The best restaurants serving Default food in High Street Maidstone South East

It's not too too bad. Yes, the tandoori had excessive red stuff on it. Very tender doe!! Rice portion was large. Not the best...but passable!! You must! Tell these takeaway guys...not to add, M S G(flavour enhancer) to your food. They put on everything. Msg kills!!!

Nice place a Little cold Good quality of food but nothing extra

Ordered a takeaway to satisfy our late night sweet cravings. Got Smores Hot Pocket - Crepe with dark chocolate , marshmallows and fudge cake, topped with white chocolate drizzle and crunchy crumps - The crepe was really good 🤤 & Hot N Cold Choc Cake Volcano Sundae- Hot chocolate cake, vanilla ice cream, toffee sauce, milk chocolate shavings and wafer- Sundae was delicious 😋

Arrived for a comedy night. Got there early to have a few cocktails and catch up with my friend. When we went to the bar, we waited behind two people already there. Then blonde haired bartender called us over, I asked for a martini. He spoke to the pink haired bartender who said he was busy and then bluntly and unnecessarily rudely told us to “go and wait over there” ( where we had been waiting) in a very unfriendly manner. As if we were doing something wrong. This is the point I’d like to add I NEVER get to go out. This was my one night to go out have a bit of me time, have a laugh and be apart from my toddler that I am with 24/7. So this felt really really sh it. I said well he did call us over and pink hair asks blonde hair “ did you call them over” but doesn’t apologise or say anything to us after speaking to us so rudely. Really bothers me that it was so unnecessary to be rude to us. I’m a polite and nice person. Don’t work in a customer facing role if you can’t be nice to customers.

Went for an evening meal after a long time without being able to go to a restaurant. Pleased to report we weren't disappointed. We were seated promptly at a table for two and were immediately asked if we would like a drink. The server was very attentive as it wasnt the busiest evening, even though it was a Saturday. The menu itself is very extensive, with set meals as well as a la carte. We opted for a la carte. Our starters were Wonton soup(9/10), Butterfly King Prawns(9/10), salt & pepper squid(10/10) and salt & pepper ribs(7/10). This is due to a bit of "frozen" aftertaste on the ribs. After this our mains arrived, 2 portions of egg fried rice(one is enough for two people), beef in oyster sauce(7/10), again unfortunately a bit of "frozen" aftertaste on the beef but the sauce was delicious and the beef very tender. Also had the XO Squid + Prawns which were amazing(10/10). All in all a very good meal and hope the management will look into my comments on the ribs and beef. My ratings are only deducted for the food not being quite as good as it could have been. Definitely be back.

Firstly this is a beautiful old building, formerly a NatWest bank. My 1 🌟 goes to the poor customer service, walked in, stood at the bar, one other guy waiting, 2 young guys behind the bar who completely ignored me , preferring to chat amongst themselves....I waited patiently then having had enough of being ignored I walked out. Worth a visit just to look at the lovely architecture, I just hope you get better service than I did. Always acknowledge customers.

Absolutely shocking service. Ordered via the app on a Friday night for dinner with guests. The app estimated 45 minutes to an hour—fair enough. Watched the progress, only for it to say "out for delivery" before magically reverting back to "baking"… not once, but three times. Impressive trick, really. After five attempts to get through to the shop, someone finally answered, only to tell me the predictable excuse: "We're very busy on a Friday night." Well, of course you are—it’s a pizza place, on a Friday. Maybe, just maybe, hire a few extra hands instead of relying on time travel to shuffle orders around the system? Ended up reordering, and by then, we were 2 hours and 30 minutes into this ordeal. Our guests, understandably, left hungry and annoyed. When the food eventually arrived (a mere 3 hours later), one pizza was missing the cheeseburger sauce. Small detail, I know, but considering the wait, you'd think they’d at least get that right. To add insult to injury, customer service responded to my complaint with—you guessed it—the same tired excuse: "Friday nights are busy." No kidding. I even emailed back with a helpful suggestion (perhaps, I don’t know, staffing up on Fridays?), but that was met with complete silence. Safe to say, I won’t be using them again. Fortunately, Maidstone has plenty of other pizza places that are not only faster but also cheaper.

We had meal deal 2 burger and chips would defo buy again really tasty worth every penny young man brought it he was really nice very polite excellent

I thoroughly recommend Waterstone's cafe in Maidstone. I am a coeliac and they always ask if anyone has allegies, check in their folder and show you. They use a clean pair of tongs and whilst they can't guarantee cross contamination, they take every possible care. The GF Cappuccino cake is delicious (just leave me some!!). I feel confident eating there and it is my favourite place to have lunch/snack in Maidstone.

Some of the best fries 🍟🍟🍟 I have eaten in a long time. Warm reception and easy environment to navigate. My wife and I love to dine in often.

Been using this kebab for a couple years and been lovely but tonight was a big let down, everything tasted reheated , the kebab was no where near as nice as usual, the chips they have obviously changed to cheap version than what they was using that taste like powder , didn’t add sauces to order and the chilli sauce that was on it was somehow dry , won’t be reusing for now which is a shame .

If you look at the real life picture they have provided them self, you can clearly see quality of it. Greasy, sprayed with 3 different chem sprays to "enchant" flavours. Chese sliding off the pizza like it doesnt want to be there due to very diluted tomato souce. This is as far from good pizza places as im from coming back

The place was empty and the 2 ladies working there were too busy chatting to each other (turned away from the counter) to notice anyone waiting. Tried to get their attention but music was loud and was ignored. We were clearly an inconvenience so we won’t return.
