McDonald's in Cherwell

Just another McDonald's with an upstairs, same as the next one, small car park, but Tescos is right next door. Food and service is the same as the next one too.

11pm on a Tuesday evening, not expecting a 35 minute wait at the drive thru. Only to receive half of what we ordered when getting home. Staff are friendly enough, and we're apologetic for the long wait times but still couldn't manage a simple order. Go to Baynards Green. It's slightly further away but you'll still get your food faster and your complete order.

The most disgusting macdonald's ever....rubbish everywhere....it was filthy.....got cold chips....had to ask to get them reheated....lift didn't work.....staff walking past dirty trays......it was was a dirty place..

went through the Drive thru at just gone midnight, was told to go to first window to have my order taken. there were no cars in front of me and was sat there for about 20 minutes. Had a queue of cars behind me as well getting angry at me as i was at the window for so long. Terrible service

Service was terrible. Ordered one tea and waited 20 minutes before they gave us milk. They didn’t give any stirrers or sugar. But the service overall was terrible.

Awful service if you try and order for eat in. Been driving for hours so wanted to get out the car, seems like they prioritise drive thru and delivery orders though, waited 20 minutes for food that came wrong and cold when they finally did start bringing out orders to the counter. Avoid this place

They are more interested in dealing with deliveries than actual people coming to the desk. If this is the norm then McDonald's is in trouble

Took grandson for a meal , found manager really helpful, and met some nice customers,friendly

I come to this McDonald’s quite often, but sadly, most of the time, it’s a letdown. It really shouldn’t be that hard to get an order right—it’s a basic part of the job. Yet, I often have to go back because something’s missing or wrong. Also how can it take 10 minutes to serve a single breakfast muffin. One person loitering around in the front, looking completely lost and uninterested in her job in most mornings, while the lobby is full of customers waiting long times. When I eat in, there’s almost always someone on their break sitting in the corner, watching videos on their phone with the sound on full blast. It’s so annoying and obnoxious. The whole place is run badly with lack of control, bad recruitment and really poor service. Update: the next visit they found it difficult to read and understand the difference between BREAKFAST roll and BACON roll and got the wrong order. Update: the next visit the employee found it beyond her capacity to understand what “sauce” mean and missed it from the order

I go to McDs maybe once per year just to remind myself how junk food tastes. I enjoyed the ketchup and the bottle of water, just a pity about the food.

Used to work here years ago when it first opened and it wasnt partcularly great back then so after a long drive and passing thru bicester i thought id pop in and grab myself a quick and tasty meal and see how much its improved after about 6 years. Far from it, took nearly 15 minutes for a quarter pounder meal to arrive, which was surprising considering 2 o clock on a monday isnt exactly what you would consider peak time. No surprise really the meal was barely lukewarm, the fries were limp, and the milkshake machine clearly needed its syrup changing and suspiciously had a sour milk aftertaste. Very unpleasant. Also the mozzarella dippers which should have been warm and gooey were again cold and stiff. Overrall i forced half the meal and discarded the rest. Also dont trust the recent 5 star review by raj as i know he works for the company.

The staff where all over the place, no organisation at all . Table's were all dirty and full of litter. It was an horrible experience. Ho and it took over 20 minutes for our small order to arrive.

Been here several times . Staff haven't got a clue wats going on . Flat warm drinks no ice no salt on chips. Burgers look like they have been put together over a game of table tennis and kicked round the floor a few times . Rude managers and toilets with urine and faeces all over the floor . Good work Ronald mcdonald 1/10 from me

Charming atmosphere and the building is just marvellous

I mean McDonald's has been going downhill for quite a while, but this was particularly awful. After self-serving, we waited around 10 minutes for our food - wasn't busy Then the chips were cold, burgers put in the box in the wrong order and the coke was like pond water....and the order was wrong This is the last McDonald's I ever eat.

I have been here a few times but I am leaving this review to express how unprofessional the staff are. I am in a relationship with an employee there and constantly hear about unprofessionalism in the workplace. The most recent I have heard is about people I don’t even know commenting on my weight and appearance. I consider this extremely unprofessional considering the range of people that will be going to a mcdonald’s so who knows how customers are treated. I don’t often like to complain but this level of unprofessionalism is not acceptable. I have very low expectations of their quality of customer service and have found trying to contact the management directly impossible (instantly sent to talk to an ai robot). If management is allowing staff to treat people they do not even know this way then how can we expect good friendly customer service. I would suggest avoiding this mcdonald’s if you don’t fancy being insulted when you’re just trying to live your life. I am more than happy to disclose names of management sees this and would like a name to actually sort out their awful, unprofessional staff.

Almost every single time I order from here or get food through the drive through they get my order wrong. Something is always missing. Sometimes an entire meal, sometimes just one item. Sometimes they give totally different item than what I asked for. They really need to step up their game.

Has to be one of the worst mcdonald's in the UK the food is cold or not with the order the staff are extremely untrained and rude the store is always dirty tables sticky toilets poorly maintained I can say honestly that this is the worst mcdonald's I've ever been to the management needs a stern restructuring as the staff are clueless and it's not their fault the have poor managers training them thats purely on the management would recommend my dog to eat here let alone anyone else

Missed all my 3x medium fries and 1x small fries .

Lost count of how many times they're "out of Fanta" in the middle of the day! Updated this review; no fanta on 31st Jan and now again today 3rd Feb. Easily 10 occasions now!

I have received cold but everything is fallen and the fries are large but literally half of it. I don’t like the way some of the delivery men bring so badly. We pay for the delivery, it’s not like we get it for free. I can attach a pic if you want as well. Please look into this matter. I always order from McDonald’s and I love it but this can’t be happening all the time. Hope you understand, I don’t like asking for refund all the time. It’s not fair to many who do their job.

It says 24/7 but if you go at around 12 they are often shut with an excuse saying systems are down but I think it’s just poorly managed

Ordered at 4.35 for 5.25 delivery. Came at 6.10

I normally don't complain when something gets messed up when its busy but I've just got home and the rap I had reeks of sterilisation fluid I thought it might just be my hands but after taking a bite sadly not the whole outside rap is covered in some from of disinfectant.

I've been here a few times and I've never seen a McDonald's where there are so many staff, all scurrying around constantly with the resultant food service being so slow.

Quick stop.to get food on the go. Not impressed. Too many deliveroo type orders slowed service down. Bit of a wait. Quick check showed the food was correct (for once) so I left and hut the road. 5 minutes later and I sampled my first fries. Cold. Soggy. Tasted awful. My drink. Supposed to be a chocolate shake but had more strawberry taste than anything. The Ranch burger tasted ok, but looked like it had been thrown together by a blind one handed person that had received no training at all. I was already on the A34 southbound and wanted to get home. I will not stop there again- will go across the road to Burger King

Dont even bother to come here especially on weekends, "Whats New" menu in 90% unavailable!! , fries not fresh but chewy, long waiting inside around 25min, drive thru approx 20 min Orders not always correct!!

It's a McDonald's! Very busy, but on busy days don't be surprised if they close because of it. I've had that happen twice and you'll need to wait outside, so if they weather isn't good you'll give up. Not the best food wise either, everything appears to have been made quite sometime before ordered.

One of the worst McDonald's around. Make sure you check your order before leaving the window. They will take your money and not give you the food. This cannot be blamed on young staff, this requires protocols put in place by management to avoid happening in the future.

should have received by 20.20 from ordering at the latest. didn't arrive until 20.45 with no code sent to give driver to show proof of delivery. I spoke to management at McDonald's this morning who blamed not enough drivers as the reason for waiting 1 hour 15 minutes for delivery of a 10 minute journey. very unhappy even with a free meal as apology

Don’t order delivery. Every time miss items. It was difficult to get refunded. If you go to collect, it will also miss items. So, please check everything what you ordered.

Absolutely despicable!!!!! Food was freezing cold my fries was rock solid and didn’t have any straws for my drinks so I phoned up the restaurant and they put THE PHONE DOWN ON ME!!!! And they can not refund me??? Absolutely ridiculous service!

in the end I went to the Macdonald and ordered another meal and got home eaten food and still not arrived. very poor

I've never received my food. driver came at the door with a Burger King order because he silveredine to someone else. then I asked him to get a refund and he gave me the couriers phone number to ask for a refund. unbelievably useless and worst driver ever seen , I want my money refunded.

I don't normally feel the need to rate or review a McDonald's as you take the rough with the smooth but this was a very poor experience. Somehow they managed to make the fries taste nothing like fries or potato and they were served pretty cold. I can understand why several people were complaining about delivery orders arriving and the food being stone cold. If the fries were cold before being sent out for delivery, they won't warm up along the way. My burger was poorly assembled and three tiny cubes of onion wasn't exactly what you'd expect from a 'portion', and the patties were very dry. The milkshake was so aerated that it felt like there was nothing in the cup and when taking a drink through the straw, it didn't really feel like a drink at all. Quite impressive how that feat was managed to be fair but its not what you want from a drink... the person who 'served' me was already heading back into the kitchen before putting my tray down and I had to call out to them for some sauce, but the excuses being given to the poor customers who had received cold deliveries was something else (especially given they had waited nearly 2 hours for their orders to arrive). On top of the above (or more accurately below the above), the trays we had our meal served on were very dirty. In a nutshell, avoid this McDonald's if you can. Certainly if I lived in Bisceter I'd be going to an out of town McDonald's.

unfortunately the wrong order was delivered. Kept what I hadn't ordered, but driver didn't return. Not blamimg the courier, I should have checked. The courier was on time and courteous

3 out of 3 times we have visited recently, the order has taken ages, lots of items have been missing or wrong and the food is stone cold. Today the place was filthy, no soap in toilets, Crayons missing from the wall, Ipads broken.We only come back because the kids enjoy it for some unknown reason.

This McDonald’s is so bad for getting orders ready, I have had wrong orders delivered and my food is almost always cold and the delivery takes longer than it says at the courier gets stuck at the restaurant for so long

Raw fries. Fillet sauce was in the box, not in the burger! Mcplant was thrown together. Milkshake had spillage down the side of the cup. Disgrace

I ordered 7 McMuffin meals for the family. Order arrived with all 7 hash browns missing. Driver only had that bag so must have been packed incorrectly at the store. Once I reached out to Just Eat for support they gave me £5 account credit. One hash brown costs £1.99 so no where near covers the cost of 7 hash browns. Check your bag before ordering from here.

The driver left my food on the floor outside and it was raining and cold. To find out I open the bag and all frozen cold and wet. Not happy Consider I spent £15 on it Couldn’t eat as it was freezing cold while a waste of money.

Ordered chicken and bacon wrap with NO BACON and received bacon inside.. went back through drive thru and was met with disgusting attitude from what seems to be the manager (blond bob cut older lady in white shirt) - I asked why I had not got an apology as this is a serious matter and she said I gave attitude so she’s not going to apologise. She lost all sense of professional from the moment we gave the receipt showing “no bacon” - instead of apologising (after having to ask for one) she said people sometimes don’t read the receipt properly when preparing the food. Good luck to anyone who may have severe food allergies …
