Food basic but quite acceptable.Waitress is rude,did not take our order so the guy who was making the drinks he served our drinks. At leaving no good by nothing despite we always say it.Manner needs to be improved!

Spent 2 nights in Steeple Aston and had 2 great meals and a warm welcome at The Red Lion. Just 500m from our cottage we had fish and chips night one and a proper homemade steak and ale pie night 2. They have a new chef and he served tasty, well seasoned, home cooked food. We sat in the bar area with our little dog and it was so well tended as well as little touches like all tables had a lit taper candle made it feel inviting and special. Thank you to The Red Lion for their hospitality, we will be back.

Travelled 2 hours to see their grandad play tonight, checked website as two very hungry children and said food until 7:45. In queue since 6:50 and checked with polite bar man if it was okay to order food, said yes. At 7:02 as ordering food, deputy manager came out and said kitchen shut at 7pm tonight, 2 minutes late for ordering apparently and no leeway. Woman in orange top, absolutely no compassion, had to leave children obviously very hungry and this woman basically ruined what would have been a lovely evening.

Amazingly big portions. For £8.98 I had a Cod and chips. Honestly it would have fed two people. The cod was huge, any other shop would have classed it as 'Large'. Even half of the small chips portion was too much for me. Amazing value. By the way, their batter is great, crispy and golden. Everything I saw being served whilst I waited were huge portions.

Worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. This shop doesn’t deserve such a prime location, much better places on the outskirts of town!!!!!

I have tried their food many times since they reopened. The salt and pepper box has also been updated. We like the white egg fried rice very much because it is different from other takeaways . They also use curry sauce normally. Also, the first time I ordered crispy aromatics duck. I didn’t know that they had more meat and not enough pancakes, so we added extra pancakes next time. Thank you very much, I hope they can keep it up.

Being a regular, feeling peckish I Went in and ordered my meal after watching football in our local pub, Lisa the chef is fantastic but her old man is a ignorant/ rude person I gave him £20 but he gave me change for a £10 when I questioned it he said sorry I forgot, I think mainly because he thinks I'd had a few beers and try his luck, when I did question it he got very defensive to the stage he wanted to fight me, obviously needs anger management I found this very offensive, food not amazing and after this experience will never use it again, avoid this place at all cost, if you do order watch your change and take boxing gloves to get the right change

Spent for ever in the queue. Do not use drive thru. Complete joke
