a thousand years old and had a very weird taste. I've eaten this dish in dozens of Wetherspoons, I always order it, and sadly this was the worst I've ever had. Decent pint of Guinness and there's an easygoing atmosphere here

Excellent pizza and desserts, really good menu and specials, light and airy and friendly service. I drunkenly wrote a review for the Plough on TripAdvisor about 10 years ago, stating they serve the best pizza I've ever had in the UK which was a pretty bold statement, however the pizza is very very good, with quality ingredients and beautifully cooked.
